Welp, I need to write something... So, Radiant-Templars VS Heartbreakers, the plan is revealed...
--------------------------------------------
Only two short days after Stealth's attack on the Heroes; the Heartbreakers have grown more confident while the Heroes grow restless, anxious, and afraid... Twenty one Heroes and four Templars lay bedridden and exhausted from the events two days ago... The remaining Heroes, Sweethearts, and Radiant-Templars were trying to decide what the Heartbreakers' plan really is... The Heartbreakers know they need to take down all twelve Radiant-Templars: Hyperion, Atlas, Winter, Querida, Arcane, Nicoletta, Nike, Thalia, Amoura, Spirit, Felicity, and Aurora. Atlas is still out-of-commission, and his time in bed was extended. Winter wasn't too badly injured, however she still earned at least a week of recovery time. Spirit escaped practically unscathed compared to the others.
Hyperion was worried, though. He, Thalia, Amoura, Querida, and Spirit are the only able Templars left, at least until the others recover. The Heartbreakers could attack at any moment, and they need to be able to stop a Heartbreaker attack. Temporarily, a few other unharmed Heroes have volunteered to remain on watch in the stead of the recovering Templars. Hyperion grabbed his shield and sword, and stepped outside for a moment. He saw a group of pups, about a dozen of them, wearing the Heartbreaker emblem. They were obviously low-ranked grunts. Hyperion placed his shield on his back and grasped his sword with two hands. Thalia, Spirit, and a few other Heroes left the barn and stood by Hyperion as they charged at the line of Heartbreakers...
Meanwhile, back at the Heartbreaker hideout, Emma and Malinda were rushing around with a bunch of chemicals, ancient books, and medical supplies.
"Grrr... Those Heroes are on the last straws!" Emma growled. She stopped in her pacing and turned to the other major Heartbreakers. "Just remember, that Querida is mine to defeat!"
"Yeah, whatever..." Stealth muttered as she held a bag of ice to her head. She was laying on a makeshift bed so she could rest and heal her wounds. "A lot of blood was shed two days ago, don't you think?"
"In my opinion, there wasn't enough..." snarled Rob. "At least, not enough of Nike's... Tell me you got him at least a few times, right?"
"I kicked him..." Stealth replied. "But no, I didn't even cut him..."
Rob stood up abruptly and towered over Stealth, who only met his dark gaze with her own emotionless stare. "Are you serious?! Jeez, no wonder you lost your Artificial Adrenaline to him..."
"Well, then maybe you should've taken more from him when you had your turn?" Stealth snapped back as Rob turned and began walking away. "But I still don't get it, why do we need a Rusher's Adrenaline?"
"Because..." Diana, Leader of the Heartbreakers responded. "That was a distraction... To make them think that we were going to enhance everyone with Artificial Adrenaline, when in reality... It was a rouse..."
"Then what's the real plan?" Ophelia questioned as she replaced the bandages around her arm. Diana shot a look of sheer anger at Ophelia. Clearly, Diana didn't want to say it just yet, or she's simply trying to avoid saying it for now...
"We have to defeat the Radiant-Templars before we can do anything..." Diana replied. "And once the Templars are out of the picture, the Heroes are left unguarded and vulnerable..."
"And... We have this..." Malinda said as she tore down a curtain hanging in the hideout to reveal a giant crystal with the Heartbreaker emblem emblazoned on it.
"Thanks to Malinda's dark magic and my own scientific genius..." Emma explained. "We've enchanted the crystal. Any Hero within a certain radius will have their energy and magic power drained from them, and stored in this crystal."
Stealth leaned up a bit, supporting herself with her other arm. She had a puzzled expression on her face... "Why can't we use this thing now, against the Radiant-Templars?"
"Didn't you hear Diana?" A soft, but deep voice resonated. The voice of this pup is dangerous, and is highly attractive... Infrarion, Twin Brother to Hyperion. "A certain radius, they have to be in. That also means, we have to be a bit closer to the barn before we can activate it. I know Hyperion and Atlas, they'll sense something of this magical magnitude. Atlas can destroy this thing with one Beam of Emotion." He gestured to the crystal.
"Why can't he sense it now?" Rob asked.
