Random Fact #4785:
Paul Reubens' father was at one point a fighter pilot during World War 2, first he flew for Britain's Royal Air Force and then for the US Air Force. He was also one of the first pilots to fly in the Israeli Air Force.
Random Fact #4786:
When Pee-wee Herman took off as a hit, during production on Pee-wee's Playhouse he would commute from his home in Los Angeles, California to New York City, New York every week for one year until the show was relocated to California the next year.
Random Fact #4787:
After the incident that led to his arrest in 1991, he dated Debi Mazar from 1993 to 1999. Paul Reubens did cite her as ending his depression following his arrest. However, Paul Reubens was never actually married.

In the meantime, I just scored myself a copy of Kung Fu Panda 4 on a Wal-Mart gift set.
It's the Blu-ray, DVD, digital copy and a free set of novelty chopsticks. I love it.

Hey guys. I did get to see the new Garfield movie. To be honest, I didn't think it was that great. Probably the biggest issue I had was the fact that the movie didn't have a type of story that seemed to fit Garfield's style. I remember hearing a part of the story in Garfield on the Town (the special where Garfield meets his mother), but here he's supposed to be caught up in a heist scenario that just doesn't fit. I'll add that Chris Pratt does okay in the role, but you are not going to prefer him over Lorenzo Music. Odie seemed to be vastly different as well, and also unnecessary. I didn't hate the movie but I can only recommend it to kids and serious Garfield fans. I'm going to give this movie a C-, and it doesn't look like the movie is having a great start at the box-office either. www.yahoo.com/entertainment/box-office-furiosa-garfield-movie-153331897.html

Well the critics' score on RT only got worse (its now at 36%), and their consensus is:
The Garfield Movie rolls along at a zany enough clip to be diverting enough for kids, but this animated adventure doesn't much resemble Jim Davis's ironically grumpy creation.
But like babclayman says audiences matter too. Their score is currently at 87%, which means they probably needed a cheap way to entertain the kids now that school is out, and Garfield was the answer.
Adding on his example, I remember when we got Sing 2 during Christmas 2021, they emphasized the audience score which was overall higher than the critics score.
I plan to see this movie because we are on Memorial day weekend and to see where my opinion falls. Because one, I'm a Garfield fan, and two, I need a divert my attention from the atrocities going on now.
I will have more fun seeing this movie than reading yet another Ukraine vs. Russia article.

Maybe it was for the best it didn't get a theatrical release then.
Like I said before, we are getting Garfield for Memorial Day Weekend.
I was looking at some professional critics' reviews and? ...well, it's already looking better than the two live-action films, at least. Right now RT scored it a 52%, and metacritic says 42%, so opinions on it are pretty divided.
Gotta say though, those are much better scores than I was expecting. So... mission accomplished?

And Ellis on the 1994 comedy Clifford. He was Uncle Martin's boss.
I know that we reported on the passing of Mikhail Gorbachev, but we have another politician who may have just bitten the dust.
Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi and his foreign minister were in a helicopter crash and it was just found in mountainous terrain in icy weather.
Hopes are fading that they are still alive.

Well the next major animated film we have coming in a week is The Garfield Movie. This will be the first time we will be seeing Garfield in a major motion picture since Garfield's A Tail of Two Kitties in 2006.
I still don't have very high hopes, but who knows.

I did like this movie. I remember a lot of hype for it back when it was being released in 2003.
This may not have been a necessary sequel but I do feel it has some aspects of virtue.

This one is a list on movieweb that a lot of fans will in all likelihood agree with: Top 10 Things in The Simpsons That Fans Like to Pretend Never Happened(They are saying that there are storylines that fans, and the writers, would prefer to expel from the show's canon. I'll also list the offending episode and the Season it aired in. It's good to see that the show itself agrees with this) #10: Moe's Magical Talking Dishrag ("Moe Goes From Rags to Riches", Season 23) #9: Leprechaun Jockeys ("Saddlesore Galactica", Season 11) #8: The "Simpson Gene" ("Lisa the Simpson", Season 9) #7: All of Homer's Other Children ("Adventures in Baby-Getting", Season 24) #6: Lisa's Restraining Order Against Bart ("On a Clear Day I Can't See My Sister", Season 16) #5: Death of Snowball 2 ("I, D'ohBot", Season 15) #4: Milhouse's Parents Getting Divorced ("A Milhouse Divided", Season 8) #3: Homer and Marge Now Grew Up in the 1990s, Apparently ("That '90s Show", Season 19) #2: Principal Skinner is an Impostor ("The Principal and the Pauper", Season 9) #1: Mona Simpson's Final Protest (generally her character after "Mother Simpson", but Season 19's "Mona Leaves-a" in particular) movieweb.com/the-simpsons-fans-pretend-never-happened/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR3Ehy1kLL6sYAuSQOh_I3xcmLvs-QHHhFLFn93cWY2JPZb7vIAvoy9gCLU_aem_AUTUC0ki4GaB28wZZu5ukY5Dvx3azH1DQLlXGpYoox2Ew9hN7Px-8Hd2uqXoJcDY9O0LvvJXBhcQGRkUJjolRr8B
