Speaking of music, what type of music do you like to listen to? I'll go first. I'll listen to pretty much anything: country, rock (1980s rock, but I also like modern rock), jazz, and classical.

I listen to mostly any genre. Except for maybe Scandinavian dance music? Most of the bands I enjoy can be considered experimental. I am a huge fan of Electronica, related genres such as Trip Hop, Noise and some Drum n Bass. I'm also a keen listener to ambient and world music. The Jazz has always been with me, bop to free jazz. I'm not shy to admit I like some classical works to, but more in the vein of Impressionistic and the so-called Avantgardists. But I am not all weird genres you have never heard of: I listen to pop and rock as any other, even though I usually select from a less bubblegum-ish catalog. Psychedelic rock is good. Punk/Hardcore is good. And a sub-genre called mathcore. Industrial music is really fascinating. I haven't gotten to explore that genre so much yet. And then there is metal music. With all it's sub genres. Doom metal is the thing for me here. And perhaps also more Experimental metal. Top this off with a little Old school Hip Hop and Reggae and now you have an almost good view of what's in my iTunes =) If this is TL;DR for you here are some bands/artists that mean alot to me even though there is probably 200 bands/artists I'm leaving out. The Beatles Klaus Schulze Black Sabbath Dead Can Dance Ornette Coleman Portishead Morphine Miles Davis Paradise Lost Tom Waits Muse Eric Satie Godspeed! You Black Emperor W.A.S.P. (Gotta have some 80s metal ) The White Stripes

You know, as long as we're discussing what our favorite music is we might as well discuss our favorite artists.
