I have a feeling I am going to love this film!

Please. Just stop. Neither of the two previous Transformers movies were good. I was suckered into thinking they were awesome, but they were not. So quit trying to shove this movie into my face.

Then take off eh. Nobody made you come in and post here or watch that. This is one of the biggest movie releases of the year and quite a few of us here enjoyed the previous ones and are excited fort this one.
The whole world doesn't share your taste in movies Belchic and just because you've predecided to hate a film because its not 100 percent like the old cartoon doesn't mean we have and are going to quit talking about it.

FIGHTING ROBOT ACTION YAY! And since it's during the summer, I'll probably be able to see this one w/o worrying about school plans

I am with RaceFan on this Belchic.
I really think this film is going to be great. Shia LaBoeuf himself even stated that he felt Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen wasn't all that good and they are trying to make this movie more like the first film. I believe your thoughts were that you loved Toy Story, felt Toy Story 2 was overrated and thought Toy Story 3 was going to be a pile of garbage until you sat down to actually watch it.
There needs to be a deeper logic behind why the movie was not worth seeing other than "they don't look like how they originally did in the old cartoon". If you complain about there being too much of the humans, just remember the human actors really do exist.
I actually spoke to Mark Ryan (the voice of Bumblebee and Jetfire) and he told me:
"You could constantly focus on the characters but then the movie easily would have cost $500,000,000."
On a side note, this will be the final film in this direct continuity.

Trey, there's a lot of reasons why I thought the Transformers movies were terrible:
- The humans get a lot more focus than the Transformers do. Isn't there a point why the movies are called "Transformers"? - It doesn't pay enough homage to the original cartoon. - The jokes are not funny. - The stories are not explained good enough. - A lot of the characters don't get enough exploration (such as the Ghettobots). - The movies are way too long, which makes them boring. - There are way too many sub-plots being juggled around. - The films were clearly putting special effects before story! The only reason people love it so much is because of the action and the special effects, when it's really the story that needs potential focus.
There. Now, does that help you, Trey?

Well, you...sorta inspired me Belchic. Check this out.
Belchic once told me an interesting analogy that he made. His analogy is:
How the Care Bears movies are like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies
The Care Bears Movie (1985) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)
The original movie in both series is not a classic, but it is a movie you ought to consider seeing at least once and it leaves you feeling good.
The Care Bears Movie 2: A New Generation (1986) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze (1991)
The sequel is seen as more silly, goofy, cartoonish and obviously not art. The movie basically does so many things wrong it actually is still worth watching. It’s a guilty pleasure; it’s so bad it’s good.
The Care Bears Adventure in Wonderland (1987) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 (1993)
At this point the movie series was getting a little disgusting. The setting is changed, it has no intelligence and it is not funny. This installment is so bad it’s embarrassing.
Now for my analogy:
How the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies are like the Transformers movies
Transformers: the Movie (1986) and The Chipmunk Adventure (1987)
This is the franchise’s first movie in its history. Both movies were released within a year’s time of each other. Both were considered financial bombs in their original runs; over time the movie became the most commercially viable part of the series (VHS only had random episodes and full series’ seasons were not in mind until the DVD boom) and developed a serious cult; to this day they are seen as one of the franchises’ biggest highlights.
Transformers (2007) and Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007)
The first movie in the new franchise was released in 2007. Transformers was released before the Fourth of July, Alvin and the Chipmunks was released before Christmas. Both movies got mixed reviews from professional film critics and fans alike but what they did better was their box-office intake—both movies made over $300 million.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) and Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Squeakquel (2009)
The second movie was released in 2009. Again, Transformers: ROTF was released before the Fourth of July and AATC: Squeakquel was released before Christmas. These movies got harsher reviews than the first film did but the critics’ drubbing didn’t influence the final box-office gross—these movies both respectively made over $400 million.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) and Alvin and the Chipmunks 3D (2011)
The third movie will be released later this year. Once again Transformers: DotM will be released before the Fourth of July and AATC: 3D will be released before Christmas. I wonder how the third movie will do…?
I welcome your thoughts.

I'd go more with Indiana Jones. The first one kicked ass, the second sucked (although it has some classic scenes) and the third one is back to basics.

And don't forget, Trey. Transformers: RotF and AatC: The Squeakquel both introduced some new characters who fans would recognize from the original 80's cartoon. Also, fans who saw these films had mixed reactions: some thought they were better than their predecessors, and some thought they were worse.
I'm not sure what to say about the next Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. Maybe that one will introduce some characters from the 80's cartoon as well, like Miss Miller, and maybe Uncle Harry will be the main antagonist.
But I'm going off topic. This is supposed to be about Transformers, isn't it? Sorry.

Yep. Also, here's another way:
In ROTF, Optimus Prime is out of commission for most of the movie.
In the Squeakquel, David Seville is out of commission for most of the movie.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxVt75aGko8The new and probably final trailer is out. We get our first good look at that one-eyed monster Shockwave. Got to say this one is starting to make me nervous, the trailer really paints the Autobots as going rogue or not willing to fight (then superimposes it with lots of robo-ass kicking). I also read up on the film's "NASCAR Autobots" the Wreckers and supposedly all three are of very little intelligence and I'm very much not a fan of the way NASCAR and everything about it gets painted as being for Rednecks. At least we get Mirage this time (he's the Ferrari 458) and possibly Wheeljack too (the Mercedes). Plus Megatron's got a new semi-truck alt mode and I'm hearing rumors of AstroTrain joining the fight at last.

We also get to see Sam's girlfriend as well.
I was a bit disappointed to hear that Corey Burton will not coming back to voice Shockwave. On the other hand, one of the "Wreckers" is being voiced by Bill f*ggerbakke (Bulkhead in Animated).
It also seems that Skids and Mudflap are not coming back.

Here's one question I have: Why did they decide to number this movie if they didn't number the second one?

The official movie toys have hit the shelves!
To show my support I just bought two of the Wreckers: Topspin and Roadbuster. Now I just need Leadfoot.

since Laserbeak was confirmed for the movie you know Soundwave has to be in it
Laserbeak is never seen without Soundwave (cept Transformers Armada since Soundwave wasn't in that series but Laserbeak was)
