From reading a suggestion of Nemo's in her venting thread, I am going to enforce something into this RP that I am part of.
We are to now have a posting order, but as for what sort of posting order, I am unsure at the moment, if anyone has a good posting order to use, please speak up as I do have to agree that posts do get a bit out of hand in there and what have you.

I do have another idea. That we just lock the 2nd Gen rp and start a new one (which I thought of last night).
Or basically in short, start over.

If others agree on doing something like that, then I'll go ahead and do it. But I do not want to go ahead and lock it up and start again if others still wish to be in that one there.
So, we'll put it to a vote.....lock it up and start again? Or enforce the rules now and keep on going with it as it is?

Well if we do that, the same problem would rise up eventually.

Well if we do that, the same problem would rise up eventually. What problem, Shadow? :/ But we don't have to lock it up. But at LEAST make a post order. I've seen this on multiple forums I have been on, and 0 problems have occurred.

Well should it be like Kit, you Nemo, Me, Paws, Drake, and Bab?

Exactly, that's why I gave two options, not one, two.....

Well I like Shadow's order but let's see what the others think.

Yeah, We've already done alot in it, So Far. o.o I don't want to start it all over or Lock it.
So, Shadow's option should work best. *Hugs* X3

Well, I think it's nothing wrong about having two or more threads considering 2ND generation based characters. Especially if we aim to specialize a story towards certain themes
However I also see some flaws with this suggestion..
First of all is the posting order. It might seem like a good idea now, but I think we are going to regret it. Bab and I live in Europe. Shadow, Nemo, Two-Tone and Paws live in the states while Drake lives in New Zealand. In other words; We are not awake at the same time. If we where to have a specific order this means waiting. "Waiting? bah, no one has died from learning a little patience" you might think. But that is if we are all prepared to post within our own time. And not everyone has that possibility. Bab is engaged in lot's of work considering plays and college, and I am working a week end shift meaning I'll be away for three days.
I think that system can be vulnerable. I also see no point in locking it... we could just lull the topic into sleeping inactivity - That will happen naturally, so let's just let nature do it's course.
Group rps main weakness is that there will be a lot of posting going on simultaneously. I think we just have to roll with it. If you're lost it's also an easy trick to just introduce your character to a situation. For example "Anya walked up to the crowd". To be honest, our plots aren't THAT deep and intricate, so it's not really doomsday if you miss a small detail. I also don't see the reason to arrest posters over minor details that's irrelevant to the action going: "Uhh, Anya is standing next to Molly, not behind her, Jeez!"
Quite frankly, it's also not that hard to skim through one or two pages of posts to catch up. It's like Nemo usually likes to say: "It's not that hard to click a link? Are you scared of a link?"

Good analysis Kit, but I'm still for the posting order. Mainly because things will be more organized, and things will go much smoother.. regardless of waiting. People need to learn patience, it's a necessary life skill.
And yeah skimming a page is no problem.. but when you're talking.. 10 PAGES, that's.. ridiculous, simply put.
I even wanted to set up a 2nd gen rp, where either they go to a movie or on a camping trip together (forgot to explain that in earlier posts ^^; )
And lol, nice use of my quote XD

A post order would work in theory...but if one user forgot to post then no one else could. Reintroducing the character to a scene would be quite awkward, but it's probably your best bet. Other than that, the only thing I can think of would be allow someone else to control your characters to keep up with continuity, that way it would be easy to pick up from where you were left off.

I was afraid you'd be angry, cause I noticed I kind of used it against your point. It's just what I think, and I'm not the emperor of board rps.
10 pages is a different deal, I agree, but was it ever that bad?
Either way, I still support your suggestion in branching the second gen rps in different stories, now that it has gotten so popular. My second gen characters are my favourite to play at the moment, and it seems like a lot of you share that feeling ^^
