Okay then...
When you think about it, I imagine even Disney thinks Spot isn't going to sell by herself. Look at the merchandise available. If you look on the VHS box for 101 Dalmatians Christmas, Spot is nowhere on the box. If you started collecting the McDonald's flipcars, look at who's paired with who. Why is Spot sharing a flipcar with Cadpig? If you wanted the series' Main Pups to all be together, wouldn't that mean you'd have to doubledip? I mean buying the Lucky/Cruella one would be worth it, but buying another Cadpig for Spot? Spot shares a flipcar with Cadpig probably for the same reason Lt. Pug shares one with Two-Tone. Disney probably figured that the only way Spot and Lt. Pug would ever sell is if they are paired with a character that everyone cares about. On my RetroJunk article, Lucky Dearly made the claim that it would have been awesome if the Disney Store made plushies of the characters from the show. But while I imagine Lucky, Patch, Two-Tone, Cadpig and Rolly would sell with no problem, he says that means Spot probably would have plush toys too, and they probably couldn't GIVE those away.
And on this forum, considering the fact whenever people draw pics and write stories and the like, everyone appears to place more emphasis on OCs instead of trying to make material that is 100% true to the series' world...
...well, the fact Spot seems to get so little attention appears to be...kinda justifiable, actually.
