Let's see here then, for part one of my characters: Drake was in fact my very first OC I had, and in the begining, was still sort of tweaking around with his personality. I had made in I think in 2004 or so, when I had first seen the series, and had used him on the older message boards. Kept on developing him and voila, this is what he is today more or less. Scruff, well, okay, I do admit, he is sort of based off Spot's personality, but not noo much, as in, he aint trying to be a dog or anything like that, but does panic a bit sort of thing. And even, Boris, on the movie Balto, was part of the inspiration too, well, the whole bird ordeal that is. Rico is, well....I guess you could say, based off the movie Rattoulie, in a sense of speaking, not a French cooking rat or anything like that, just the whole rat thing in general. Luna, I have no idea on what she was from, I sorta, just came up with her and started to develop her more or less, so really, not much about her. Kasey is actually, cause of the type of dog she is, a Cavilier King Charles Spaniel, which is the kind of dog I want, but since I'm not allowed a dog, cause of the whole landlord issue, I created one instead, which is better than nothing for me. Slade, for the love of wolves, and that wolves need to be made more or less. I mean, that, and also, the evil, wolf/dog dude on Balto, I forget his name, was also part of the inspiration of him too. Well, that's part one of my characters, stay tuned for the next part to them

I wonder what made you come up with the gay couple idea.

Sparky- Basicially me if I were a dalmatian pup, has pretty much most of my qualities, like likes to work on cars, and loves the outdoors and NASCAR.

Okay, next batch right here: Amelia: Kingdom Hearts was the inspiration for her, the Heartless, mainly Xehonart's Heartless, and considering that the whole Heartless are part of Disney, in a manner of speaking, there was more or less a reason to have her a character. Valria: Well, in a sense, it was to do with Starfire, just her attitude, so to speak, a bit of that thrown in and what have you. T-5.0: Need I explain her? A Terminator from the future sent back in time to protect Drake and save mankind

Here's for Indiana
Indiana: The idea for him had really been going back since October of last year when I went to Disneyland CA. It was there in which I thought what if the Dalmatians did re-enactments of the rides, and that is where the bulb started to shine a dim light for Indiana. A few months later, I found out that a new movie was coming out so I thought that now was the best time to fully develop him and post him up.

Here are my inspirations behind my other O.C.'s: Circuit: Like Noggin, my brother made him up. Shadow-Speed: Same as Circuit. Sawblade: Same as Circuit. Joey: Joey is basically based off of me. I happen to be an autistic person, and Joey's personality is basically what my personality is like. But the main reason I made him was so that this next O.C. of mine could have a boyfriend. Lizzie: Lizzie is based off of my real dog. She's the same breed, has the same name, and has pretty much the same personality. If she were to talk, she'd probably be like Dori from "Finding Nemo" without the short-term memory, and that's why I had Ellen Degenres do her voice. Crash-Helmet: I made up Crash-Helmet about the same time I made up Belchic. I later decided to ditch him, but now, I've decided to bring him back. Fang: For some reason, I started getting this thing with wolves. I wanted to make a ferocious wolf character who would be totally evil. I knew somebody else made a wolf character, but I wanted to make one of my own. Christie: I guess I made Christie so that I could make a non-Dalmatian O.C. that was original. I mean, people have made foxes, raccoons, cats, lizzards, mice, ravens, monkeys, sealions, turtles, wolves, but I don't think anyone has ever made a deer yet, so I made this one. I also wanted her to be an outside friend of the pups.

Bo is based on 70s nostalgia. What's not to love about an era of Disco and muscle cars.
Foster is based on the perceived need for an Aussie character, we had pups representing all the corners of the world from Brazil to Russia but we missed Australia. I researched a little bit into Australian culture and tried to create a character who would be Australian but not a stereotype and came up with Foster. One of the few things about him that is stereotypical is his name, which is a very popular Australian beer. This is an inside joke to how I've heard that you should NEVER "try to outdrink an Australian."
Epsilon is based in part on a number of villians from the BBC sci-fi program Doctor Who (mostly from the old show)... His black color scheme and a sense that he may be almost too much for The Doctor-inspired Doc is based off The Master while his name is a pun on another villain called Omega. Trying to turn everyone into what he is taken in part from the Cybermen and in part from Star Trek's Borg. His mind control power is a reference to The Nucleus, the one-off villian from the Doctor Who-serial "The Invisible Enemy" The way he fronts his evil schemes behind enviromentalism is a reference to the Bond villain Dominic Greene from the new "Quantum of Solace" movie.

Martin I think I made up when I was thinking about the human characters in the series and the major lack of men. I decided to make a friend for Roger to be a part of the movie and the series.
Sloppy, Corey and Burtnik I was inspired to make when babclayman made Clayton and Kendra's pups.
Torch and Flare were inspired by Pyro and Ember mainly.
Cantor is based off of my hobby of singing. That and I felt that there was a lack of singing in the series.
Flint...well...When Flo created a Dalmatian of herself, I thought she looked so cute, I wanted to make a boyfriend for her. I thought for a while on what name I should give him, and finally, I decided on the name, Flint.

Kit: In the beginning, the "Kit" character was just meant to be a little different. I wanted to make an outsider. A kind of " more than meets the eye" type of character. I guess he was much influenced by some current social scenes, some books I read and like much of my other work; music. Even though his background back then wasn't nearly as colorful as it is today, he was always meant to be a " tragic character." The Romani pups: When I created Kit's siblings I felt that it would be natural for him to have a strong sense of roots. Thus his identity as a " gypsy/traveler" became more apparent. I had just read Jack Kerouac's "On the road," which had me sucked in for a while. But I was always clear that they would develop independent personalities. Hat became a pensive, free-spirited visionary. Lid became a leader-type of her own. Straw's character will be revealed more about soon Mia: The mysterious husky girl in Kit's past, which I later introduced into Hat's story. As of yet, her personality can resemble a kind of " Lisa Simpson"-ish role to her companions, Hat and Lon. Lon: An attempt to create a character more like the "real me," still that would be way off. Lon his my most light hearted character, a character who only cares if he wants to. I wanted his companionship to Hat and Mia to resemble something of a bohemian collective. Finally a character who is not so serious! =P Monk: Another intellectual, low-toned, serious character. More boho-pups. Named after Thelonious Nikos: Thus far simply known as "The Cretan pup." His personality will be revealed along with Straw's. As of yet I have thought of him as a pretty average boy with the Greek charm. I am curious to see how a " normal" pup would respond, should he be introduced to the lifestyle I have designed for the Romanis. Anya: I managed to make another light hearted character who does not seem to have the need to find "him/herself." I was curious to see how a child would turn out should it be raised by the Romanis. It turned out quite interesting, I think. I'm very happy with how the character got fleshed out, and you can read more about it later. Inspired by the moods in the music of Norwegian singer Anja Garbarek (I'm a big fan of her father!) Her name is the Russian/Balkan version of the name "Anna" and means "Graceful" or "Bringer of good." In sanskrit the word means "Inexhaustible." Zare: A character I have never used, and really have little room for at the moment. He was inspired by spokespeople and personal heroes of mine namely; George Carlin, Bill Hicks, Terrance McKenna, Henry Rollins etc. Hopefully he will be used SOMEday...
