Yeah, they did explain more details in the Movie which is good. They even gave Marius a grandfather.
Agreed, laughed through the Master of the House number.
Like said, very enjoyable film. Anne Hathaway was BRILLIANT as Fantine. Wasn't her mother the original one?
Although, Spoilers; when Javert jumps from the bridge, I felt like the noise he made when he hit the bottom felt too cartoony. You remember that?

Definitely Anne Hathaway's best performance, in my opinion, and all her performances were good. BEST version of "I Dreamed A Dream" EVER.
Help, I've fallen in love with Russell Crowe's Javert. I keep having dreams about saving him.

Just saw Les Mis at the Oscars and I got to say, Russell Crowe has definitely improved his Singing voice! O.o In Fact, the Audience applauded on how much it had improved.
Any one else see it?
