Iron Man made one hell of first impression when Robert Downey Jr first brought the comic book industrialist to life in 2008. Now this year we get the sequel and the first trailer is already out... www.youtube.com/watch?v=siQgD9qOhRsAll I can say is WOW! Plus something they try not to show too much of in the trailer...this time we get Iron Man's equally powered ally War Machine. Anyone else looking forward to this one?

I really think this is getting cliche in the world of movies these days. It seems like these past 10 years, people have been making movies based on comic book superheroes or popular 80's shows (e.g., Spider-Man, X-Men, Inspector Gadget, Iron Man, Batman, Transformers, Alvin and the Chipmunks, etc.), and everybody hoots and hollers over them, and then they make sequels to them, and everyone hoots and hollers even more over them! Apparantley, this is all people want to see in movies now, and pretty soon, this is all their gonna be. Now, I have not heard any word on Star Trek, G.I. Joe or the upcoming Thundercats having any sequels, but I am willing to bet that they will all have sequels too!

And yet, the majority of them were good for me, save for G. I. Joe which I have not seen.
You know, they are also coming up with Captain America and Thor at least, as well as an Avengers movie.
But yeah, Iron Man 2 does look rather promising, especially with bringing in War Machine, I'll probabally watch it myself.

I saw a preview of it when going to see "Sherlock Holmes" at the cinema two sundays ago.
When he sky dives off a plane in uniform and lands at a party, talk about making an entrance. I also guess he isn't hiding his identity then.
Wasn't there a scene at the end of "Hulk" when he comes to the Hulk and offers him to join a team. Maybe the "Hulk" will make a cameo or a small reference in this film.
But since i don't go to much movies (unless it's a subject i am really interested in) i doubt i will be able to see it =/

Actually, he walked over to General Ross and told him they were putting together a team, an obvious reference to The Avengers.
Especially since Nick Fury came up to Tony Stark and told him about The Avengers more or less, with Nick Fury being played by Samuel L Jackson, more or less Ultimate Nick Fury whom the design was based upon.

This just came out, anyone else see it?
I went to a Friday morning show and my response was mixed. There is a lot of stuff that is really really cool but there are some serious wall bangers too (How do you plow into an unarmored guy three times with a Rolls-Royce and have the guy keep fighting? Let's be frank, you're pelvis would be DUST after a couple hits like that!). This is a heck of a nice way to start the summer blockbuster season.
