Yes, it is true. John Hughes. Director of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" "Planes, Trains & Automobiles", "Breakfast CLub" and "Uncle Buck" Along with being the producer of "Home Alone 1, 2 & 3", "Flubber", "The Great Outdoors" and (more to the members of this forum) the 1996 live action version of "101 Dalmatians" He...is...dead At the age of 59 just yesterday, one of the greatest know director/producer who lived is no more. While i am still unsure what he died of (i only just heard it on the news) he will be missed by film goers everywhere R.I.P John Hughes February 18, 1950 – August 6, 2009

WHAT?! Another death this summer? Dang!
Well, I remember very well some of the movies this man produced. I remember seeing the live action version of 101 Dalmatians, Flubber, and the first three movies of Home Alone.
May he rest in peace.

Oh man! Not another one! *sigh* Thank you for what you've done, John. You've made a lot of good family movies that my family loves, my favorites including Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Breakfast Club, Uncle Buck, the first two Home Alones, The Great Outdoors and of course, the 1996 live-action 101 Dalmatians. We'll miss you.
