After the events of Treasure Planet (2002), everything went back to normal in the Hawkins household with one exception: Jim began excelling at his education. About to graduate high school with honors in technology, the young man disappeared on the morning of the graduation ceremony, abducted by a pirate captain and his crew seeking the remains of Treasure Planet. The captain refused to believe that the Loot of a Thousand Worlds had been completely annihilated, and he based this belief upon a certain map obtained from the intergalactic black market. The item was similar to the Treasure Planet map, spherical and shiny, but marked by a peculiar symbol—a large circle with two smaller circles attached. Jim wondered what it could mean.
Jim was the only one able to figure out how to open the orb. The sphere emitted a three-dimensional motion image of the pirate ship itself surrounded by nearby stars and planets. Jim touched the image of the ship, causing it to blink. Then it sped forward to the location of the former Treasure Planet, which had become a mysterious dark cloud. Determined that there was gold and treasure to be had, the captain ordered the crew to sail the ship there despite Jim’s protests. Some obscure text floating around the image of the cloud warned him to keep the map away from the dark cloud, for the existence of something called the “Disneyverse” would be at stake if the orb map was ever lost. However, the illiterate pirate crew refused to believe Jim’s warnings.
John Silver and Morph overheard rumors of the kidnapping and went after the pirates in hope of rescuing the lad. A battle ensued outside the dark cloud. Sensing the proximity of the map, the cloud collapsed into a black hole and sucked the ships inside. Rather than dying however, each character involved in the battle found himself transported to a different movie-verse. When the orb entered the black hole, it set off a chain reaction in the Disneyverse causing portals and wormholes to appear and disappear at random, linking the different movie-verses in ways that were entirely unpredictable. Characters that once lived in a single movie microcosm gradually became aware of the greater macrocosm of the Disneyverse, some falling into other worlds and getting lost.
Unless the orb is recovered the Disneyverse will continue to destabilize and eventually disintegrate, threatening the very existence of the human imagination. The greatest heroes of the Disneyverse are now on a quest to find the orb, but it could be anywhere in the Realms of Disney! Finding a needle in a haystack is a piece of cake compared to this! And that is not the only challenge—there are villains lurking around every corner, seeking out the orb for their own selfish purposes. The Loot of a Thousand Worlds itself still exists, distributed throughout the Realms of Disney. Join the adventure as forces collide in pursuit of treasure and the lost orb.
