There is a difference between the first and second names, one ends with an "e" and the other ends with an "a".
I'm pregnant, and I'm trying to get a lot of people to vote on this. The boy name is Nicholas Ian, and the girl name is Lilith [Something]. Right now, I'm only seven weeks and calling the embryo Nicolith.

www.babynamegenie.com/polls/424456/resultsHere are the results of one of my other public polls. My hesitation with Emmanuelle is that I'm worried she would be told "that's a boy's name". I have a daughter whose middle name is Simone, and there's some of that with her middle name. Simone is pronounced differently from Simon, but Emmanuelle and Emmanuel sound the same to most people. I have another daughter whose middle name is Janus (because she was born in January). Janus is the name of a male god in Roman mythology, but since everyone thinks Janus is like Janice, which it is, there isn't that problem there.

I pronounce Emmanuelle and Emmanuel audibly different, but the difference might be accentuated by the Scandinavian pitch in my English accent. Same with Simone/Simon. I like the name Simone (small digression.) Go with your gut feeling though. I don't believe this will rest on a poll's decision in the end, anyway

Emmanuelle is the clear winner in all polls, but I do like Emmanuella better. Argh.
My husband leaves the naming up to me. His one request was the first son be named after himself, and he was.
Husband said, "You can name the rest of them Merry Christmas and Happy Valentine's Day if you it makes you smile!", probably knowing I wouldn't actually do that.
