Hey there guys, I think you've heard about the most recent OS Microsoft's been babbling about: Windows 8. It'll be released on Oct 26, two days from now. So why am I posting this? I would like to know if anyone is considering to switch/upgrade... because, basing from the articles I've read, (See links below) it sucks. Why? That there's nothing really changed, they just added some more features that isn't even necessary like the Windows App feature. Seriously? Apps? On a desktop? And that's not the worst part; according to some sources, the start button feature has been removed. WTF Microsoft?!!! It's far much worse than their last epic failure, Vista! And the start screen looks like more of that of an tablet/android!!! I mean, have you ever seen a touchscreen desktop before? How can you play games with that crap?! *sighs* Complete bullsh*t Microsoft!!! What's the matter? Running out of ideas? (This is starting too turn into a rant eh?) So to end this, Windows 8 is a complete f*cking failure that Microsoft has ever done in history. If any of you guys are considering to upgrade, think again. What do you think about Windows 8?

Sounds to me like something I'll pass on for now. I haven't even had my Windows 7 computer for a year yet. Sounds to me like this is going to be another Vista.

Belchic, yeah, it IS going to be another Vista. It'll probably suck more than Vista did. @two-Tone: Like I said, Win 8 is a complete waste. Crappy user-interface, f*cked-up performance, and sh*tty visuals/features.

My Vista actually worked pretty fine, when I had one. The reason I needed to get a newer Laptop was that the Speakers somehow broke, due to a program from another company.
But I seen this Windows 8, Does look rubbish, ugly and generic. =s
Who is in charge of Window's design team?

Well to answer your question Bab, Microsoft is in charge on all the Windows operating systems.
And yeah, Windows 8 looks rubbish. Microsoft decided to remote the start button and replace it with a start screen.

I'm kind of iffy on the new system. I just bought a laptop a few weeks ago with Windows 7 and got a good deal on it though.
