I saw this movie today. It's great. The animation on the dogs talking is really well-done; it's realistic enough not to look fake, but not too realistic to look creepy. I also loved all the characters, and the movie teaches some really good morales. If you love dog movies and have a love for talking animals, then this is definately a movie for you. Go out and see it while it's still in theaters. Don't wait for the DVD. It's worth it.

I've seen the trailer for it, but I'm afraid I must pass up on this one....I don't have the money to go to the movies at all....especially since there are many movies that are out now that I wish to watch.
So, 'fraid I must wait for the DVD....that's what I had to do with Sherlock Holmes sadly enough.

Thank you sometimes I feel like I'm the only person in the world that liked this movie and thought it was good. Rotten Tomatoes hated it, it seems to be more of a "Fail" in everyone else's mind. But I really liked it. I especially liked that one dog Mazie. The inspiration that I had creating my OC Mazie of course.

I want to see this one really badly; it was under "Toy Story 3" on my list. My little sister saw it with some of her friends for her 11th birthday, and they all loved it. Now I would like to go see it badly. Unfortunately, the theatre on the island where my summer home is isn't playing "Marmaduke", and we're going there today, so I might have to wait for the DVD (or see it on the mainland at the very least).

The trailer when I saw looked interesting but it's not playing here anymore so I gotta wait for the DVD so I can rent it.
Though a question (to anyone) was Marmaduke a book before this movie? Because I SWEAR I've heard the name somewhere else before this movie came to be...

I don't get it. It's always movies like this that the whole world says is a FAIL. What, did God create us specifically not to be allowed to like talking animals?

Though a question (to anyone) was Marmaduke a book before this movie? Because I SWEAR I've heard the name somewhere else before this movie came to be... From what I've read in Wikipedia, the movie is based on a comic strip of the same name, which has been in newspapers since the 1950s. The Marmaduke comics were created by Brad Anderson, and they're still being made by him to this day.

Think along the lines of that. Over The Hedge never had an actual book but it's a regular Sunday comic. Just like Marmaduke is. comics.com/marmaduke/2010-06-25/comics.com/over_the_hedge/

Yep. Marmaduke is a movie about one of the Sunday funnies. Just like Garfield.
Tell the truth, I just didn't know about this movie. Maybe I'll see it eventually. Recommendations?
