This was inspired by Dana's "Why they got canceled" thread. In this topic, list some TV shows that are not out on DVD and give reasons as to why they're not out.
Batman (1966) Reason: Legal issues.
Doug Reason: Disney and Nickelodeon are arguing over who keeps the rights to the show.
Muppet Babies Reason: Every episode contained clips from a lot of movies, TV shows and real life home movies. If they were been shown right now, there would be lawsuits up the ass.
Alvin and the Chipmunks Reason: I think due to copywright restrictions with the songs that are used in the episodes.
Family Matters Reason: Supposedly, their awaiting an approval from Jaleel White.
101 Dalmatians Reason: Disney stated that they were discontinuing releasing their 80's and 90's TV series' on DVD simply because they figured they wouldn't make a lot of money off of them.
Sheep in the Big City Reason: Just not a very popular show.
Those may not be right, but they're my estimated guesses.

Actually Doug DVDs are being made by Amazon (they're in an agreement with Nickelodeon). ONLY Nick Doug, which is perfectly fine. More than fine to be exact.

KaBlam! Reason: Actually, there's two reasons. The first is that despite having Henry and June being Nick's "mascots" (they hosted pretty much EVERYTHING until you-know-who showed up), KaBlam! wasn't that popular. The second is due to one short, Angela Anaconda (which became a TV show on Fox Family (now ABC Family), still being owned by Fox, which would cause legal issues.
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends (seasons 3-6) Reason: After the first two seasons were released, Cartoon Network wanted to focus more on Chowder, Total Drama Island, and Johnny Test.

Interesting topic. Here's some I found:
All That Reason: Likely due to the musical acts at the end of each episode.
Slayer's going to HATE me for this next one...
You Can't Do That on Television Reason: The show runs on Nickelodeon, but the Canadian TV company that produced the show can't do much with it for two reasons:
1. Nickelodeon owns the rights to run the show in the USA. 2. The Canadian company that produced it has gone under a long time ago.

I thought Kablam! was out on DVD. Me too, but then Nick went under different changes during 2009 and uh...that was it.

Here's some more:
Fox's Peter Pan and the Pirates Reason: Although it's a very faithful adaptation of James M. Barrie's story, a DVD release isn't likely probably because it's not seen as profitable (well, it has tough competition from the 1953 Disney animated film and Steven Spielberg's 1991 movie Hook). There might be a series boxset coming, but chances are it will probably be available in 2020 and only be sold in the United Kingdom.
Challenge of the Gobots Reason: Compared to Transformers there's no contest. Transformers became a still popular after 20+ years multi-million dollar franchise while Gobots is completely obscure and laughable.
The Brothers Grunt Reason: Well, MTV probably won't let this show see the light of day on DVD mainly because back in 1994, this show used to try running side by side with Beavis and Butt-head (which was on hiatus at the time and REALLY pissed off the B&B-H fans) so it probably won't be seen as profitable.
Earthworm Jim Reason: 8 random 1st season episodes saw a release on VHS, but this series was not made due to creative choice; rather it was made through a corporate dictation. Word of God is it will never be released on DVD due to the game creators considering it to be Old Shame they only did to help promote the games.

Pokemon (uncut season sets to be sold to English-speaking countries, Japanese audio w/ English subtitles) Reason: The Pokemon Company might be afraid of ruining Pokemon's "family friendly" status (due to a certain episode...)

Moral Orel Reason: There is a Season One volume of this Adult Swim series available, but they decided not to release Seasons 2 and 3 reportedly because the first season didn't sell that great.

It's a shame =( So many good series never make their debut in DVD format, I really wish great series like 101 Dalmatians the series and Alvin and the Chipmunks could get in DVD.
Well, at least we can donwload the episodes and make our own custom DVDs of them xD

Don't give up hope, dude. Maybe if they air 101 Dalmatians on the upcoming Disney Junior network, maybe the show will get high enough ratings and convince them to give the series its own DVD release. You never know.

Here's something interesting I found out thanks to James Rolfe:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, both the original series and the new series, had a lot of DVD releases. However, not all the episodes were released on DVD. Some seasons and some random episodes never made DVD releases, and the reason why they were left out is still a mystery. It's also a mystery why they discontinued.
I also found out through James that the first season of Family Matters has been released on DVD this year.

Don't hate me Slayer...
Beavis and Butt-head (1993)
Reason: Technically it is on DVD, but not in its entirety. The reason for this is because of two reasons:
1: The copyright issues that surrounds the music video commentaries (housing a lot of the series' funniest moments) meant they had to be excluded from commerical DVD sets.
2: Mike Judge has divided the series into three tiers: the Tier 1 are episodes he considers to be excellent and he's really proud of; the Tier 2 is episodes he thinks is okay and the Tier 3 is episodes that he considers Old Shame. The 3 "Mike Judge Collection" sets hold only the first two tiers and completely omit the Tier 3 episodes.
King of the Hill
Reason: Again, this is another show that technically is on DVD, but not in its entirety. The reason for this is, well, while Seasons 1 through 6 are commerically available (holding all the 1997-2003 episodes), Fox decided to stop before releasing Seasons 7 through 13 because they weren't satisfied with the series' DVD sales figures.
