101 Dalmatians: The Series wasn’t the first series to make use of clip shows and it unfortunately wasn’t the last, but most fans can agree that Horace & Jasper’s Big Career Move and Humanitarian Of The Year were easily the least entertaining episodes in the entire series. I appreciated the fact that they at least tried to have some new content in them, but considering the loose continuity of the series and the fact that episodes were airing so often in syndication, did they really need them? I believe most of us would answer “no”, but if the writers were hypothetically forced to include the two clip shows, what do you believe could have been done to make them better?

I actually found the storyline of Horace and Jasper's big career move kind of funny. Lame episode but the subplot of them being "over qualified" for placement by everyone at the job agency was humorous. Of course that episode is basically "Discontinuity" anyway so take that as you will.

Well, With, Clip Shows, I will say that if you want to make one work, You need to have a good story behind it and good reason to be showing the clips.
With, "Humaniterian Of The Year", I actually liked the story behind it, The opening with the, Pups in the, Park and, Horace & Jasper trying to hide the, Evidence was quite amusing also, I like how, They are able to keep consistant with their settings. You see in other shows there are some buildings which keep changing location cause the plot says so. (Like in, Simpsons, with, Moes Bar, one moment, it's in the industrial estate, the next it's just a couple of houses from the, Simpsons one and in the, Film it's right next to the church). However when I watch episodes of "101 Dalmatians The Series" and see, Gruteley, I must say that each building is in it's proper place. So I will say that it's good to have them consistant.
I also notice in "Humanitarian Of The Year" that when it shows "Home Is Where The Bark Is", when, Cruella shows her cheque, it's written different than how it was in the actual episode, in fact I'm able to read the, cheque alot more easier within "Humanitarian Of The Year", so there's a plus side on that point. X3
Still, "Humanitarian Of The Year" is a clip show of good potential, however the clips were of, Cruella planning and don't actually show us how she was defeated, ususally just the pups saying "Wow! I'm glad we were able to defeat her there!" Like said, you need a good premise to show these clips and have it shown right. They can work at points, just need the good methods of doing so.

What about the episode “The Making Of…”?
That had a couple of clips from other Episodes of “101 Dalmatians The Series”. Would that still count as a Clip Show?
Or does it not count because showing Clips from previous episodes were not the prime focus of the Episode. Instead having a very amusing mockumentary (A Fake Documentary). X3
What do you think, Pups?
