I cried through 95% of it.

I got back from seeing it with my school's Thespian society about two hours ago.
I don't typically cry at movies (though the same can't be said for Wreck-It Ralph), but I was a writhing pile of squeals and emotion during this whole thing. Holy sh*t, it was painfully good. My emotions are all thrown out of whack and I don't know whether to appreciate it or scream at it for making me feel as much as I did.
Russell Crowe sounded like he had a mouth full of cotton balls every time he sang, though. But anyway.

I envy almost every country for getting it early.
It Doesn't open in the UK until January 11, Despite the fact that a majority of the movie was filmed in my home city. ^^; So, my Family will probably spend the majority of the movie trying to point what areas of our city, they used. ^^;
I actually auditioned to be an extra for this! Although, I never heard back from them. =s
Isn't it true, the Original West End Val Jean is the Bishop who gives the Candles to the film Val Jean?

You're absolutely correct, Bab! There are a handful of other cameoes sprinkled throughout the film of original actors and actresses, such as the original Eponine in the West End production playing a prostitute at one point, and the orignal Grantaire in West End playing the Army General of the National Guard, among others.
That's not such a long wait! It'll be worth it in the end.

As for Russell Crowe, I think his singing voice fits Javert's overly serious and dutiful character.

Yeah, Chels. If it's anything like the musical, it's bound to be good! =3
I seen some clips on YouTube, looks good, although are a majority of Hugh Jackman's songs spoken, like he does in "Who Am I?" ^^;

Not overly spoken, but there are parts when he does speak through a few of his sung lines, though it doesn't happen often. I'd say about 95% of the movie is sung through with the occasional spoken lines sprinkled in. They're very good about what's spoken and what's not, though.

Paws was right. This movie was.. REALLY awesome. Though I'm not generally into musicals, this movie was touching.. and sad I thought all the actors were great and believable, including all the cute kids TwT

I'm planning on watching this as soon as it opens here (February 14th.. can't wait!). I've heard it's really good, and the fact that it's a musical makes it even better. I love musicals. ^^,

Well, I'll be seeing this Movie in Cinema on Friday with my Parents.
I have seen a video showing Crowe singing Stars...I do agree with Paws, he does sound like he's got some cotton balls in his mouth, doesn't he? ^^;
I admit this, when I first heard this Movie was being made, I heard that Helena Carter was in it. As soon as I heard that, I instantly thought "Oh! Tim Burton is making it, Johnny Depp will be either Val Jean or the Master of the House and Danny Elfman will do the Music."
I was surprised to learn later it is the Director of; "The King's Speech".
Anyone else think that when news of that revealed itself?

I had an inkling that he was attached, but I kind of knew he wasn't, too. I'm actually pretty glad that Helena Bonham Carter is in something that's not a Tim Burton/Johnny Depp project. She's fabulous as Madame Thenardier; one of the best performances I've seen. While not bearing the traditionally "ugly" appearance that most of them seem to do (I saw the live Broadway tour of it over the weekend and it was just as fantastic), she still does great.

Well, Just seen the Film and it was VERY Good!
It was a little bit awkward at the start, but got better as it went along. The one playing Marius was way better than I expected and I was surprised to see that a New Song had been made for the Film too! o.o
I spotted a small error though, In the "Master of the House" Number, it showed someone dressed as 'Santa', but I noticed he was dressed in Red. Santa didn't start wearing Red until Coca Cola made him in the 1930ish, so shouldn't his outfit be green?

I didn't notice that, to be honest, and really that scene was so funny I didn't even care.
I liked the new song they put in. I felt like it explained things better with Valjean's emotions about being a father. That's my one complaint about the musical, that it just jumps in time from when Cosette/Eponine are kids right to the revolution, so I think that helped tie up loose ends quite nicely.
