"The Rain" was an interesting, poem Shadow. You could perhaps pretty much summarize it as another "To be or not to be" speech or rather...a poem in which the narrator contemplates suicide, just wanting to give up entirely...but they can't physically bring themselves to do it.

^^ Thank you Lupus And out of those two, I'd choose the latter. But I really like the song that I listened to whilst writing a poem. Rhubarb is the perfect life-reflecting song to listen to.

It's been a while since I last posted a poem here, but I thought it felt appropriate. For those who don't know, fellow Sparky member, Duality, is no longer with us. I am still in shock and in denial of the whole ordeal. His memory will live on forever, and he wouldn't want us to stop doing what we're doing just because of what happened. No, he would want us to keep living our own lives.
I'll miss you, Duality.
Right now, the poem is Unnamed. Feel free to list some possible titles.
I feel scatterbrained without you by my side The days go on, wishing you would return To go back to those days we had before You were my friend, my very own guide But there’s no time machine to yesterday How I wish I could see you again Before my life changed forever All without delay
Even though I’m feeling down And on the verge of a breakdown. . .
Time goes on. . . Without you. . . I must be strong. . . But I feel I’m breaking up in two. . . Nevertheless. . . We tread on this obstacle. . . In this twisting abyss called life It may be hard to come out but everything is possible
Rest assured you won’t be forgotten Your memory will only grow stronger As the days pass by, when day turns to night My interests will broaden, return from the fallen My friends and I will keep you in our hearts I know that you want that from us Your journey only came to an end So welcome home, enjoy Heaven’s fine arts
You may be gone from this Earth. . . But your spirit’s filled with celestial mirth. . .
Don’t worry about us, we’ll be fine You were a good friend to us Honestly, your divine personality shines Over us, so we don’t feel superfluous
