For this topic, make your own entries to the "Chronologically Confused with Movie Sequels".
Now, I already talked about the 101 Dalmtians franchise, but here are some others I want to contribute talking about:

Let me take you back to 1988 and introduce you to a movie called "The Land Before Time". What a great movie. Too bad it's too short and that's all we're gonna get from it. But now, let's forward to 1994, and here's "The Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure". Okay, cool. We've got a sequel. Then comes "The Land Before Time III: The Time of the Great Giving". Okay, awesome. That's the last one, right? Nope. "The Land Before Time IV: Journey Through the Mists". Okay. I hope this series will end soon. "The Land Before Time V: The Mysterious Island". Uh, cool. Could we end it now? "The Land Before Time VI: The Secret of Saurus Rock". What the f*ck? At first, I thought all these sequels to one of my childhood movies were pretty cool, but why do there have to be so many of them? It's getting ridiculous. It doesn't end there, either. After that, there was "The Land Before Time VII: The Stone of Cold Fire". But then, after that, we get..."The Land Before Time: The Big Freeze", "The Land Before Time: Journey to Big Water", "The Land Before Time: The Great Longneck Migration", "The Land Before Time: Invasion of the Tinysauruses", "The Land Before Time: The Great Day of the Flyers" and "The Land Before Time: The Wisdom of Friends". Oh, God! Why in the Holy Mother of sh*t did they suddenly stop numbering the sequels??? Why was it ok to number the first seven, but not the rest of them? A lot of Internet sources have them numbered, but why aren't they numbered on the DVD cases? A regular consumer won't know what order these movies are in unless they number them. I guess they stopped numbering them because they were embarrassed about how many sequels they did. Not to mention, each one sucks harder and harder. I guess it is pretty impressive that they managed to make thirteen movies in this franchise, and that's gotta be a record for a number of sequels to an animated movie, but why so many? Eventually, they made it into a TV series, which is what they f**king should have done in the first place. Too bad it only lasted 26 episodes.
The Air Bud series is also quite confusing. There was "Air Bud", then "Air Bud: Golden Reciever", then "Air Bud: World Pup", then "Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch", and then finally, "Air Bud Spikes Back". Okay, I guess it's understandable that each one has a different subtitle, and he plays a different sport in each one, but it would be a little more convenient if they numbered them. That way, people who view the movies could follow the story and see where it's going. Well, then, out of nowhere, comes "Air Buddies", a movie that focuses on Buddy's five puppies, who each inherited one of his father's tallents. Then after that came "Snow Buddies", "Space Buddies", "Santa Buddies", and now another one called "Scary Buddies" is in the works. That's right. We have a movie that started a line of sequels, which later launched a spin-off that started another line of sequels! How much more do you think they'll try to do with this franchise?

I welcome anyone else to join in.
