Well, here ya go...even almost no one read the prologue....also, about the ending...couldn't help it , I just HAD to do it! but you know you love it!
A Night In Hell Hall part I
It was a peaceful October day, a cool breeze blowing over the Dearly Farm. It was a great day to be active, but Volkner was merely resting against a large tree next to Hiccup Hole. All of it’s leaves had fallen, and the tree almost looked sorrowful, many of it’s fallen leaves floating around in the water hole.
Oddy approached the half sleeping Volkner, shaking him awake. “Wha-?! GO AWAY! I don’t want any of your cookies!” Volkner called out, Oddy shaking his head.
“Oh…it’s you….alright, what blew up, died, was destroyed, or escaped this time?” Volkner asked.
“Nothing…for once.” Oddy replied.
“Good…I almost sick of all this “save the world” crap.” Volkner said, Oddy laughing.
“Oh yeah? Cause I’d give anything to do the stuff you do! Adventure…danger…I live for it!” Lucky called as he approached with Two Tone.
“Here we go again…” Two Tone said, putting a paw to her forehead.
“You guys have done everything!” Lucky continued.
“Well, not everything…” Oddy said.
“Hey! I know! Have you heard all of the rumors about Hell Hall?” Lucky asked.
“You mean the old Deville place you were locked up in as a puppy? No, I haven’t heard anything special about it…” Volkner answered.
“Yeah, well, they say it’s haunted or something! Why don’t you two go and confirm the rumors?” Lucky said.
“Psshh! Get real! You wanna go on an adventure so much, you do it!” Volkner replied.
“What’s the matter? Ya chicken?” Lucky said taunting them.
“Hey!” Spot called from a distance.
“Okay, fine! We’ll check it out, won’t we, Oddy?” Volkner said giving Oddy a wink.
“We will?...I mean, oh yeah! Definitely….and your coming too!” Oddy said as they both grabbed one of Lucky’s legs and dragged him along as he clawed the ground trying to pull away.
“What’s the matter? Chicken?” Volkner laughed.
It was almost nightfall when they had made the trek all the way to Hell Hall. The manor was old and decrepit, the gate rusted shut, and most of the windows busted, some with curtains flailing in the wind.
Volkner and Oddy forced open the rusted old gate and started inside, Lucky just sitting in front of the gate shaking as he stared at the foreboding building.
“C’mon, Scooby Doo!” Volkner said grabbing his paw and pulling him along with them.
They trekked along the stone path leading up a small slope to the manor, and they all stopped and sat at the doorstep, looking at the large double doors.
“Think it’s unlocked?” Oddy said.
“Doubt it…” Volkner replied.
“Tibs took us through a hole in the wall when he saved me and the others…” Lucky said looking around, following the wall of the building. “Here it is!” He said, pointing to the hole in the side of the building.
“So..uh..you guys goin’ in?” Lucky asked.
“Yeah, after you!” Oddy said.
“Oh, great…what have I gotten into?” Lucky said to himself as he squeezed through the whole, Volkner and Oddy following.
The tree pups sat in the hallway, a tattered red carpet along the walkway. Candles, though unlit, lined the walls as well as chandeliers. As the three dogs walked down the hallway, they heard a distinctive whistling sound around the corner.
“Oh boy…” Lucky said.
“Be quiet…” Volkner said as they turned at the corner.
“WAAAH!” screamed a small man as he met the pups at the corner. He had a red cacuum cleaner on his back, and was wearing white gloves, a green shirt, boots, and blue overalls. He had a distinctive mustache and green cap with a large “L” on it. His brow hair was down to his neck, and he had slight sideburns.
“See? It’s just Luigi!” Oddy said.
“Wrong mansion, dude!” Volkner said, Luigi giving them a thumbs up as he left.
“………WHAT?!” Lucky said.
