Don't ask me why, but for some reason, I had the strongest urge to watch An American Tail. So I checked out YouTube and found it. It was good, though I don't know why the song "Somewhere Out There" won so many awards. I mean, it's a good song and all, but the horrid singing completely ruins it.

I love An American Tail. The singing didn't really bother me. But, this is coming from someone who loves the 3 voices of 3 singing woodland creatures named Alvin, Simon, and Theodore.

Oh My load another one of my favorite classic animated movies. Watched this all the time when I was little. Another true Don Bluth classic movie.

Yep. It is like one of those movies that encourages kids never to give up hope.
I loved the James Ingram and Linda Ronstadt version of "Somewhere Out There". The in-film version is full of Narm.

I feel that film was somewhat a cocktease most of the time.
Like pointed out in a review i saw once, the film always likes to taunt you, like they always 'Just' miss each other.
One of the characters who is searching for his son walks over a bridge. The son is walking under the bridge. There are even points when they're standing right next to one another and you're like "TURN YOUR HEAD 90 DEGREES!"
Still, a bit interesting. =p
