Lucky was curious to see Roger’s new game, which was apparently, much like the Doom franchise, except based around Dearly Farm
Although there was a bit of a storm outside, he wanted to play it regardless, so, without waiting, he loaded up the game and started to play it, pretty much, straight away.
“Man, this isn’t a bad game, could be better though” Lucky commented to himself as he continued to play.
Although, through the first level, a lightning bolt had struck the power outlet, managing to zap Lucky into the game itself.
“Whoa, okay, that was weird” Lucky had found himself standing on what looked like the farm, before hearing a voice.
“Welcome Lucky to my game, sure, you may be thinking that this is suppose to be Roger’s game, however, I control the computer, I control this game, and you may be thinking that you will escape from this world, however, you are gravely mistaken” replied the voice.
“And just who are you to say if I will escape or not?” Lucky asked back.
“Ah yes, the primitive mind always has questions and I shall answer your question, I am Data, and like I had said before, I control the levels of this game, I control everything within this computer and every other computer out there” it then appeared in the form of a human, but all blue, its voice comprising that of data.
“So, you’re just data then?” Lucky asked back, once more.
“As your race would say, do not judge a book by its cover, there are more to someone than meets the eye”
“You are right Data, I will get out of here, no matter what”
“Very well then, you will be challenged on all levels of this game, but whether the game will remain in its same concept or not will be entirely up to myself, I have studied everyone on this farm, thanks to the information that Roger had inputted into his computer, so, it will not be that easy to escape” Data had then vanished from sight “Let the game begin” it then chuckled.
Nothing seemed to happen at first before a couple of hands appeared out of the ground, where zombies rose up “A rather simple mission to start off with, something that is rather common among games, however, what will be different is that the zombies will get more powerful as you defeat them”
“Sounds easy” gloated Lucky rather confidently.
Data only chuckled as the zombies begun to move forward.
“And what about weapons?”
“Ah yes, the weapon required to defeat these zombies, you will simply have to find them hidden around the farm, I never did say it was easy” replied Data.
The zombies seemed to get closer to Lucky, whom had taken off “Come on, weapon, weapon…” he muttered as he begun to frantically search.
Although, before long, Lucky had found a weapon, it was a Needler, pretty much the same weapon seen in Halo, but with some modifications, the weapon now housed real needles and looked more like a mini machine gun “This’ll have to do” he muttered and turned, starting to fire at the zombie, one by one, starting to take them down.
A void of sorts seemed to open up in the ground, once all the zombies were defeated as a dragon appeared, but what was more, it was undead “Welcome to your first boss battle Lucky, a relatively simple one really, all you must do is to defeat this dragon” Data then chuckled.
Lucky gave a quick growl “Bring it” he seemed to mutter as he ducked and dodged between the dragon’s attacks, firing pot-shots at it as well.
Although, none of the attacks seemed to be doing anything to the dragon, Lucky was now finding it rather hard to figuring out what to next, glancing around the environment before looking over at Cruella’s mansion, noticing a giant turret, in the shape of a crossbow “Since when did Cruella get a giant crossbow?” although, he then shook his head “Nevermind that, I’ll take that offer” he said, rushing for the mansion, which seemed surprisingly close.
In a few seconds, he managed to get up onto the roof, which was now, rather small, the mansion, but still big enough to house the turret.
Lucky begun loading up one of the bolts before dodging one of the dragon’s attacks again before firing it, impaling the dragon in the chest, pinning it against the chow tower before loading up another bolt, firing it again, impaling the dragon in the head, killing it off for good.
Data was then heard laughing “Good, good, I must say, I am rather impressed with your skills that you house Lucky, however, the next level will put them to the test even more” and all that time as Data spoke, there was a clicking sound “Now, enter the next level and we shall see how well you pit against the next form of enemies, and since I am feeling rather generous, I have reloaded your Needler for you, so take it and go”
Lucky picked up the weapon and headed off for the farm house and entered the now open door, the dragon still remaining dead.
Although, once he entered, he saw that the room was rather different; it was not a room at all, but instead, a fairground. He glanced back only to find there was no door anymore, so he glanced back ahead again, starting to walk through the fairground.
“Ah Lucky, I am so glad that you could make it here all in one piece too, it would’ve been a shame to see you die rather early in the game” Data spoke up.
“So Data, was does this level consist off?” Lucky asked it.
“Ah, so glad you had asked, as a matter of fact, it is another simple level, this time, clowns” replied Data.
“Are you wanting me to win?”
“Oh no Lucky, do not get me wrong, you will die, but not yet, it’s too early, the levels will get harder, there are six of them all up, can you handle five more?”
