I have created two threads in this section of the board. The first one is about the three female fans of Thunderbolt, and the second is about Thunderbolt himself. For this thread, well, it's all about Thunderbolt's sidekick on The Thunderbolt Adventure Hour, Lil' Lightning.
Lightning is just one of the few characters from 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure that I actually like, along with Patch and Thunderbolt, and he is one of only a few things good about that movie. He was introduced in this movie, and he wasn't seen or mentioned anywhere else in the 101 Dalmatians franchise before it. I think he's an interesting character, and I'd like to know what his story is before the events that took place in that movie. There's only one problem I have with him, and it is that he was played out as a villain, and in the end, he was removed from the show and carried off by two police dogs. To be honest, when I first heard of this character before the movie was first released, I really thought he was going to be one of the good guys of the movie. Sure, he tricked Thunderbolt out of the show so he could take his place on it, but he did that for a good reason. Thunderbolt paid too much attention to the fame he's gotten and paid very little attention to Lightning, who was supposed to be his "little buddy". Lightning has been jealous of Thunderbolt, and he tried to have him out of the show so he can have the show to himself.
In my continuation of the movie called Patch And Thunderbolt, I had Lightning start out as the main villain, but in the end, I had him change for the better and become a good guy. In the sequel to my continuation called A Girl Worth Fighting For, which I should've had completed a long time ago, Lightning is a good guy all the way through.
So, I really like Lightning. I just don't think he was treated fairly in the movie. I'm hoping that another 101 Dalmatians project will be made and have Lightning featured in it, but not at all as a bad guy. That's something I'd really like to see, but not as the second sequel to the original animated film from 1961; they screwed up enough already with the animated sequel from 2003, and I'm glad they stopped making cheapquels to well-known animated Disney films some time ago.
Now, I will end my post here and allow other people to give their own thoughts on Lil' Lightning.
