Well, recently, Illumination confirmed that the Mario movie is a go. They say if everything goes well, it may be finished by 2020, but I don’t see it coming until 2021 at the earliest. Illumination already has two films planned for 2020, so if the Mario movie does come that year, that means one or both of those said films will have to be delayed.

I'm looking forward to Wes Anderson's 'Isle Of Dogs'. I love how the traditional stop-motion quality is really kept in the way the fur moves, etc. Laika films such as 'Kubo', you can't always tell they're stop-mo because they're so - too - smoothly animated. Still pleased that any stop-motion films make it to the big screen! Now if only more 2D hand-drawn could...
Having said that, I'm not too fussed about seeing 'Early Man' at the moment; that particular Aardman character design is a little bit of a switch off for me.

We got a nw Trailer, for Incredibles II, Pups! It air at the Winter Olympics! We get more of an idea of the Story, in this one. With some one hopng to leglise Supers again, Helen becoming the more active Super of the Family, Robert needs to wtch the Children, just about the time Jack-Jack's Power's develop! Sounds like an intriguing idea, for the Story, and you can definately see how the Animation Style has developd since the twelve or so years, since the frst Film, Eh? www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ncj6Aj5drK8The Film is looking good, though. What you think of the Trailers, Pups!?

Tomorrow we are getting the Aardman film Early Man.
It's Rotten Tomatoes score is at 83%. The critics' consensus is:
Early Man isn't quite as evolved as Aardman's best work, but still retains the unique visuals and sweet humor that have made the studio a favorite among animation enthusiasts.
Looks like a good one to start the year.

I saw the new trailer for Incredibles 2! I could be wrong, but the characters in this movie look like they are slightly older than they were in the first film. I think that’s a very clever thing Pixar is doing!

I saw a trailer for How to Train Your Dragon 3. Honestly, I think the movie looks cute and fascinating. I think this one is going to be the best of the trilogy.
I just posted my trailer reaction to it on Stardust. Those of you who have Stardust or want to get it, if you want to see my trailer reactions, you’re more than welcome to follow me on there. My username is BlueIceDog.

Got some updates on The Secret Life of Pets 2!
As of right now, the tentative release date is June 7 of next year.
As far as the cast goes, Patton Oswalt will be the new voice of Max. Seems like a good choice. As for the rest of the cast: Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Dana Carvey, Jenny Slate, Lake Ball, Hannibal Buress, Bobby Moynihan and Ellie Kemper will all be reprising their roles as Duke, Snowball, Pops, Gidget, Chloe, Buddy, Mel and Katie respectively. It also appears that Harrison Ford shall be in the cast too! Though no word on who he will be voicing yet.
Seems exciting. What do you think, pups?

Just saw AniMatt’s podcast for this week, and two new animated films were just announced!
First of all, Warner Bros. has just announced that they are making a Wile E. Coyote movie. I find that kind of strange because two years ago, I heard that a Speedy Gonzalez movie is in the works. I guess that must be Warner Bros.’s new trend: making feature films based on each one of the Looney Tunes individually.
Second, we are also getting...brace yourselves...NORM OF THE NORTH 2!!!!! I am not kidding! There is a trailer out right now, albeit not in English, but still...WHO THE FRIDGE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GOID IDEA TO MAKE A SEQUEL TO ONE OF THE MOST HATED ANINATED FILMS EVER MADE??? And don’t tell me it’s to make money; even the first one made hardly anything! While I don’t know what to expect out of this movie or when it’s coming out, but whoever wrote this sequel, I hope they get fired!

While I don’t know what to expect out of this movie or when it’s coming out, but whoever wrote this sequel, I hope they get fired! I highly doubt that they would, they would have to make the worse movie than Super Mario Bros or Norm of the North in order for that to happen, when you say I hope they get fired, it reminds me of a film where it bombed so hard, that the Director was fired. But the reason I say this, is look it up, there's probably some people that actually enjoy Norm of the North film, I did some more research on Super Mario Bros. Live Action Film and despite the Negative Reviews to the point that Nintendo doesn't want to discuss it, there is a cult following to the film where people actually enjoyed it. What this means is, chances are, that Norm of the North may have a Cult following of it's own, guaranteeing a Sequel. But Let me ask you this, where is the source about the sequel to Norm of the North? I mean take my opinion into consideration, but keep in mind, that this could be nothing more than just a rumor.

Lucky: If you read my post carefully enough, you will see that I stated that it’s in the Podcast that AniMatt just uploaded today. He even showed the trailer for it and proved that there are trailers for it up on YouTube. Although, none of them are in English, so it is likely it may not get a US release.

I’m starting to grow a little concerned. Supposedly, this coming June, we are getting a sequel to The Secret Life of Pets. IMDb confirms this as of today. However, that’s only 7 months away, and I have yet to see any trailers pop up anywhere. Heck, there isn’t even a poster for it to be found anywhere! I’m starting to grow concerned that maybe Illumination might decide to cancel it or at the very least postpone it. I’d hate for either of those to happen, because I’ve been waiting for this sequel since it was announced. I know many critics consider The Secret Life of Pets to be a very weak film, but it still has a very strong cult following. I mean, it’s about dogs, and who doesn’t love dogs? Well, hopefully I’ll see a trailer (or at least a poster) when I go see The Grinch this month.
