I'd hate to say it, (in case I tick anyone off), but I decided to make an OC that represents the side of me, (least my mind), that finds mankind as, as Q said, "a lowest of species....imperfect, lumpin', human being". Just thought I'd give a reason as to why this new OC is made. (Note: Some of his info is based off of "War of the Worlds" by H.G. Wells)
-
Name: Orson
Gender: Male
Origin: Martian
Species, (according to Earth standards): THICK-furred Siberian Husky
Sexuality: Straight
Alignment: Evil, least for mankind
Age, (earth-wise): Pup, [about Clayton's age, in the present]
Age, (Martian-wise): Teen pup, or young adult
Relatives: Mother, father, and older sister
Friends/Allies: Fellow canines, or Earthlings who support his plan, to some extent, or otherwise don't mind his company.
Enemies: Earthly humans who don't seem to care a thing about the Earth's well-being, or nature. And any pup who is COMPLETELY against his plan. Epsilon and his followers.
Interests: H.G. Wells's novels, especially Island of Dr. Moreau and War of the Worlds, (bcuz he finds it a bit funny). The Twilight Zone episodes, "To Serve Man" and "Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up?"
Dislikes: Those who believe ALL Martians are bad/evil, and Epsilon and his followers
Appearance: A similar body structure to that of Canis familiaris, (domestic dog). His size, least on Earth, is about the same as Doc, (Bab's Doc), while on Mars, due to slightly less gravity, several inches taller than Doc. Also, considering the colder temperatures on Mars, compared to Earth, Orson has fur that's slightly thicker than the avg. Husky. However, since it doesn't cover his face, he's still able to see. His fur color is mainly light-brown, and a white belly. His eye color is a bright orange, like that of Mars in some photos.
Tool(s): A gun-shaped device, from his home planet that bears MANY settings/effects, such as one where any object hit by it, (or targeted by it), just vanishes completely. However, it also comes with an effect similar to the 'redo' option in a PC program. He can also choose which action/effect of the gun to redo. He also wears a verbal translator/interpreter around his neck so that he may be able to understand & speak various languages upon Earth, mostly English, Spanish, and a bit of French. (Originally, it was able to translate least his dialogue & that of others into more languages such as Mandarin, Latin, and so on, but his crash-landing caused the translator to be damaged to some extent but he's fine with having the 3 essential languages, {that is to say, the 3 languages I've learned most of during my education}, still available to him via this harmless device).
Past/History: Orson is of course from Mars, upon which there lives a thriving, but sophisticated, or highly intelligent, community of humanoid beings, and canine-like beings, that are just as sophisticated. Both races are well adapted to the cold temperatures of Mars. One of their pieces of technology, is a telescope that can examine even the elements/chemicals present on adjacent/nearby planets, (mainly Jupiter and Earth). Since the humanoid beings and canine-like beings are able to understand each other, both races are allowed to use this telescope.
Well, one day, Orson asked his mother and father, if he could go to the nearest viewing platform, at which there was one of these telescopes. They both allowed him to, and he was rather interested in examining the planets.
However, when he examined Earth closely, and checked the amount of each chemical upon the Earth, as well as the quality of its environment, he was rather disappointed/displeased/somewhat depressed at how badly it seemed to be. Many organisms in danger of extinction. Intense pollution of the air, land, and water. Nature's cycle, pretty much being thrown off course.
He adjusted the telescope, so he cud see some things that could be causing this. He saw factories that produced nuclear/atomic energy, as well as oil wells, and fossil fuel-burning factories or complexes. He also saw large areas of forests and natural habitats being cut down. About the last thing he saw, were poachers.
He didn't exactly like to see the well-being of the Earth become damaged, and, potentially destroyed. He then told his parents and elders about this, but they mainly suggested that, since the Earthlings began this, it's their problem, and that they shouldn't get into the affairs of other planets, so as to avoid galactic warfare.
Despite this advice, Orson was determined to try to fix the problem, his way. So, he told his mother, that despite her advice, he was going to try to help the planet, for the Earth's sake, and all-non human organisms upon it. Despite the fact that she advised him to not go, Orson's mother couldn't help but support him in his generous mission. He then got a mask, (like an oxygen mask), a gun-shaped device, that bore MANY different settings/effects. Finally, he was able to find himself a mostly functioning pod, used for travelling, (and no, it's not a tripod, like in WotW). He fixed it up as much as he could, positioned it correctly, and, before entering the pod and leaving, hugged his mother, father, and older sister.
As he hugged his mother one last time, a few tears appeared on her face. Orson then smiled nicely, wiped away the tears, insisting that she doesn't cry, and assured her that he'll be okay, and that sometime, he'll come back home.
Orson then stepped into the pod, closed the door, and began to operate it, setting its course for Earth, specifically, an open, fresh field in the continent known as North America. As he had the pod completely set up, he put on his mask, waved goodbye to his family, and hit the final button, at which the pod began to fly off from the ground, and towards Earth, at about the speed of sound.
Personality: Orson, is, of course, rather intelligent. Even when opposed by someone who's in his way, Orson will try to be as merciful as he can. He is actually one who's willing to negotiate, long as his plan can be executed to some extent, no blood/skin has to be shed, or he can be content in the end of the negotiations. About the last thing he wants to do is kill a fellow canine, especially from Mars. He believes in the phrase "a life for a life", but only believes that this phrase works with beings of the same species/race.
Evil Plan: Unlike Epsilon, who mainly wants to rid Earth of humans, themselves, Orson mainly wants to dispose of mankind's effects upon nature on Earth, & those/that which assist in it, (including non-living objects, such as factories). In short, send mankind back to about the mid-1800's or colonial era, technologically speaking. He won't kill all humans, only those who don't seem to care a thing for Earth's well-being or that of nature, such as excessive hunters or poachers. He states, with honesty, that he's not doing this for Mars, but for the sake of any non-human organism upon Earth, as well as for the sake of the planet itself.
