Just a little thing that popped into my head... XD Gonna mention babclayman since Kendra is in this... X3
Here it is:
The Dearly Farm... A place full of adventure, fun, occasional conflict, and the majority of the Bark Brigade. One Friday night, four pups sat on the roof of the barn, basking in the luminous night sky covered with billions of white speckles and a gaseous slice in the deep. Above their heads was the enlarged full moon, shining its sunlight-reflecting beams down upon the pups. These four are the four Top Dogs in the Bark Brigade's Cadet Corp.
Tripod is at No. 1 with only three legs and a green sweatband around his head. Tripod works exceptionally hard, always coming out on top in every training session the Bark Brigade has. He shows common courtesy and sportsmanship to his fellow Cadets.
At No. 2 is Lucky. Lucky always lives in Tripod's shadow of glory, always second-best. It is his desire to overcome the seemingly-boundless stamina and endurance of the three-legged Tripod.
The No. 3 and 4 spots are always changing, as these two continue to outshine and beat one another constantly; Kendra and Hyperion. Kendra is a remarkable pup, who also has a unique connection with horses. Her strength and speed combined are a force to be reckoned with. Unwise, one would be to let their guard down around Kendra because of her cute appearance. Hyperion is the likewise, though more handsome than cute. He's always pushing to be better than himself, to aim for the best that he can be and beyond, both physically and mentally. Hyperion also takes time to encourage and aid his fellow cadets to improve.
Lucky itched his ear. "Beautiful night, don't ya think?" He proposed the question, though it lingered in the aura of awkwardness that surrounded them for a short time.
"Yeah, it is..." said Tripod. "We could never get this kind of view in London." The thought of London haunted the Cadets for a while... The memories that filled that city scarred them for the rest of their lives. Two incidents with Cruella DeVil, countless other attempts to be captured again and their brother Patch losing his first love, Priscilla, to a rich well-mannered pup whom Priscilla's mother paired with her.
A thought came to Lucky's mind. "You know..." He muttered. "What if Priscilla ran away and came here? What would we do if her mother, that spotless pup and a whole battalion of angry rich dogs marched up to our farm?"
"That'd be an interesting, and unlikely situation, Lucky." Kendra commented whilst brushing the fur on her head back again. "In that situation, we could form a phalanx like the Athenians at Marathon and the Spartans at Thermopylae during the Persian Wars."
Hyperion rolled his eyes, though he wore an expression on his face that indicates being lost in thought. "Not sure how that would work out... Pretty flat terrain out here." He said. After a short silence, and Kendra nodding her head in agreement, he suggested; "It could work if we formed the phalanx around Priscilla on four sides, or doing the likewise at each of the barn doors with Patch and Priscilla in the barn itself."
"Yeah!" exclaimed Lucky. "Position ourselves in narrow areas, and reinforce the phalanx with multiple rows instead of the regular two rows!"
Tripod's face practically lit up with excitement, and Lucky was grinning deviously in the direction of Kendra and Hyperion. Look at us... Tripod thought. Cadpig would be proud... He shook his head and turned again to the other three. "This situation is highly unlikely, though."
"It was fun while it lasted." Lucky exclaimed. Kendra wound up giggling at that statement, with Hyperion and Tripod following with a duet of laughter.
"So Lucky..." Tripod smirked. "How go things with Rebecca?"
Lucky's face instantly flushed with crimson. "Shut up!" He complained. Hyperion, Kendra, and Tripod burst out laughing, howling practically. "Besides, Two-Tone would kill me if she found out!"
"She's your blood sister." Hyperion commented, tears of joy flooding out of his eyes.
"So?" asked Lucky. "Like it's any better than Atlas wanting to date Penny!"
"At least they're not blood-related!" cried Kendra.
"Hahahah!!!" Tripod howled. "My sides!! Haha!!!"
Lucky's cheeks were practically swelling with blood rushing to the site. He took a deep breath, and calmed down. His fellows ceased their chuckling and giggling.
Hyperion sniffled, and asked, "So what do you think the next Bark Brigade session will consist of?"
Simultaneously from the other pups, he got his reply. "Push-ups." Hyperion looked out into the night sky with a grumpy expression, and his arms folded. Tripod snickered, and Kendra giggled for a moment.
"You walked into that one." She commented with a smile on her face.
"Yeah, I suppose I did..." replied Hyperion. "I wish to get a better time on the Obstacle Course of Unspeakable Pain and Agony..."
"He modified it... Lt. Pug..." Tripod explained. "It's even harder, and we'll feel more of the burn... That means we gotta pump up more! Work harder! Break a swe-"
He was cut off by Lucky. "You are way too pumped up at this hour of the night..." He was complimented by a few laughs from Hyperion and Kendra.
"Well, let's just work even harder tomorrow." Kendra suggested.
"It will be a pleasure. I'm proud to call you guys my fellow Cadets." said Hyperion.
"And we're the Top Four!" Lucky added.
"Right. We're the best of the best. Let's get a good night's rest..." Tripod finished the conversation, and drifted off into a rejuvenating slumber. He was quickly followed by Lucky, Kendra and Hyperion. The Top Four Pups of the Bark Brigade: Tripod, Lucky, Kendra, and Hyperion. Work hard, encourage others, training to be the best they can become.
