Okay, Shadow here.
I know you're all familiar with quirks that certain of our pups have(WG, Piggyback Ride/Trench Coats, Giants) when doing rps. But I believe we should limit ourselves in those in RPs.
Which is why I propose a ban on quirks on the Board RPs on Sparky's (Snowed In RP, Average Day RP, etc.) You could still do Quirks on IM RPs that is fine, but not on Board RPs where everyone partakes in the rp.
The best reason I'm proposing this is because I don't like seeing anyone being roped into doing someone else's quirk interfering with their own free will. I'm also being as polite as possible when posting this.

Somebody please delete this topic. It's only going to cause drama!

This topic will not cause drama as long as everybody acts mature and I expect everyone to act mature when replying to this topic.
Now, what are your thoughts?

I think of this as a nice idea. I am saying this because people who do not want anything to do with quirks may end up involved in one and that's quite annoying for the player that wants nothing to do with them.

yeah, I think this is a good idea, besides nobody wants to be forced into doing a quirk they don't like or want to do

Okay, at least two people agree to this.

Well, I don't think it sounds fair to restrict people from doing quirks. Though I do understand the force issue, so I can cut back on that. I just never like the idea of banning this kind of stuff because it'll just drive me insane.

I think the entire basis to this idea is simply “Don’t have it so the others have no choice to do the Quirk.”
I mean, I am okay with Quirks in Board RP’s, just so long that the one doing it doesn’t force others into doing it too.
Cases in point on how they might force you would be either… A. Guilt Trip you into doing it. B. Have some sort of Mind Control thing happen where they have no choice. C. Someone will die if they don’t do the Quirk.
It's okay if someone asks, however if the latter turns down the offer, it needs to be settled at that. No scheme to get them to do it.
So, I think the matter behind this should be an easy rule.
If Quirk is done in Board RP, Don’t make it so that other Players are forced into doing it. If you want another Players Character to do a quirk with you, you must ask their permission first before attempting.
That sound like an idea?

Hmmmm yeah, your idea pretty much covers the whole reason why I introduced the banning quirks proposition in the first place.

I think you were right to make this topic, Shadow. I don't like it when in an rp, someone gets forced or set up by someone else to take part in their quirk. If someone wants to take part in someone else's quirk, it should happen NATURALLY, not be forced.

Okay, I'm in a rut now. Got caught in deciding whether to ban quirks from Board RPs completely or doing quirks as long as you don't force it in other people's faces. So I'm asking what is your preferences

I really like Bab's bolded idea.

Well after thinking I came up with this,
Politely speaking, think really hard. The canon characters being giant babyfurs in a trench coat who has a foot fetish.
Besides, the Board RPs are like actual episodes of 101 Dalmatians: The Series to me.
I also think that quirks should be used in IM RPs whether Group or Private.

Shadow, I think we should go with bab's suggestion. It sounds more fair and makes more sense than just banning them completely.
