Last year and the year before that, I started some rp's based on game shows, and they were all finished quickly. I'd like to start another one of these. This one is based on a syndicated interactive game show called Let's Ask America.
Let's Ask America is where contestants play the game from home via webcam, and they are asked survey questions, with each question having a series of answers to choose from. What the contestants have to do is write down the answer they think is the most popular. Each correct guess adds money to a contestant's score. At the end of each of the first three rounds, the contestant with the lowest score is eliminated with nothing. The game starts off with four contestants, and in the final round, the last contestant remaining must wager some or all of their money on one more question. If they answer that question correctly, they get the wager added to their score; but if they answer that question incorrectly, the wager is deducted from their score. But if that contestant decides to wager all their money, and they answer correctly, their wager is multiplied by five.
Each season of the show has a different scoring. Here's the scoring that will be used in this rp should the idea come through:
Round One
Question 1 - $100
Question 2 - $200
Question 3 - $300
Question 4 - $400
Each question has two answers to choose from.
Round Two
Question 1 - $500
Question 2 - $1,000
Question 3 - $1,500
Each question has three answers to choose from.
Round Three
Question 1 - $2,000
Question 2 - $4,000
Each question has four answers to choose from.
Final Round
Only one question, and it has four answers to choose from.
In the first three rounds, if there's a tie for last place, the tied contestants play a tiebreaker called "Dash For Ca$h". The tied contestants are either told to find a specific object in their home or asked a question with two answers to choose from and find the correct object to answer that question. The tied contestants must search all over their homes for the correct object and show that object on their webcams. The first person to find and show the correct object moves on to the next round.
That's the game. I'll be using Slide as the host on this rp. I need either one, two, or four more people to join. How many characters each person can use depends on how many people decided to join.
One person - four characters
Two people - two characters each
Four people - one character each
Also, each contestant has to be from a different location in the United States.
So, who's interested in joining?
