Since my English class has started studying legends, (mainly King Arthur), the idea of this canine OC popped into my head.
-
Name: Robin
Nickname: Sir Robin
Gender: Male
Breed: Dalmatian
Age: Young Teen
Sexuality: Straight
Alignment: Good
Friends: None atm
Likes: The legend of King Arthur and other legends. The renaissance era.
Dislikes: Firearms, and rude and ignorant pups and humans
Physical Appearance: Robin bears a pattern of spots on his left side, that seem to practically illustrate the outline of a sword.
Clothing: A blue cape that his former master was able to make. In the center of it, is a paw print, as the emblem.
History/Past: Sir Robin was originally owned, while a puppy, by a librarian. He was very loyal to his owner & even helped, (or tried to help), to make sure no book was taken w/out being checked out. While at the library, Robin was allowed to read some books. He soon became interested in the Legend of King Arthur and his knights. One day, Robin pawed at an image of a few knights, while showing it to his owner. He was specifically pawing at the image of the cape one of the knights wore. His owner understood, and was able to work on a blue, (Robin's choice), cape, with a paw print for an emblem/symbol.
Everything seemed fine. Until 1 day, apparently, someone broke into Robin's home, while he and his master were at home. This criminal seemed to be carrying a low-ammo pistol, and a knife, (as a sidearm/melee weapon). He was trying to steal $$$$$ and a few possessions. At 1st, Robin tried to attack, but the criminal gave a warning shot. Being of young age, though somewhat brave, Robin was afraid, when the crook gave the warning shot.
However, when Robin's owner tried to resist/refuse to cooperate, the thief shot the man with the pistol to the chest. Seeing his owner get shot and fall, filled Robin w/rage, & he attacked the murderer like a rabid dog, ripping his neck apart.
Once the criminal was dead, Robin slowly and sadly walked over to his owner, who was bleeding and seconds from death. Though Robin was beginning to cry and whimper, his owner seemed to smile & calmly say, "Heh It's okay, Robin. You did good. " Seconds later, Robin's owner died.
A couple of days later, after the funeral and burial of his master, Robin, feeling that there was nowhere to live, (since his master was no longer alive), sadly left his town, and travelled the road, not hitch-hiking even once.
During this travelling, Robin vowed to perform good deeds, & kill only when necessary, as if hoping to seek redemption for not saving his master.
Then, one day, Robin came across Dearly Farm, & decided to stop by & see if any help wud be needed. At first, it seemed to him, that help wasn't necessary. However, he soon noticed that there were MANY other Dalmatians on the farm. To him, it almost looked like a classic, fine, renaissance village, of Dalmatians and other organisms, so he decided to stay.
Though he noticed how kind the Dearlys were to the animals on the farm, he still kept his former master in his heart, and never forgot.
Personality: Most of the time, Sir Robin acts chivalrous, (courteous to females, loyal to authority and friends, etc.), polite, and kind. Robin often acts brave or bold when a conflict arises. However, he is rather merciful to enemies. He will only kill someone, if they truly deserve death. Although, if he begins to recall the scenario, and/or describe it, (mainly what his master last said, and how his master looked), he will begin to least slightly doubt himself, since he feels guilty of not being able to save his master's life.
Voice Actor: Richard Gere, (Lancelot from "First Knight", [1995].
