Ok, I have been going around the board and have been here for quite a while, and it appears that when it comes to fan fictions, people are only interested if their character appears or don’t bother to leave a comment.
Why? Just because your character isn’t in it doesn’t mean it’s not going to be good.
I mean I have read Trey Vores first three stories, a few Belchic stories, some of Kits stories & some Tac stories and my characters don’t appear in some, does that prevent me from reading it or making a comment? No.
Do the stories still suck because my characters don't appear in them. No (Well maybe one of the authors i have listed above but that is for a few more reasons) and these guys are considered to be the best authors on the forum.
There are many unseen authors out there but You guys aren’t being bothered to look them up or comment on them.
I can name a few
There is “Slyvias Nightmare” & “Meanwhile, in the forest” by DragonologyStudent, they are good, you’re just not bothering to take a look.
There is also “The Old Ways” by Nemo, that is brilliant and she even asked for feedback, how many people replied? Only two.
Hesso wrote “Hesso Arrives” and I have even reviewed it giving it a good score and recommending it to everyone. Only three people commented.
Or now my “All The Same Places” story has only got two comments, and even then all those are of complaining that a certain character didn’t appear in it! Not even commenting whether they found it good, cool or anything, (Plus, I can tell you that one person once told me he wouldn’t read the story because none of his characters appeared in it)
Look, I am going to say this to the point, If you never give other authors a chance by reading their stories, you will never know if they are good or not.I mean, for my stories “Bark of War/Final Game” some people consider that to be one of the best stories on the forum but people only got interested as soon as I started to include their characters.
What I ask is, if you see a new story or rp, read it, I don’t care if your characters don’t appear in it, still read it.
Or if you have read it, leave a comment to that story or make an entry in that rp. If no one comments, the author will think people hated his stories and stop doing them. And we will be one less of a good unknown author.
So what I announce is a new rule for me: If you see a new story; READ it and then COMMENT on it.
