It certainly could end up like that, if they've got a Tony-winner for it. The possibility is extremely high. (Here's the picture of her at the studio confirming she'll be in it: http://instagram.com/p/uq1BR0vO9h )

This may not be of any interest to some of you, but I learned a few days ago that Lena Hall (currently starring in Hedwig And The Angry Inch on Broadway, and a Tony winner this past season for her role in the aforementioned show) will be guest starring in an upcoming S5 episode. I have virtually no detail on it other than that she is going to be in it, but she's a very big fan of the show (going so far as to end her Tony speech with "friendship is magic"), so I think it's awesome that she got this guest spot. If anything, I hope she'll be singing in it.

The new member will be focused on doing snow rescues, I presume?

Actually no, I've never really given the 101 Dalmatians musical a listen. But by a funny coincidence, that same friend I mentioned up there was in the touring show of the 101 Dalmatians musical! He was a swing (meaning that he had an ensemble role and was trained to fill in for other roles at a moment's notice if need be).
From what I remember my director telling me, the HoND musical is going to be closer to the book, and a lot darker than the original film. I'm still yet to get my tickets for the show but the theatre it will be playing at is in my state, so going out to see it at a moment's notice isn't going to be a huge problem.

Hunchback is currently in the works to potentially go to Broadway, hence why I listed it. My teacher (and Thespian Society adviser) has a very good friend of her's that is going to be in the cast for when the show starts playing at the Paper Mill, which is where a good number of to-Broadway shows are previewed. (In fact, I just saw a show there last weekend).

I wasn't really sure as to which board this fit in, but I figured that this one made the most sense.
Anyway! Theatre is an undeniably huge part of my life, and I know that there's a good number of people here who perform in shows, listen to musicals, or have seen shows live. So list your favorites here!
(Please note that I am only including the versions of Disney musicals that have been converted for the stage; not the movies)

I've seen this show every once in a while, mostly on days off from school and back in the beginning of summer. After a while it does tend to get a little formulaic, but the puppies' personalities counterbalance each other nicely, and the show's location is really a fun one. And, as I've found out, this show even has a good-sized fandom on DeviantART and elsewhere, which is something I was kind of expecting but not to the size it is.
Zuma's area of specialization is water; he handles most of the water-themed rescues, like when they have to help the local sealife or rescue people stuck out at sea, for instance.
I think my favorite character is Marshall. Breed aside, he's really adorable. Skye's a close second, though.

Break a leg on the audition! I do happen to know a few songs from the show. "Let's Not Talk About Anything Else But Love" and "Pulled" might be my favorites, though I don't know the entire show very well.

The site on which the gifs are hosted has been down for at least a week and a half, if not longer. Rather annoying, if you ask me.

I'm going to be a senior in high school! Which is still extremely surreal to me, but I still have some summer left so I'm enjoying it while I can. Went to a pre-college art program a month ago and learned the basics of both life drawing and animation, which was a lot of fun. I haven't been nearly as active around here as of late, but I've been doing work for other sites and occasionally writing when I can.

A little late to report, but Season 2 has finally started airing, with the premiere being on August 1st. New episodes are airing weekly on Monday nights on Disney XD (because apparently that's where Disney decided to move all their cartoon shows to), and Disney broadcasts them on their normal channel on their Friday night blocks.
I'm yet to catch up on the latest episode, but three eps have aired so far. The plot is only thickening and this show is getting better and better.
