So it looks like the next big one that's out now is Luck. I'm hoping AniMat will enjoy it less than DCLOSP.

Sorry for being late on this. I got sidetracked and busy. But here is AniMat's review on "Luck":
Story: 2/10 Animation: 8/10 Characters: 4/10
Overall: 5/10 = 47%
This movie was so close to getting his Seal of Garbage, but just missed it by a margin! As John Lasseter's comeback, this wound up being a repetitive and tedious picture with a cliche plot like "Alice in Wonderland" and focuses too much on the theme of luck, and it borrowed way too much from Disney. No wonder John Lasseter wanted to make this movie! Other than that, the animation is also a mixed bag, and the characters don't get enough development because of how much they push the concept.
Now, here's how the rankings look:
1. Turning Red - 87% 2. Bob's Burgers: The Movie - 83% 3. The Bad Guys - 80% 4. Lightyear - 77% 5. The Sea Beast - 73% 6. DC League of Super Pets - 60% 7. Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood - 60% 8. Minions: The Rise of Gru - 60% 9. Luck - 47% 10. Paws of Fury: Legend of Hank - 43% 11. Hotel Transylvania: Transformania - 33% 12. Ice Age: The Adventures of Buck Wild - 33%
Not sure what the next one in line is now, but hopefully, it'll be something actually worthwhile.

I didn't think that was going to be very good. The concept of luck is just a little too broad for a movie.
And it doesn't look like we will be seeing a new animated film for a few months now. We will have Strange World for Thanksgiving and Puss in Boots: the Last Wish for the Christmas season. Not seeing anything else.

We will have Strange World for Thanksgiving and Puss in Boots: the Last Wish for the Christmas season. Not seeing anything else. Supposedly we are getting “Under the Boardwalk” in a little bit, “Wendell and Wild” in October, and Guillermo del Torro’s “Pinocchio” in December, and also the next “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” film sometime around then. If he reveals anything else, it’s likely going to be from one of the streaming services.

So I saw the trailer for Wendell and Wild earlier today, and it was not at all what I was expecting! It looks more like Henry Sellick is making his own version of The Boondocks or Bless the Harts. Now, I’m having second thoughts about this movie, and I think I decided I’m going to pass on it.

Well, after three months of no new review, here's AniMat's score of "Wendell & Wild" finally back with these!:
Story: 7/10 Animation: 10/10 Characters: 8/10
Overall: 8/10
I honestly thought this was going to get his seal of approval, but it came pretty close to knocking "Turning Red" off the #1 spot!
So now, here's where the scores stand:
1. Turning Red - 87% 2. Wendell & Wild - 83% 3. Bob's Burgers: The Movie - 83% 4. The Bad Guys - 80% 5. Lightyear - 77% 6. The Sea Beast - 73% 7. DC League of Super Pets - 60% 8. Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood - 60% 9. Minions: The Rise of Gru - 60% 10. Luck - 47% 11. Paws of Fury: Legend of Hank - 43% 12. Hotel Transylvania: Transformania - 33% 13. Ice Age: The Adventures of Buck Wild - 33%

It looks like AniMat has just reviewed “My Father’s Dragon” from Netflix.
Story: 6/10 Animation: 10/10 Characters: 6/10
Overall: 7/10 = 73%
Considering this was by Cartoon Saloon, I was expecting him to praise the hell out of it, but surprisingly, not this time. Still, here’s his rankings now:
1. Turning Red - 87% 2. Wendell & Wild - 83% 3. Bob's Burgers: The Movie - 83% 4. The Bad Guys - 80% 5. Lightyear - 77% 6. The Sea Beast - 73% 7. My Father’s Dragon - 73% 8. DC League of Super Pets - 60% 9. Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood - 60% 10. Minions: The Rise of Gru - 60% 11. Luck - 47% 12. Paws of Fury: Legend of Hank - 43% 13. Hotel Transylvania: Transformania - 33% 14. Ice Age: The Adventures of Buck Wild - 33%
Next up is the big one: Strange World!

I do think I will enjoy Strange World, though I do have some reservations the way some movies go.

