“What makes you think these books are magic!?” Clayton asks; “Kind of quick to assume that they are…”. While Clayton himself does believe in magic, and has been witness to the super natural in work, he did find it curious why everyone’s first assumption is that they’re magic books.
As he continues to check for a blurb, he finds a date in the back of the book. The date seem to read; 1930.
“Okay, certainly an Ol’ book!” He nods, before he noticed what Turner was doing, and he awkwardly asks; “Erm…You Okay, there?”.

Genesis flipped their book to the back cover and saw the year 1926 printed in black. They heard Clayton and said, "I think it's safe to say since supernatural events seem to happen here, magic books could be a possibility. Not to say that they are." They then cast their eyes on Shadow.
Shadow knew about his magic book. If one book is genuine magic, what to say there's others? And the probability of encountering other magic books are slim. "So," he said, hearing Genesis, "there's a chance I may no longer be the sole owner of a magic book."
He then yelped, watching Turner lick the book of his choice. "GAH! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Shadow quickly took the book away from Turner. "You don't lick books. Oh, Dog! Now you got slobber all over!" Turner's drool seeped from the book and onto the floorboard.

Patch looked over to Turner and saw that the was licking the book that the latter had.
“No, please, don’t do that,” he said, and he turned to Raine. “It felt like entering a dream. The way we ended up in the story is as if we were going through a wormhole to a new world. A magic world, if you will.”
He opened the book again and turned to the copyright page, seeing that it was published in 1945. He then directed his attention to Clayton.
“I’m just saying that it’s possible that any of them are magic,” he said, and, after just hearing Genesis and Shadow, he began to believe that there was a small number of books that were actually magic, and they were all rare.
By this point, Priscilla slowly woke back up.
“Boy, that was a good rest,” she said as she stood up on all fours and stretched her body and groaned as she did so. “So, did I miss anything?”

"I'm fine, nothing like a..." Turner replied to Clayton, he then felt the book being torn away from his paws by the star spotted pup. "But it tastes just like Cotton Candy." Turner said to Patch and Shadow as he heard their comments about him licking the book.
Lucy walked over to Shadow and noticed some of the dust on the book and slobber. "That's dust, Turner." She said to the dim witted pup. "Humans use the expression Dust Bunnies, and you've just..."
"I've got bunnies in my tummy now?" Turner gasped as he looked at the four pups.
Lucy just shook her head, wondering what goes on in Turner's head, as she looked at Melanie. "I have to say that Fantasy is one of my favorite stories." She replied to Melanie, she then looked at Priscilla. "Just that Turner tried eating a book." She replied as she looked at one of the books in the box, she picked up a book that read. "MAGIC'S AND WONDERS." She was curious of the book and saw some sort of language that she didn't really understand. "This is a strange book." She spoke out loud. "Nothing but weird writing."

Raine asked “ I’m going to look for a food book. Just imagine a world that’s completely edible?”
Melanie looked at Turner and laughed she said to him “ turn the pages with your paw or nose like this” opening her book with her paw.
“ How do you know what’s magical and what’s not like how long does the magic take to come into effect?” Raine said.

"So, Magic Book is Plan A, when we find a book, now?" Clayton asks, at Genesis explanation, before staring awkwardly at what Turner was doing, before hushing aside; "Well, if they are magic, he's got magical bunnies, now!" He awkwardly asks Turner "Can you...not...eat the books, Please?"
Clayton flicked through the book he was holding, and saw a page that began with; "Papworth stared at the stars around him and stirred them round like a drink with his paw. The stars forming a spiral galaxy, and all with a wave of his paw".
"May be intriguing to read..." He comments; "What happens in your ones?" he asks.

