Now they're rebooting Superman? Is Hollywood really running out of ideas these days?

Either that, or Hollywood's being taken over by people who only care about merchandise, cuz that's about the only reason I see for constantly making more and more films for a single superhero.

Well, now that Christopher Nolan is finished with Batman, the WB is having him do Superman.
I have a feeling that people are going to be arguing over the fact he won't be wearing his red briefs.

And what's wrong with making a lot of Super Hero Movies? They have the Western Craze during the 70's, Sci-Fi had a boost during the 80's, The 2000's had Sequels & Remakes No One was Asking For (Seriously, Almost every Hollywood film in 2005 was either a Sequel or a Remake!), so why can't the 2010's have Super Hero Craze? Although, I do wonder whether they'll set this in the Nolan Universe of DC or if it be a different verse altogether. Or is this going to be like another Smallville?

If they reboot any superhero franchise that they want to try to get me to see, it'll have to be Darkwing Duck!

Actually, this reboot of Superman is actually supposed to be a whole new storyline entirely, solely based on the Comic Books. Nolan is known for taking something from the source material and blending it with something fresh and new, that's why his films are awesome and that's why this movie will be awesome!

So this is only a reboot? Like a revival of some sort?

Well, Like how Nolan's Reboot of the Batman Films is a different Batman to the Tim Burton one. Or how the new "Amazing Spiderman" is different to the Toby Maguire Spiderman.
Just a different continuity really. Although, would they mention the other DC Heroes in this and will it be like the Pre or Post DC Reboot?

I'm not really looking forward to this. Don't get me wrong, I love Superman ('Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound!") but this looks too dark. I really enjoyed the first two Superman movies with the late Christopher Reeve, Superman II still being the best Superman movie in my opinion, but III and IV: The Quest for Peace were poorly made and Returns was too dark. The dark costume for this one already seems like a turnoff for me but I'll probably still go see it when it is released.
"Superman Returns" should have taught them a darker Supes movie won't sell, seriously in that whole movie there's one fun scene where he saves the Boeing 777 and Lois but otherwise the sun barely shines. I hope this one is brighter than the trailers imply but having General Zod as the villain, the same scenario as II, already has me thinking this could be really good.
One thing I wonder is why they cast British actor Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel. I'm sure he'll do as great a job as possible but having a Brit play Superman is like having a Yankee play the Doctor, kind of missing the point of the character. Of course British actors played Batman and Spider-Man in their last movies so the concern is probably unfounded and trivial at best but still it's Superman, there wasn't one American actor good enough to play the guy who is supposed to fight for 'truth, justice and the American way?'

I just got word that the Sequel to 'Man Of Steel' will be...
Superman & Batman!
Yeah, It's been confirmed they're making a film of Superman teaming up (or fighting, probably both) with Batman!
It's set to be filmed in Toronto and will be shown in 2015.
Christopher Nolan has said he's on board too.
What you Pups think it's going to be like?

Too dark for the awesome stuff to shine through, just like Man of Steel.
