Guys! I just came up with this badass idea for a 101D video game! Seriously, it's the best idea since underwear!
101 Dalmatians: Cute Bruisers
What is this game? Well, it's a genre of gaming that I don't think any of us have tried yet...It's a beat-em-up game! For starters, let me go through this:
The Story:
The Dearly's have once again neglected to sell their farm to Cruella. Cruella has been patient with Anita up to this point, but now, she has flipped out and is out to get revenge. She has sent out an army of evil characters to go into war not only on Dearly Farm but all of Grutely. The pups of Dearly Farm have to one by one take them all out and eventually get to Cruella and finish her off once and for all.
Platforms:
I was thinking that since this was a beat-em-up game, it will first be released as an arcade machine. It will later be ported to the Wii, the XBox 360, and the PS3.
The Gameplay:
Like any other beat-em-up game, you go through a series of levels and beat up every character on the screen in order to move on. You can play up to four players. Each player starts with five lives, and once you lose them all, it's Game Over. On the arcade version, you can continue to play as long as you keep putting quarters in, but you have a limited number of continues in the console ports.
On the console versions, there are two different modes: Story Mode and Free-for-All Mode. Story Mode is basically the main game (and the only one you can play on the arcade version). You will go through a total of six levels (which I will list later on). Free-for-All Mode is a special mode that's basically an endless loop of battling bad guys until everyone runs out of lives.
The Levels:
There are six levels in the game.
Level 1 is Dearly Farm, and the end boss is Ivy.
Level 2 is Grazer's Green, and the end bosses are Bob and Bill.
Level 3 is Hiccup Hole, and the end bosses are the Swamp Gang.
Level 4 is Topstown Plaza, and the end boss is Lambo.
Level 5 is Two Flags Over Grutely, and the end bosses are Horace and Jasper.
Level 6 is Villa De Vil, and the end boss is Cruella De Vil herself.
Playable Characters/Other Twists:
Like any other beat-em-up game, you can have up to four players playing at a time. In the arcade version, the only characters you have the option of playing as are Lucky, Rolly, Cadpig and Spot. This will be the same on the console versions when you first buy the games, but there will be other unlockable characters, which I will explain how you get later on.
Unlike most beat-em-up games where the characters are all basically the same, in this game, the characters have different abilities, which adds a little strategy in the game. For each set of characters, there is the following:
1. The All-Rounder is basically the one who is average at everything. Usually, it's the leader of the group.
2. The Brute is the one with the most powerful smashes, and is usually very slow.
3. The Magician is the one who is the best at performing magic attacks.
4. The Speedster is the one who moves the fastest, and is usually not very strong.
For instance, the standard quartet is:
Lucky - The All-Rounder
Rolly - The Brute
Cadpig - The Magician
Spot - The Speedster
Now, here are some other tricky things you can do in the game. I got this idea from the Simpsons arcade game. You can team up with one member and do one of three different team special moves. They can be performed if both players are standing close to each other and they hit the D-pad in a certain direction, plus a certain button (it's different depending on which version you play):
1. If one person presses down and the other presses either left or right, the pups will both grab each other's paws and roll around in a circular motion. This is a move that can knock a few enemies unconcious for a few seconds.
2. If one person presses left and the other presses right, the pups will link arms and charge. This is basically the same as the move listed above, but it's not quite as strong, so it won't work on some enemies, and the unconciousness doesn't last as long.
3. If one person presses down and the other presses up, one pup will hop onto the other's shoulders. The vehicle pup can use the rider pup as a wepon to either throw at enemies or take out aerial enemies that are hard to reach.
Now, for the rest of this, I will list other teams of characters you can play as. Keep in mind, if you start a game with a certain team of four characters, you cannot pick other characters from other teams in story mode, but you can in free-for-all mode. You can save up to eight games in story mode on this game (console versions), plus there is also a "no save" option if you just want to play a game all the way through without saving. Anyway, here are the other teams:
Team #2:
Two-Tone (The All-Rounder)
Patch (The Brute)
Dipstick (The Magician)
Wizzer (The Speedster)
This team can be unlocked after you beat Story Mode for the first time, the rest of the teams can be downloaded from the VC of whichever console you're using:
Team #3:
Belchic (The All-Rounder)
Tippy (The Brute)
Noggin (The Magician)
Joey (The Speedster)
Team #4:
Nemo (The All Rounder)
Spade (The Brute)
Envi (The Magician)
Lusious (The Speedster)
Team #5:
Sanka (The All-Rounder)
Orville (The Brute)
LeAnn (The Magician)
Roxy (The Speedster)
Team #6:
Cuddly - the All-Rounder
Smiley - the Brute
Emerald - the Magician
Sweety - the Speedster
Team #7:
Rosalina- The All-Rounder
Flora- The Brute
Shadow-The Magician
Spencer-The Speedster
Team #8:
Splatter- The All-Rounder
Damien- The Brute
Josh- The Magician
Abby- The Speedster
Team #9
Spott (all- rounder)
Chloe (brute)
Charlie (magician)
Twinkle (speedster)
Team #10
Balance - The All-Rounder
Shawn - The Brute
Shane - The Magician
Blake - The Speedster
Team #11
Terry - All rounder
Flux - Brute
Frida - Magician (Dark)
Kit - Speedster
I would like everyone else to please come up with teams for this game using your characters. I will add them as I recieve them. Remember, you have to use four characters, no more no less. You also need to make sure you have an all-rounder, a brute, a magician and a speedster. Oh, and also, no evil pups or 2nd gen pups.
I look forward to hearing other pups' input!