“Just bring it on” Lucky said as soon enough, clowns did start to appear, rushing towards Lucky, whom started to fire at the knocking them out, one by one “You call this a challenge?”
“Oh no, not this part” replied Data as Lucky had easily taken care of the clowns “No, the boss battle on this level will be the real challenge, one rather, familiar face indeed”
“Elaborate on that” Lucky ordered more.
“Elaborate? I shall do better than that” Data replied as on top of the Ferris wheel appeared a figure, a rather familiar one.
“Wait, that’s…”
“Indeed, Drake, one of the best swordsmen to date, or so that’s what has been gathered about him, he shall prove to be more of a challenge for you”
“But I thought he was…” Lucky begun before being cut off by Data.
“Dead? Indeed, he is dead, he has just been reconfigured to shop up inside the game, all his abilities the same” Data told Lucky as Drake had jumped off the Ferris wheel, landing a couple of feet away from Lucky “But unlike his real counterpart, this version will not hesitate to kill, especially not you”
Drake begun to walk forward, clutching his sword “Uh oh…” was all Lucky said as he started to dodge the attacks from Drake.
Although, Lucky couldn’t keep it up as he was knocked back, however, he did return fire at Drake, most of them being blocked, but some of them actually were striking him.
The Needler seemed to run out of ammo, only to have it reloaded with a whole new round, Lucky thought nothing of it and concentrated his fire on Drake.
Drake stumbled back a bit as he was pummelled with needles, but was still fight worthy and only grinned as he then knocked the weapon out of Lucky’s hand, before knocking him back once again.
The weapon was now out of reach from Lucky, however, he wasn’t about to give up as he started to dodge Drake’s attacks again before diving for the Needler again, turning and pummelling Drake with a more needles.
Drake did seem to stand for a second before falling down, being defeated and killed, straight away.
Data had then spoke “You are progressing rather quickly, but do not dawdle, the big top awaits you”
“The big top? Oh right” Lucky turned and headed off for the big top, entering it, but now, finding himself inside a museum.
Data then spoke, once Lucky reached his destination “Level three, half way there Lucky, but do not expect it light up, see that Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton in front of you?”
“What about it?” Lucky asked, sounding unimpressed.
Data then chuckled “It’s another concept in games they have, which you should know about, a chase mission where one is being chassed by another creature” the skeleton then begun to move, glancing to Lucky “And in this case, it shall be the Tyrannosaurus Rex”
“Oh yeah, and what’s it going to do? Come alive?” Lucky asked back, only to hear the roar, in which case, he turned and saw it “I spoke too soon…”
“Best start running Lucky” Data seemed to order more or less.
Lucky had no choice and begun to run, running throughout the museum, heading through a set course, set by Data, leading him somewhere by the looks of things.
Soon enough though, after a bit of running, he had came to an open area just as the Tyrannosaurus Rex arrive with a roar, crashing through the door, some of its bones falling off in the process.
Lucky had then gotten an idea and stood near the wall, awaiting the skeleton. Once it saw Lucky, it charged, but only smashed its skull against the wall, cracking it.
Lucky then ran, heading for the other side, with the T-Rex chasing him, watching it smash its skull against the wall again.
A third time Lucky had done it and the skull cracked again, this time, shattering before the rest of it just fell to the ground.
“Now that…that was just creepy” Lucky said with a shudder.
“Well done Lucky” Data said, almost sounding pleased with lucky, and happy for him, another door now unlocking “But don’t get ahead of yourself Lucky, there are still more levels ahead of you”
Lucky didn’t reply as he then headed off for the next level, a labyrinth where Data spoke once again to Lucky “Now this is another, rather unique level, you are against the boss himself in this level, but where he is, you may not know, there are also weapons hidden around this labyrinth, but it will be up to you to get to them and use them”
“And who is this boss I’m up against this time?”
“Oh, come now Lucky, I wouldn’t want to ruin it for you this time, you shall just have to see who it is” Data chuckled, leaving Lucky to find his way through the labyrinth.
“Great, just great…” Lucky muttered as he walked off, heading through the labyrinth.
He didn’t seem to get that far though when he heard something “Hmm?” he wondered before turning to face the creature; it was a Minotaur, whom wielded a spiked club.
Lucky gave a gulp as the Minotaur swung its club at Lucky, whom jumped back, barely dodging the attack, only to be knocked back against the wall, crashing through as well.
Lucky just groaned, but saw a spear laying on the ground nearby, so he picked it up, ready to defend himself, only to have the Minotaur grab it and snap it in half with ease, looking rather annoyed already.
