In my opinion, one of the least best episodes.
One thing that makes this episode so bad is that it badly rips off "The Lion King". It truly does. I mean, think about it: The Colonel tells the main pups not to ever go into the swamp, and Lucky disobeys him and does it anyway bringing his friends along with him! This is exactly the case for the Elephant Graveyard scene from "The Lion King". Simba disobeys his father and goes to the Elephant Graveyard bringing Nala with him.
Now, I can hear bab's voice right now: "Well, be fair. They had a good reason for going into the swamp. To get Colonel's scarf back." Well, that doesn't matter. Lucky still was planning to go into the swamp regardless of him losing the scarf or not!
So, there you see. Ripping off "The Lion King". As a matter of fact, "Citizen Kanine" rips off "The Lion King" as well, you know, with Lucky wanting to be the mayor? Same deal goes for Simba singing about how he just can't wait to be king!
Wonder what other observations you pups might find.

Thiis one of my, Favorite Episode's in, "101 Dalmatians The Series". =3
Also, I can tell you ways it differs from, LK. True, Lucky ignored the, Colonel's Warning, But not once In the Episode, Did we see, Lucky lying to, Perdita's Face, Singing Songs on how Much better he is than everyone else and, Lucky got Proper Comuppence for his Ignoring the Warning. ;3
Besides, There's more to that Episode than, "Let's head there...against an Elders Order.", it was also them exploring reasons to get the, Colonel's Scarf back. ;3
I will say, I liked how the, Colonel's Photograph's seemed, Reminisant of some Famous War Images, and I do wonder what the "Great Gruteley, Kibble Kaper" or the "Flea Bath Uprising" was like. X3 It is also a Good Introduction to the, Swamp Characters, Like, Swamp Rat or Steven, and The Animation in this Episode, Is pretty dang good. =3
Still, It is one of the Best Episodes, and I like it. ;3
What do you, Pups think on this Episode? *Hugs* X3

It doesn't matter if he was lying to the Colonel or Pongo or Perdita. He still disobeyed one of his elders. It doesn't have to be a parent so long as the person you're communicating with is older than you. And I think I made myself perfectly clear that I know that they went into the swamp to get the scarf back, but before Lucky lost the scarf, he was planning to go into the swamp anyway, and he was even trying to talk Rolly, Cadpig and Spot into coming in with him. I still find it to be very similar to the Lion King in that matter.

Well, How do you know, LK was the first ones to do it? I believe, Tons of Shows before hand have made Plots similar to that "Parents tell you, don't head there, does anyway, Stuff happens". It isn't really, Copyrighted to LK nor were they the first to do it. =/
Besides, At least, Cadpig, Rolly & Spot were actually concerned and actually saying, "Lucky, The Colonel told us not to paw into the Swamps...". And be fair, They did try backing from the, Swamps, It wasn't til the, Scarf got cuaught, That they had no choice but to check in the, Swamps. ;3
Nal was like "Okay! I'll jump right in too!"
Trust me, It is not, Ripping Off, There are Tons of other alterings and items that makes, "101 Dalmatians The Series" demonstrate more. ;3
And I believe they'll be ton more shows, which have a similar story Basis. But, it isn't, Ripping LK off, Since they didn't call that type of story. =3
Anyway, Looking forward To hearing what you, Pups think of the, Episode. *Hugs* X3

Everything is similar to what has come before. Well, not everything, but most of it.

To me this episode is just "okay". It's one of my "in the middle" episodes.

Err...Belchic...
Citizen Kanine is a homage to Citizen kane, is not a rip-off from Lion King and a Swamp Thing is not a rip-off from TLK, is just using the same moral lesson from the Red Hood story, it's a pretty common thing.