"Because..." Infrarion answered. "I invoked protective marks around the hideout, shielding the crystal's power. Not even Hyperion can detect it. As soon as Emma and Malinda finish their enchantments and supplying the crystal with enough power to keep it sustained, if they haven't finished already, all that's left is to defeat the Radiant-Templars. Just remember-" Infrarion turned his head to Diana. "I want a good seat to watch my brother and everything he's worked to protect fall."
"So with all the power that the crystal has obtained from draining the Heroes..." Thompson said. "We can use it against them, right?"
"Exactly." Emma replied. "The crystal, however, can't completely drain someone of all their magic or energy... However, it keeps it at a minimum. The Heroes will be on the floor, exhausted. They try to replenish their magic, the giant crystal here will just drain it..."
Jenny stepped up to speak. "Anyone wearing the Heartbreaker symbol will be safe from the draining effect, right?"
"That is correct..." Diana replied. She turned to Infrarion and smirked deviously. "Thank you for... 'fetching' this crystal for us."
Infrarion nodded. "If it will help bring my brother down to his knees, then I'll do it..." Rob walked up to Infrarion. The two exchanged suspicious glares, and finally Infrarion stated, "Nike's Adrenaline can speed up the magic-draining process..."
"It can?" Diana asked. She gestured to Malinda, who quickly expelled the remaining Adrenaline energy into the crystal. The crystal's soft whir sped up, and increased slightly in pitch. "It can..."
"We can finally destroy the Heroes..." Fang snarled and smiled grimly.
The Heartbreakers are more dangerous than ever, now... The gang stood in awe watching the crystal softly whir and radiate its magic potential. Infrarion chuckled a bit. Rob turned to him, and thrust his sword into Infrarion's stomach. After withdrawing his blade, Infrarion fell onto one knee. He was approached by Stealth, who slashed her clawed bracer across his face. Malinda invoked a bit of black magic into Infrarion's chest, then moved her hands apart quickly, expanding the magic, causing it to explode out of Infrarion...
"AAAAAAAGGGGHHHH!!!" Infrarion shrieked in torture and emotional pain... He was being betrayed! "Why?! After all I've done for you?!"
The Heartbreakers laughed and smirked at Infrarion at their mercy. Diana grabbed his collar and threw him against the crystal. The Heartbreakers drew their weapons and unleashed a whirlwind of blades upon Infrarion. He was covered in cuts, bruises, and blood... Infrarion stood up, and Diana placed her hand on the crystal, and stood directly in front, and a bit to close, to Infrarion... "You see, you did get us this crystal, and revealed some secrets about the Templars, but we have no further use for you... -Rob?"
"Yes, my love?" Rob smirked.
"Would you be so kind?"
"Absolutely..." The other Heartbreakers looked on pleasantly, with devious smirks on their faces as Rob stepped up to Infrarion and flung his fist across the pup's face. Infrarion fell to the floor, unconscious. Rob lifted his body and tossed him out of the Heartbreakers' hideout, along with Infrarion's crucifix sword and cruciform shield. Even though they're enemies, Hyperion and Infrarion share a Class, abilities, and their weapons are identical.
When he awoke, Infrarion was lying in the mud, out in the rain at some hour of the evening. He stood up, and shook himself around to expel the mud from his fur. He sheathed his sword on his back and hooked the shield onto his back as well. With a massive wound on his left arm from Stealth, burns across his body from Ophelia, bruises and bloody scratches from Malinda and Jenny, scars and bleeding wounds from Diana, sword wounds on his back from Rob, vicious bite marks from Fang, and frostbite on his right leg from Emma, Infrarion limped his way to the barn... He saw small patches of blood, a bit of ice, scorched grass, the remnants of a magic circle, and a black spot where lightning struck litter an area in front of the barn. It was evident that a battle took place, and the Heroes took the victory. Infrarion approached the barn, and opened the door. All of the pups inside turned their attention towards the injured Infrarion, holding his side with his right arm whilst leaning against the door with his left. He glared up, and with one barely-opened eye he muttered, "Hey, everyone... Is it too late to redeem myself?"
With that, Infrarion collapsed and drifted into unconsciousness. Hyperion approached the resting body of his twin brother and stared with confusion, worry, and astonishment. Hyperion lifted the body of his brother and gently laid him on a makeshift bed of hay stacks. No one questioned it. They all knew, and Hyperion knew, that the Heartbreakers had done this, and they must've had a pretty compelling reason, since Infrarion was allied with them.
"Oh, Infrarion..." Hyperion muttered. "What have they done to you?"
