Anyone else stoked for this movie? Cause I am! Andrew Garfield looks like he'll be a much better Spide-Man than Tobey Maguire. I like the fact that the story is more based on the comics, namely 'Ultimate Spider-Man'.

I hope this movie will be good.
I did see all three of the 2000s Spider-Man films theatrically and... well, the first movie from 2002 I liked best but it feels like a 90s relic, the second movie from 2004 felt like it had the best villain but he was completely unnecessary (couldn't it have been about Spider-Man struggling with wheter or not he wants to continue being Spider-Man?) and the third movie from 2007... well, it's too disjointed to be considered a film.
So yeah, maybe it's good that they're already rebooting it.

and this time no organic webbing, Spidey will use his web shooters in this movie
Now if they can do a Marvel Secret Wars movie, that would be awesome

Seriously? o.O
Whilst I got nothing against whatever someone's love perks may be, but Peter Parker has been long established as a Straight Character, I mean his multiple Female Love Interests should be a sign of that.
Has Stan Lee stated his opinion on this yet?

It's an interesting thought really. Peter's love life has a habit of ending in tragedy after all. I could see it work for the character because of the aforementioned bad female relationships (could give Spidey a breath of fresh air), but it would have to be explored in an alternate story simply because I think the mainstream comic character nowadays is a grown man who's had a long (yet unfortunate) story with female love interests. He's always been a character to contemplate his life, so I just don't see it happening that he suddenly comes to the realization of his sexuality. In one alternate comic universe, Wolverine is explored as a gay man and in a very manly relationship with The Avengers' Hercules so it's a possibility.
The new revamped movies (loved the first one) are technically a still very unexplored world where such things could be explored. The actor that plays Peter Parker is good to and I don't doubt he could pull it off. My problem is, I'm in more in favor of Spider-Man being a general outcast story. Him being a geeky boy, falling for the popular girl as many can relate to. But now that I thought about it I could actually see it work.
Maybe they introduce MJ as a dude, but it's more hinted at to begin with. Play MJ up as a very supportive friend to begin with. I wouldn't want the entire movie to be focused around a young kid coming to terms with ones sexuality. There are other stories for that. But if they still just played it up slowly, I think it could actually work and be sort of original. I was never really fond of Spider-Man's relationships so if they end up showing him in no relationship, but play this thing on the side it might work?
This rambling & discussion aside, I think it's safe to assume that this suggestion, though an amusing thought project, won't really be happening in these new movies. Society is still too conservative so I honestly don't think they have the guts for one. And second, it would be a big enough turn from the mainstream counterpart to displease even the most open-minded fan of the character who's waiting for the story's adaptation.

Yeah, Spiderman does have a bad History with Women. In the Comics, she has Gwen...and she gets klled...then he married Mary Jane...before selling his Marriage to Mafisto, to save Aunt May from getting klled too...even though Aunt May told Peter to let her!
Although, Audience these days are learning not to watch it due to "Shock Value". You don't need to turn pre-exsisting characters for 'Shock Value' to get Audience in, just write the movie better.
Although, I have heard that for the next film; Jamie Fox shall be playing; 'Electro'. However, they're redesigning him and the Green & Yellow Suit will not be used.