The Minotaur then went to charge at lucky, but this time, Lucky dodged the attack, leaving the Minotaur to strike the wall, but instead of crashing through, it just hit it, being stunned.
Lucky took this opportunity to take the club from the Minotaur, striking it across the face, doing a bit of damage to it before striking it a second time.
The Minotaur gave a roar and turned to charge at Lucky, only to be struck across the face with precise timing from Lucky, this time, knocking it down to the ground “Now, finish it” Data ordered.
“No” replied Lucky.
“Do you wish to see your family ever again?”
“Yes, of course I do”
“Then you will finish the Minotaur, otherwise, I will leave you trapped within the game forever, with no escape at all”
Lucky gave a quick growl, walking over to the Minotaur and smashed the spiked club into the Minotaur’s face.
Data gave another chuckle “Good, god, only two more levels left”
Lucky was about to move when the ground below him gave way, causing Lucky to fall into the next area.
He got back up with a groan and had a glance around, he seemed to be in Cruella’s mansion now “Wait a second, how is that possible?”
“Games do not have to make sense for them to be possible, most games are fictional, and speaking of that, this is the next level, navigate your way out of here and back to the farm” replied Data.
“Piece of cake, I have been through this mansion so many times, I know it like the back of my paw” replied Lucky rather proudly.
“We shall see about that indeed Lucky” Data told him “Now, get going”
Lucky gave a quick grumble at Data, whom was ordering him around still as he walked off “Now, if I recall this correctly, the exit should be around here somewhere” Lucky muttered as he opened up one of the doors, but to see a train charging towards him, causing Lucky to quickly close the door “Wrong door”
He tried the next door, only to find a brick wall behind it, so he then shut it “This is going to be tougher than I had anticipated” he said as he headed down the hallway, seeing a door at the end, except that when he reached it, it was only big enough for a mouse to get through “What kind of mansion is this?”
Lucky groaned as he leaned on the small door, trying to figure out what to do when most of it seemed to crumble away, revealing another rather large area.
He walked forward, glancing around “Hmm…” although, his concentration was broken when, from the sky floated down Cruella, but something was different about her, she was like a flying lizard like creature “Now that’s creepy”
Cruella seemed to just screech as straight away, she swooped down to Lucky, to try and claw him, where Lucky had to duck to just avoid the swoop.
“No weapons? Man, this is going to be tough” Lucky said as Cruella was coming back in again for another swoop.
Although, Lucky did get an idea and instead, he jumped onto Cruella’s back, steering her straight into the wall, taking out a bit of her health.
Cruella hissed as she threw Lucky off before flying up to try and swoop down to attack Lucky once again.
Lucky managed to do the same thing, slamming Cruella into the wall again, taking her health down again, but this time, holding on and knocking her into the wall a couple of times in a row, knocking her out cold, although, it didn’t last as she regained consciousness, only to fly straight into the chandler, falling down before the chandler fell down and crushed her.
A door was then seen in the distance, which was now unlocked, which Lucky headed for, heading through it to find himself, on what was suppose to be the farm, but more comprised of data this time, an unfinished level by the looks of it, which this time, Data addressed Lucky personally.
“Okay, I made it to the last level, what’s my test now?” Lucky asked it.
“It’s simple again, defeat me and I will allow you to leave this place, die though, and well…you wont be leaving anytime soon if you do” Data chuckled back as part of its arm changed into a Halo based sword “So, let the final battle commence”
Lucky started to dodge the attacks “Hey! This isn’t fair! I’m unarmed!” although, he was then struck in the chest.
“Oh, how inconsiderate of me, here” Data then handed Lucky a sword “Make use of it”
Lucky was then thrown across the ground, before getting up, some of his health now depleted. He charged at Data before the two weapons clashed.
However, Data had then used another power, much like Dr. Doom’s power to knock Lucky back, holding him there “I never did say I was able to defeated” Data chuckled.
Lucky was dropped “No way…” although, he quickly glanced around before seeing a ripple in the data and dashed for it, jumping in and in a flash of an eye, he was knocked out of the computer.
Lucky gave a quick groan as he then shut down the game and then the computer “Whoa, now that was an intense game…especially with that Data creature…” he said to himself as he then turned and begun to walk off.
Data gave a chuckle “Good, good, you managed to defeat the game, regardless of it being modified, however, that will not save you in the future, you and the rest of the human race will be destroyed sooner or later, I shall guarantee you that” it had said to itself.
The End
Although there was a bit of a storm outside, he wanted to play it regardless, so, without waiting, he loaded up the game and started to play it, pretty much, straight away.