Genesis stared back at their book with the robe wearing dog and the two kids on the cover. They opened the book to a particular page and started reading. "Magic is everywhere, but treat it respectfully, for if you abuse it for your own gain, eternal suffering will be on the horizon." They said. Flipping to another page, Genesis cleared their throat. "'Clayton,' the squire said to the Golden Retriever, 'remember, focus, or you'll lose control.'" Genesis kept on reading. "Clayton took a deep breath as kept his paws aimed at the targets. As he relaxed, his paws illuminated an eerie purple before the targets all met their electrical demise."
They chuckled, eyeing to Clayton the Dalmatian. "Hey Clayton, this Retriever in this book has the same name as you!"
Shadow perked his ears and grinned at Clayton and Genesis. "What a small world we live in. We are bound to share the same name with book characters." he said. He went back to the box and started looking for books that will intrigue him.

Patch wondered how a book could taste like cotton candy or any other treat. He could understand if a book smelled like such, but tasted like such was something that didn’t make any sense. He looked at another page of the book he picked out, which read the title of the book, which was The Blue Shield Of Virtue.
“He did?” Priscilla said to Lucy right after she finished stretching, and she looked over to Turner. “Why would you do that?”
“Priscilla, I’m glad to see you’re awake, now,” Patch said to his girlfriend as soon as he heard her awake. “I was just about to read this book that I picked out for you and me to read together.”
Priscilla then directed her attention away from Turner and to Patch and went over to sit right next to her boyfriend.
“All right,” she said, looking into the book with Patch. “What book is this?”
“It’s called The Blue Shield Of Virtue,” Patch said as he turned to the next page, but before he could begin reading the story, he looked up at Raine to answer him. “You’ll know that it’s magic when it immediately happens after you open the book, and you’ll know that it’s not magic when it doesn’t immediately happen after you open the book.”
Patch looked back into the book and read from the first page of the story, which read as follows:
“There were so many people in the kingdom of Azurador, yet so little of them had very good morals. It was once said that a young person in the kingdom who was found to have very good morals would be destined to be its best knight and have in their possession, a magical item called the Blue Shield of Virtue.”

Melanie was intrigued by what Patch was reading. It seemed interesting and exciting to be apart of it. “ Hmm The Blue Shield of Virtue, that book title reminds me of the Legend of Zelda. Imagine visiting Hyrule Castle.”
Raine nodded at Patch and continued to listen to him about story.

“Actually, the Retriever is called Papworth!” Clayton pointed out what it said in his book, a bit puzzled how Genesis read it as Clayton.
He then eyed up to Patch reading; “Something tells me that is the first in the series?” He asks.

Genesis blushed, feeling embarassed, like they played a wrong note at a public recital. "Apologies, Clayton. I must've subconsciously remembered another book where a character shares your name." they said. "Aside from that, I smell a bestseller."
Shadow overheard Genesis and said, "That what happens when one reads a lot of books. We sometimes mix up the characters."

Patch noticed right away that the book he was just reading indeed had a few similarities to The Fable Of Adela as soon as Melanie brought up the latter. As soon as he heard Clayton speak to him about the book called The Blue Shield Of Virtue, he flipped through the pages to the final ones, seeing what other books were available that were written by the author of this book.
“It is,” he said. “It’s the first installment of a trilogy called The Primary Kingdoms. The second installment is called The Red Sword Of Truth, and the third installment is called The Yellow Helmet Of Wisdom.”

Melanie said to Patch “ I can’t wait to hear more of that book and the rest of series. Now it really sounds like Zelda with the three titles like virtues, truth and wisdom and the triforce has power, wisdom and courage. It’s just like A Link to the past, Ocarina of time and Majora’s Mask.”
Raine said to the guys “ shall I read a bit of the food book to see what it in tales?” he was interested as the book was about a place that was completely edible and you don’t put on weight and it doesn’t effect your health.
Melanie was reading about being chased by a ghost and a hedge maze that there was only one way that was the right way to escape but closed up in time. “Hey guys this book a maze and ghost. The purpose is to escape the maze. There a 5 phases of the maze. You start at the same spot and alway end up at classic fork in the road. One is the right to escaping and the rest lead to you losing. However we can’t take long because a ghost is chasing us and every time we pass something in slowly erases.”
