Today I was tidying my room and I found a mass of old VHSs. And guess what I've found!!! Yes, "101 Dalmatians"! I was quite shocked when I saw it. It's probably more than 10 years old. Unfortunately, it's not an original VHS. It was recorded from TV, or ripped from another VHS. When I found it, I immediately put it in VHS player. The condition was really poor, the characters pale and the movie is a little bit shivering. But it's not that what confused me. Some moments are just cut out of the videos.
For example:
The scene when Cruella comes to visit the Radcliffes (and Roger sings his song about her), then there comes her famous quote:
"My only true love, darlin'. I live for furs, I worship furs." I know that scene perfectly, as I've watched original DVD several times and it's one of my favorite Cruella's quotes. But on the VHS, it seems like she says:
"My only true love (...) live for furs, I worship furs".
One or two seconds are just cut out of the video. At first I thought "never mind, it's a defected old VHS".
But then it came the scene when the puppies arrive. Nanny runs in-out the room where Pongo and Roger are and she says "thirteen... fourteen... fifteen!!!". That's the scene we all know, I suppose. But then, she is supposed to bring a dead puppy wrapped in yellow towel. But instead of that, it looks like this:
Nanny comes out and shouts "thirteen... fourteen... fifteen", normally. But after she says "fifteen", the moment when she brings the dead puppy just doesn't show. After she says "fifteen", immediately appears Roger REVIVING the puppy. It doesn't even show the moment when he takes it from Nanny's hands.
The next scene has a cut out too. It doesn't show the moment when Cruella spills the black ink on Roger. There is no "Blast this pen, blast this wretched wretched pen". After her laugh "I know, I know. Roger's... Roger's songs! ahahahaha" it just shows her writing on the paper, and Roger has black spots on his face, but it doesn't how the moment when he got them.
And the scene when Jasper, Horace and Cruella are driving around and looking for the puppies is totally deformed. It's almost all cut out, just a few snatchy moments appear.
And there are more examples of this mistery, but I think I've mentioned enough.
As I said, at first I thought it's just a defected VHS. But it's not that, I'm quite sure. Because, in the cut-out moments, there are no signs of defection, shivering or fading picture, or something like that. Nothing. It just "jumps" from one moment to another one, skipping few seconds (or minutes in some scenes).
So what I would like to know is... if somebody here owns the VHS (even better if it's an original and not a pirate VHS), I would like him to check the above mentioned scenes and tells me if he can see those cut-outs. It would be even better if a person has BOTH VHS and DVD to check if there is any difference. But DVD isn't so necessary, the scenes that I'm asking about are available in Youtube:
This video contains the scene with Cruella ("I live for furs, I worship furs...") and the scene with Nanny bringing the dead puppy:

The video with Cruella spilling the ink on Roger's face:

And... the video with Cruella and the Badduns looking for the Dalmatians (the scene AFTER the puppies walking on the ice):

So if somebody is willing to help me, please play your 101D VHS and compare it with these videos. Is it the same? Or are the above mentioned moments cut out by you too?
Thank you in advance, very very much.
