I find this to be one of the quintessential episodes of the series. However, there was one part of it that I thought was a bit out of mind. Was it Lucky's idea to try to catapult Rolly into the chow tower? Then what made him think that little Cadpig would be able to provide enough force to launch Rolly (along with the bucket and all that metal) from the catapult? It surprised me even more that Rolly outweighed a block of hay!

I have to say that this episode contained what I thought was the funniest scene in the entire series; the scene where Lucky, Rolly and Cadpig attempt to get into the chow tower by using the giant helium balloon that was shaped like a peanut. It was so unexpected and it still cracks me up to this day.

A top notch episode, in my opinion. The running gag of the pups falling into the mud still cracks me up to this day.

When I saw bab's This or That question related to this episode, it gave me the idea to talk about something about this episode that makes it problematic in a sense.
So, as we all know in the plot: The main pups have missed lunch time, Spot tries to tell them that Nanny left some extra kibble for them, but they ignore her and try to break into the chow tower.
What I find problematic about this episode is that...Why would Nanny leave extra kibble out for the main pups? Did she somehow telepathically know that three of the 99 pups missed lunch, so she decided to go and do that? How did she know? We learn throughout the series that it's impossible to keep track of 101 dogs all the time. Did Nanny happen to count the puppies who came and ate? Does she count as fast as Rain Man? Somebody please help me, because this is driving me insane!
I think those pups deserved to be blasted by the sewer pipe at the end.

Well, I think, Nanny understands the matter on how many Pups there are on the, Dearly Farm. ;3
So, She would have assumed, some Pups may miss it, so I think she put the Kibble there as a Precaution, And I think it would be her first try at doing it, Explaining on why the Dalmatians didn't know before. ^^;
Although, I do wonder, the Pups spend almost the Whole Episode to get into the Chow Tower, however in episode "K Is For Kibble" there is apparently a perfectly good Ladder which they climb up. Or was the Ladder installed, After the Events of this Episode? o.o
Still, It is one of the Finest Episodes and I will say, The Animation in the Episode is just Beautiful! X3 Definately somewhere on my Top Episodes List. *Hugs* X3
What you, Pups think then? *Hugs* X3
