Follow up from "Captured".
********
As the trap that would be their demise was set up, Tic-Tac began talking.
"Believe me, it was such a dilemma for me to pick the most suitable way to eliminate you. I had so many delightful ideas, I couldn't choose! So, I decided....to try them ALL." he pointed above.
Above them were 4 shotguns, all pointing at where Spot, Rolly, Cadpig and Q all sat tied up. To their sides were a bow and arrow, above them an axe and on the roof was an anvil.
"Let me show you how it works...Picture this! In 10 minutes, the alarm clock will ring..." he said, pointing to an alarm clock nearby.
"It will then send a pulse to this motor which will pull the rope. Once the motor is wound tight enough....Boom. Twang. Thunk....SPLAT!" he shouted. Spot grimaced.
"And so ends the short, UNDISTINGUISHED career of Q, the dog-detective." Tic-Tac continued with a grin. Q merely sat there, tied up, blinking occasionally.
"You will remember to smile for the camera, won't you?" Tic-Tac asked with a grin, as he pointed to a camera on a tripod nearby.
"You fiend!" shouted Spot.
"Sorry, chicken. You should have picked your friends more wisely. Maybe you would have been better off sitting in the shed, clucking mindlessly while sitting on your eggs..." Tic-Tac replied calmly. He then turned to Noggin, who was bound and gagged.
"Oh, allow me to congratulate you Noggin, on your excellent craftsmanship. See what you can do with the proper motivation?"
he said, pointing at the aircraft that he forced Noggin to design.
"Come, Jenny and Mooch, WE have a parade to catch."
And they left in the aircraft, after throwing Noggin in the locked room.
"Auf Wiedersehen! Arrivederci! Au Revoir! Bye-bye, you guys."
---------------------
"What did he by mean a parade to catch?"asked Spot.
"Oh, haven't you figured it out yet? Lucky and Two-Tone are in danger, the farm is doomed." Q sighed.
"Lucky??! Two-Tone??! The Farm!!!"
"Yes."
"Well, then, aren't you going to do something??!"
"What good woud it be? Tic-Tac's more clever than I am. He would never fall into such an obvious trap..."
"Now, pull yourself together! We all make mistakes!"
Spot noticed something.
"The clock! Time's running out! Do something!"
"Oh, finally, after I've been outwitted....humiliated....laughed at...."
"THAT'S ENOUGH!!!" Spot suddenly shouted but it almost caused the anvil to drop.
"I know you can save us" whispered Spot, "Cadpig, Rolly and Noggin are counting on you, Lucky and TT are in danger...But if you've given up, why don't we just set the trap off and be done with it??!"
Q looked at her and shut his eyes.
"Set...the trap off now....heh heh..."
Suddenly, he opened his eyes wide open.
"Set the trap off now? Yes, heh heh, YES! WE'LL SET THE TRAP OFF NOW!!!!!!"
