This is the thread where we can talk about an animated show from the 1990s called Goof Troop. This show features Goofy and his son, Max. They live next door to Pete and his family, which are his wife named Peg, his son named PJ, and his daughter named Pistol.
The reason I started this thread is that there's some information about Goofy's wife/Max's mom going around in some places on the Internet, and what was stated about her was that she was only mentioned briefly in one episode of the show. It was never mentioned which episode, though, but it has been stated in that episode, whichever it was, that Goofy's wife/Max's mom is "up there amongst the stars". That quote implies that she is dead, making Goofy a widower. I've seen this show as a kid, and I don't remember Goofy's wife/Max's mom ever being mentioned at all. Recently, I've been watching episodes of the show on Trilulilu just to find which one had that quote mentioned. So far, none of the episodes I just watched have it. I feel that this one piece of information is not true.
So, the rest of you can talk more about this one piece of information, or you can just discuss anything that actually happened in the show. I'd like to see what you guys have to say about it.

Many people consider it the last of the good Disney Afternoon shows. However, I think those said people didn't bother to give 101 Dalmatians a chance and never heard of Timon & Pumbaa.
If I remember correctly, A Goofy Movie was supposed to be a movie based on this show, but it takes place a few years later when Max is in high school. The weird thing I noticed about that movie is that PJ's mom and sister (Peg and Pistol) are nowhere to be seen or mentioned in the film. How come? Well, I've heard different theories but have no idea where they came from. One thing I remember hearing once was that Peg and Pistol were doing wilderness-exploring, but I don't know where that came from. The theory I came up with was that Pete and Peg got divorced. Come to think of it, the two family pets, Waffles (the Goofs' cat) and Chainsaw (the Petes' dog) are also absent.
I know I was kind of rambling off topic there, but I figured this might be the best place and time to bring that up.

I always have a feeling that A Goofy Movie took place sometime after Goof Troop because of Goofy, Pete, Max, and PJ in it. That movie also has a sequel called An Extremely Goofy Movie, which featured Max and PJ in college.
As for Peg and Pistol not seen in the two aformentioned films, I have read from a few places on the Internet about the theory of Pete and Peg having been divorced, which is why some fans think Peg and Pistol are not in them.
It's okay to talk about A Goofy Movie and An Extremely Goofy Movie in this topic, since they both have something to do with Goof Troop anyway.

Don't forget Roxanne wasn't in the sequel of The Goofy Movie, so the relationship between her and Max after The Goofy Movie was unknown at that time.
I've never heard those rumors except that Peg and Pistol were probably spending quality time, though a divorce is possible for Pete and Peg which could explain the rumors about their divorce. I'm not really sure, so if you read this, please explain this, I've read a comment on Youtube and don't bother trying to find it, Youtube probably took the Video down like they always do.
Anyway the comment read that Peg might have a crush on Goofy, cause in one episode she did kiss him.

Yeah, I've read somewhere that Max and Roxanne separated somewhere after A Goofy Movie and before An Extremely Goofy Movie. But, as usual, I won't believe something happened in a movie, TV show, etc. until it's confirmed by the creators. Roxanne, however, did appear in an episode of Disney's House Of Mouse. And in Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas, Max is seen with a girl named Mona, who, surprisingly, was voiced by the same person who voiced Roxanne in A Goofy Movie, Kellie Martin.

Roxanne wasn't even in Goof Troop.
I've seen Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas myself, which is supposedly supposed to take place before the events of Goof Troop, but the strangest thing I've noticed in that movie is that Pete seems to be living completely alone. What's up with that?

We know that Roxanne wasn't in Goof Troop. Also, I have been thinking the same thing about that one part in Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas, which shows Pete living alone, and Goofy and Max living next door to him. I think that part took place before Goof Troop, because in that one segment of the film, Max is younger than he was in Goof Troop. And on the first episode of Goof Troop, Goofy and Max just moved in next door to Pete.
