“ We have tandoori chicken as well as sausages and ribs.” Melanie said.
“ Are you hungry Tornado and Autumn?” Raine said.
“ What about for drinks what do you guys drink. I like lemon lime bitters, what do the rest think?” Penny said.

“Yeah, very hungry,” Tornado said to Raine as she licked her lips and took a look at a mental image of her favorite foods. “I can see it, now. A big, juicy T-bone steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, baked beans with pieces of bacon, and corn on the cob. Yum!”
“We like to drink water or soda with these kinds of food,” Patch said to Penny as he started walking down the pathway.
Priscilla and Tornado followed Patch.
“So, Autumn, Shadow,” said Tornado, “what kinds of food do you love eating?”

Both Shadow and Autumn thought about their favorite foods, following the others. Autumn grinned as she eyed to Tornado. "You just described my favorite foods. We have similar tastes!" The overweight Dalmatian poked at her belly, imagining herself filling it out, even more, gaining more pounds.
Shadow said, "Mine are hamburgers, spaghetti and meatballs, tortellini and tortelloni, pizza, I prefer four meat—pepperoni, ham, Canadian bacon, and sausage. Oh, and Cecilia got me hooked on Poutine, which is a huge mess of fries topped with cheese curds and brown gravy."
Autumn's muzzle watered as she licked her lips. "Shadow, you're getting me even more hungry." she said.

“ We still have to cook the food by the way I can bring out chips and drinks out and a deck of cards or something.” Melanie said.
“ Mine is pork ribs, Melanie likes spicy meats and Penny just loves food.” Raine said.
“ Who found this area by the way?” Penny said,

“We sure do, do we?” Tornado said to Autumn. “That is amazing!”
She turned to Shadow.
“All that sounds so good! That makes me want to eat all those foods, right now!”
She then turned to Melanie.
“It’s obvious that we do, but can’t we just have a simple conversation about food?”
Several minutes later, they made it back to the campsite.
“Okay, let’s get started,” Patch said as he took off his backpack and set it beside his chair. “Priscilla, Tornado, help me with the grill.”
Patch, Priscilla, and Tornado unlocked the storage compartment in their RV and got out a grill, a bag of coal, a box of matches, and other things needed for preparation for a barbecue.

Autumn wagged her tail. She felt like hugging Tornado, but it was clear that she was busy. At the campsite, she went into Shadow's RV and got out drinks for everyone to enjoy, from juice to soda to water.
She was ready to have a good time, and it was a good opportunity to rest her bare feet.
"Is there anything I could be of help?" Shadow asked Patch.

“ I’m sorry it’s just you’re making me hungry that’s all.” Melanie said.
“Do you want me to bring the meats out?” Penny said to Patch and Priscilla.
“ You can help with bringing the meats out Shadow if you want.” Raine said.

“I got it,” Patch said to Shadow, and he got the grill all set up and ready to cook the meat on. “Actually, since all of us are eating together, you can bring or make something to go with all these meats.”
He got the grill lit up and started cooking the meat on it.
“Well, we are preparing to eat, right now,” Tornado said to Melanie, “so I think, at this point, making you hungry seems to be a good thing.”
“Bring whatever you can,” Priscilla said to Penny as she took off her shoes and socks and placed them inside Patch’s RV right by the door. “Patch, after a while, can you let me take over in cooking the food so you can make yourself comfortable and keep Tornado from getting at the food before it’s ready?”
“Sure, Priscilla,” said Patch.

Shadow nods to Patch and smiled warmly after Priscilla took off her shoes and socks. "I'm so glad that you decided to join me and Autumn and Raine and company in being barefoot, Priscilla. Now, for the time being, you can feel the earth underneath your soles and toes," he said. "Feels great, doesn't it?"
He then eyed Raine as he said, "Sure thing! Always glad to help!"
Autumn giggled at Melanie. "You and me both, Mel."

“ It is Autumn, you know what’s the best, eating the food straight off the barbecue.” Melanie said to Autumn
Penny got the meats out and placed them where the grill is.
“ It is so good Shadow, especially the nice grass without the bindies in it.” Raine said.
“ Hey Autumn wanna help me cook the tandoori chicken?” Melanie said.

“I’m so glad to have our RV’s parked here near the river and on the comfortable, cool, green grass,” Priscilla said to Shadow as she walked over to her seat and sat down. “It does feel really good.”
“I’m gonna get myself a drink,” Tornado said as she went to the cooler and got out a can of lemon-lime soda.
“Yeah, you do that,” Patch said to Tornado as he continued cooking the meats on his grill. “That should hold you over until the food is ready.”

Shadow smiled warmly at Priscilla as he said, "See? Walking barefoot is better for us than wearing shoes. In fact, studies show that it's more healthier, as it lowers the risk of athelete's foot."
The overweight, star-spotted Dalmatian then eyed to Patch. "Well, I did make some potato salad. I placed it in the fridge in my RV so that it won't spoil," he said. "Let me go get it." He walked over to his RV and came out with a Tupperware filled with his world famous potato salad. He figured he should make an announcement.
"Everyone, watch where you drop food. If it happens, pick it up and throw it away. The last thing we want is an ant or roach infestation."
Autumn nodded in reply. "Will do, Shadow. But I think we can manage." she said.
She eyed Melanie. Surely she'll be of great help, and not because it was about food, her most favorite thing in the entire world—next to her own plump belly. Still, she is always available to lend a helping paw. "Sure," she said, walking over to Melanie. Compared to the latter, Autumn's belly significantly jutted out. "But may I ask where you learn how to cook tandoori chicken?"

“ It’s a cultural thing, I’ve a bit of Indian in me and so once I found that I wanted to learn. See the skewers, thread the chicken though the skewer, and place them on the charcoal grill. “ Melanie said.
Penny set up the tables, she brought out the plates and cutlery.
“ Afterwards I can bring a dessert Melanie prepared earlier.” Raine said.
“Do you guys want tabouli?” Penny said.

“Yeah, well, it’s still common sense to wear shoes and other footwear whenever needed,” Priscilla said to Shadow. “So, don’t expect me to go like this all the time.”
Patch watched Shadow get potato salad as he continued to cook the meats.
“Okay, we will,” he said after he heard the announcement from Shadow, and he turned to Priscilla. “Priscilla, you can cook the meats, now. I’ll go get the trays.”
Priscilla went to the grill and took over cooking duties, while Patch went back into his RV to get the trays for him, Priscilla, and Tornado to eat their food on, since they would not be eating at the table while outside. After a couple of minutes, Patch came back out with the trays, now barefoot. All he was now wearing was a pair of shorts (and a pair of underwear under it, obviously). He then handed one of the trays to Tornado and placed the other two, one each, on his and Priscilla’s seats.
