This pnes a bit short, but you should enjoy it nevertheless ^^
The Gateway of Time
A lone male Dalmatian wandered the side of an old country road. Around his neck was a chain with a gothic style cross charm hanging from it. His forelegs and hind legs are covered with large black "socks" , the upper half of which, near his knee joins, resemble flames. He has but a few small splotches on the body of his coat and his ears are black. His eyes were as blue as the sea as he slowly walked along the road. As he approached an old wooden fence, he stopped.
Another male Dalmatian without any spots sat nearby.
“Good morning, Volkner…” He said, looking at the other dog who sat down, his black and white coat contrasting the mornings light.
“Hey Oddy.” Volkner replied.
“Don’t you get sick of your nomadic ways? Settle down already…Find ya a nice girl or something… or in your case, a girl willing to put up with you!” Oddy joked.”
“It’s just…not for me…” Volkner said shaking his head.
“You be careful out there… I’ve been hearing about these two psychos not far from hear.”
“I’ve heard about that too.”
“Oh, Volk!” a voice rang through the air.
“Oh, for the love of God, no….” Volkner said putting a paw to his forehead. A Caramel colored corgi with white fur on his chest appeared floating in the air, holding an hourglass in one paw as he rested on thin air.
“Hate to break it to ya, but, uh…. It’s him.” Oddy said.
“Volkner, have you heard about these two…hooligans?” the corgi asked.
“We were just talking about them.” Volkner replied.
“Yes, well, as you know, I’m Clockwork, also commonly known as “Father Time”, and as such I can see what the future holds… and it isn’t pretty. I shouldn’t meddle in this, but… I’m going to send you back in time to retrieve something…”
“Oh, ok, as long as -…wait, WHAT?! NO!”
“I’m afraid there’s no option for you, my boy…”
“Don’t worry, I’ll be there…”said a black lab approaching slowly with a serious and intimidating look on his face.
“Scythe… where have YOU been hiding?” Volkner said with a laugh.
“If it were any of your business… I’d have told you…” Said Scythe with a glare.
“Yes, well, if I could interrupt, since both I and Scythe there existed in the time I’m sending you to, I can send a message to my past self giving you instructions and whatnot, and of course Scythe can help you.” Clockwork explained.
“……ok…um….my brain hurts….” Volkner said.
“Allow me to explain…” Clockwork said clearing his throat.
“PLEASE don’t… just send me. Always me…” Volkner said shaking his head.
“Hold on a minute…” A brown furred wolf said running up to greet the crowd.
“And you are?” Oddy asked.
“His name is Wolfblade Takashi. He and I go way back.” Volkner said.
“Seein’ as how I’m just so nice, I’ll tag along with you.” Wolfblade said.
“Can we really trust him?” Clockwork asked.
“I just told you we go way back, sheesh.” Volkner replied harshly.
“Still got the old tude I see…” Wolfblade said giving Volkner a smirk.
“Shut up, Takashi…” Volkner said narrowing his eyes at the wolf.
“Well then, I’ll just send you on your way…” Clockwork said dropping the hourglass. The hourglass grew to a tremendous size, and the glass broke and vanishes in a flash, the sand along with it. The frame of the hourglass remained, glowing in it’s center.
“Go on now, it won’t hurt you, just step in.” Clockwork said.