Okay guys we have it, Disney's newest animated movie, Strange World.
Something's wrong. I was looking for its consensus on RT and it's a notable step down compared to the last few movies.
Critics' score: 75% Audience score: 59%
For the uninitiated, they list a score lower than 60% as "Rotten", so critics agree it's good, but audiences have a much more mixed opinion on it. Its critical score is only a bit lower than Frozen 2!
The consensus is:
Strange World is a Disney milestone in terms of representation -- but as a storytelling experience, this dazzlingly animated adventure offers little audiences haven't already seen.
I plan to see this movie but something tells me there's going to be a shake-up coming soon.

Sounds to me like Turning Red is going to wind up being the animated film of the year this year. I’ll let you know my thoughts when I see Strange World this Friday.

I just got back from seeing Strange World. And... *sighs* what to say about this one...
I should say I felt there were some really nice and inventive animation and some good underlying themes. The characters have the potential to be solid too.
However, these are seemingly a bunch of problems I had. For one, I found the writing to be very dull, and there was no truly clever lines of dialogue. Some of the issues feel like they could be attempts to be mature, but chances are is just something kids won't understand. And then there was a trend that we see lately in Disney movies that this movie followed. Like movies like Moana, Ralph Breaks the Internet, Frozen 2, Raya and the Last Dragon and Encanto, there's not really a villain; the story is built on the heroes having something of a strife that causes a rift and now they need to make amends over. I understand they are trying to tell kids you should try to be good neighbors and not hold grudges but by this point, this story thread is starting to feel like a lecture. I would appreciate going back to stories that contain actual villains.
As evidence of my claim, before the movie starts we see an ad for Illumination's new Super Mario Bros. Movie and my stance may have softened a bit as a result. These movies are supposed to be fun.
In all honesty, I might be tempted to put this movie more towards my worst list than my best list!

Well, I just got back from seeing Strange World. Call me the opposite of Trey_Vore, but I thought the movie was incredible! Whoever made it sure had a lot of imagination! My only problem with it is it felt a little rushed, and there are some classic cliches in it that I won’t say to avoid any spoilers. Was it better than Raya and the Last Dragon? Not by a long shot! Was it better than Encanto? Mmm…No. Regardless, I am going to safely say that this has been the best animated film of the year!
As for what AniMat thought?
Story: 6/10 Animation: 9/10 Characters: 6/10
Overall: 8/10 = 80%
Oddly, he gave it his Seal of Approval despite it not being high enough to achieve that. Now, here’s the ranking:
1. Turning Red - 87% 2. Wendell & Wild - 83% 3. Bob's Burgers: The Movie - 83% 4. The Bad Guys - 80% 5. Strange World - 80% 6. Lightyear - 77% 7. The Sea Beast - 73% 8. My Father’s Dragon - 73% 9. DC League of Super Pets - 60% 10. Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood - 60% 11. Minions: The Rise of Gru - 60% 12. Luck - 47% 13. Paws of Fury: Legend of Hank - 43% 14. Hotel Transylvania: Transformania - 33% 15. Ice Age: The Adventures of Buck Wild - 33%
All that’s left now is Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and possibly Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules.

Sad to say Belchic, but... it kinda seems the public doesn't say the same.
Over Thanksgiving weekend, Strange World made only $28 million against a budget of $180 million. It's already being declared a bomb on the level of something like Treasure Planet. They stand to lose $147 million.
Chances are, it's unlikely that this will vindicated as a hit. It'll never be on the level of Frozen or Encanto.
Happy 100th indeed.

Though I am sure it will get a cult following like a lot of their less successful films did. Also, Disney is not 100 yet. They’re saving that for what is probably sure to be a worthy celebration of that title: Wish.

I know that Disney is gay-friendly and all, but... they need to stop with this social-awareness stuff, kids should not have to be subjected to this sort of thing so soon.
That may have been a contributing factor to Lightyear underperforming as well.
I bet it will gain a cult just... it's poor performance isn't surprising. Hopefully they'll rebound with Wish.
