Eddie Ravenscroft is a voice actor who has worked on several cartoon series', and he has also made some appearances on animated movies and commercials. He was born on January 18, 1965, and he is the grandson of the legendary Thurl Ravenscroft. Eddie is known for providing deep scratchy voices as opposed to Thurl and his deep booming voice.
His inspiration for deciding on having a voice acting career started in the late 70's. He saw CBS doing it's annual broadcast of "Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer", and he thought it might be really fun to do voices like that. His father, Hank, thought that might be a good idea since his grandfather was already in that business.
Eddie began his career in high school providing some background voices to films that some college students were working on. He also took drama classes and made a lot of his fellow students laugh with his comical voices. It wasn't long until he began his actual voice acting career.
His first TV acting role was on the 1983 animated TV series, "Alvin and the Chipmunks". Since he was so young, he was only given a bit part. For this series, he provided the voice of Uncle Harry, a character who only appeared in four episodes of the entire series.
Since the people in Hollywood liked his tallent, they decided to make him a star. In 1985, he provided the voice of Mr. Beastly in Nelvana's "Care Bears" series. He was also the narrator in "The Wuzzles".
In 1986, he became the voice actor for Egon Spengler in "The Real Ghostbusters", but he only voiced the character for the first four seasons.
In 1987, he provided some background voices in the TV series, "DuckTales", and he was also the voice of Donatello in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". However, in 1993, he discontinued working on "TMNT" mainly because he was losing interest in the series, and also because he was totally embarrassed by the movie, "Ninja Turtles III".
In 1989, he started doing the voice of Luigi in "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!"
In 1990, he did the voice of Plucky Duck on "Tiny Toon Adventures" as well as other background and guest character voices on the show.
In 1991, he started working on "Darkwing Duck" providing the voice of one of Darkwing's biggest nemesis', Megavolt.
In 1993, he did voice work on numerous shows. One character he voiced was Norman on "Mighty Max". Another one done by him was Hollywood on "2 Stupid Dogs". He also voiced numerous characters in the cartoon, "Animaniacs", but his most notable characters are Wakko Warner of the Warner kids and Pinky from the "Pinky and the Brain" segment; however, he didn't voice Pinky in any of the spin-off series'. He also voiced Dr. Robotnik in the "Sonic the Hedgehog" SatAM TV series.
In 1994, he began voicing numerous Robot Masters in the "Mega Man" cartoon, and he also did various voices in the Nickelodeon series, "Aaahh! Real Monsters".
He did a few voices in 1995 including Quint on "The Lion King's Timon & Pumbaa", the narrator of "Earthworm Jim", and sometimes, he did Zorak on "Cartoon Planet".
In 1996, he did numerous voices on "Dexter's Laboratory", but his most notable character is the Infragible Krunk from the "Justice Friends" segment. Also, in the Nickelodeon series, "Kablam!", he did the voice of Stinky Diver from the "Action League Now" segment.
In 1997, he started doing numerous background and guest voices on "South Park"; he discontinued in 2000 due to the fact that he was traumatized by the movie, but he came back a couple times in 2006 and a couple more times in 2009. He also did some voice work on "101 Dalmtians: The Series" providing the voice of Rolly as well as Swamp Rat. He also started voicing on the underrated "Chucklewood Critters" TV series; he took over as the voice of Abner due to the death of the original VA.
In 1998, he started working on "Pokemon" providing the voices of numerous Pokemon characters. He also voiced some guest human characters including Lt. Surge in the episode, "Electric Shock Showdown". He discontinued working on Pokemon in 2000 due to his loss of interest in the series. Also, that year, he did the voice of Cliff in the Nickelodeon series, "CatDog". He also voiced numerous characters on Cartoon Network's hit series, "The Powerpuff Girls", including Mojo Jojo and Fuzzy Lumpkins.

2002 was also a big year for Eddie. He voiced Oxnard and Jingle on "Hamtaro", Escargoon on "Kirby: Right Back At Ya!" and Numbuh One on "Codename: Kids Next Door".
In 2003, he did voices for Jumba, David, and several of Jumba's experiments on "Lilo & Stitch: The Series".
From 2004 on, he did some various voice work on series' such as "Brandy and Mr. Whiskers", "Robot Chicken", "Total Drama Island" and "Martha Speaks".
