I know that it is rather late, or QUITE early, to post up this idea for a Christmas rp, but it came to me today, while I was thinking of the songs "Marley and Marley", "When Love Is Gone", "Scrooge", and "A Thankful Heart", from The Muppet's Christmas Carol.
The idea is an rp, but a bit like a play. And, yes, the plot of the play is supposed to be least based on "A Christmas Carol". The idea is, we don't directly play as the characters, but, we take roles, (the styles of which are based on the characters), and use our OCs in those roles. Of course, those with large roles, such as Scrooge, or Bob Crachit, need to be on often when/if we start this rp. I'll list some other rules and some roles I find as important or necessary for this.
Characters/Roles:
Ebeneezer Scrooge
Bob Crachit
Tiny Tim
Mrs. Crachit
Scrooge's nephew, Fred
Ghost of Christmas Past
Ghost of Christmas Present
Ghost of Christmas Yet-to-come, (actions will be required 2b typed in)
Belle, (Scrooge's former love)
Jacob Marley
Charity worker/collector
Narrator, (possibly needed, not sure yet).
-
Rules:
1. You may use phrases or lines from the original novel, or story, if any come to mind, but try not to use the whole book. Hehe
2. Songs, (even ones from musical forms of "A Christmas Carol"), are optional and allowed.
3. If you sign up for a role that, when the date of when the rp/play would begin, you believe that you might not be able to partake as that character, you may allow someone else to try.
-
That's all the rules for now. (I'd add another, saying that folks may have 1-2 roles, but it wouldn't seem fair, since I know there are MORE roles than that which I listed.^^;.) I do know that blood relation circumstances might not work with some OCs, but perhaps we could assume some of them bear a connection that is almost like family. (Ex. Shadow and Clayton find each other as brothers.) I'm not entirely sure whether or not this should be a play/rp that is done with 1st & 2nd gen OCs, though. You may comment on what you think of it, and list any suggestions, if you like. If you'd like me to give you a link to any of the songs listed above or, perhaps Marley's song from a specific "Christmas Carol" film/musical, (the song is "Link by Link"), just ask me.
