I'd like to point out that my last fic, A Nightmare Reborn, was canceled, and nothing in it, including Volkner's death should be considered canon to the rest of the fics.
Chapter 1
In an unknown laboratory in the middle of an unknown desert, scientists and researchers hustled around in the bland silver clad room. Test tubes, and tools that looked more like instruments of torture lined tables and the smell of toxic chemicals filled the air. In the middle of the room, there was a large, round, glass container, attached to the ceiling and floor. It was filled with a pink fluid and floating in it was a dalmation. His ears were black, and a small spot was between his eyes. There was a large spot on his back, and very few on his arms and legs. Codename “C.R.E.E.D.” ; the dog opened it’s eyes, showing his green pupils. His face showed almost no emotion. He began to look around, and noticed he was trapped inside this glass container. Angered, he rammed the glass, and it cracked in a spider web pattern. Slowly, the cracks spread until the glass shattered and the fluid flooded the floor.
“So, you’ve finally woken up….perhaps I shouldn’t have given you such strength…” said a scientist in a white lab coat. He was a Caucasian male with long chestnut hair, brown eyes and wore a small set of glasses.
“What’s going on? Where am I?” the dog thought looking around the room.
“We lost the original during the process but to see that this worked, after the changes we made to his genetics…. Amazing.” Said the scientist with a chuckle.
“Am I…but a mere experiment to you?... I have no use for these fools… To them I am but a spurious copy.” The dog thought. He gave an angry growl, catching the man’s attention. As the man began to back away, he pounced onto him, and bit into his jugular. The other researchers watched in awe as their own creation tore through his flesh, spilling his blood and killing him in mere seconds. The dog went on a rampage, killing all who did not escape his wrath. He crawled into a chair in front of a large computer screen, and with his super intelligence, bestowed upon him by the researchers when reconfiguring the clone’s D.N.A., began tapping away at the keys looking for answers to who… or what he was. The screen read:
Project No. 616 Codename: C.R.E.E.D.
Specimen: Dalamtion, male, unknown age Goal: Clone
Further information:
Original animal was lost. Gene manipulation successful. Project uses 50% more muscles than original. Project uses 30% more of the brain than original.
Original specimen lost in the process
FURTHER INFORMATION CLASSAFIED. PLEASE INPUT PASSWORD: ___________
The dog began to think, pondering what he could possibly do to get in. He hopped down from the chair and paced around the bloody, corpse ridden room. Eventually, he returned to the chair.

Hmm…” he hummed while tapping a nail on the table.

“d**n!” He said, slamming his paw on the keyboard, pressing a key with a large red star on it.
Sirens began to sound, and red lights flashed everywhere. A computerized voice echoed through the building “Self destruct sequence activated. Please leave the facility ASAP. Self destruct sequence will officially activate in 30 seconds”
The dog fled the room, running through corridors just as bland and silver clad as the room he just left. He had no idea which way was out, but he kept running.
“Self destruct sequence initiated. 5:00 remain.”
He began to speed up, pushing his body beyond normal limits. He was running at speeds not normally capable by any canine. Eventually, he came upon a door with a large green exit sign above it… but it was locked, and a keypad was next to the door.
“2:00 minutes remain. Please evacuate immediately.”
He pushed a crate under the keypad next to the door and hoped onto it. Naturally, his first try was “616”. To his surprise the blinking red light on the keypad turned green, and the door slid open. He ran out the door quickly, and began to wander the deseert Without a purpose. Without a plan. He was just wandering the earth without a clue what he was or what his purpose could be. A good half a mile away, the laboratory exploded, the mushroom cloud it created seen in the distance. Shockwaves shook the dog’s body, and a rushing wind blew through his fur. He had already seen what he could do, and realized his power. With power comes greed, and a lust for more power…

Chapter 2
Volkner was lying around outside the barn in the grass, bored yet again. It was a rather sunny day, bright and warm. He let out a sigh, before stating “I’m bored… nothing ever happens anymore…”
His sister, Amaranth instantly grabbed his muzzle. “Don’t you say that, don’t you EVER say that! Every time you say that, something cataclysmic happens, and we have to take care of it, SO JUST SHUT UP!” she said in a panic.
“Wow….” said Candi who was sitting close by.
“Where is Fay?” Amaranth asked curiously.
“Yeah, about that… me and Fay aren’t really seeing eye to eye right now….” Volkner said reluctantly.
“That girl is the only girl friend you’ve ever had, and way things seem to be, probably the only one you ever will have. I suggest you go fix it…” Amaranth advised, lying down and crossing her front paws.
“It isn’t that easy, sis.. it’s… it’s complicated, alright!”
“Pft! Yeah right…. You probably just said something wrong… as usual.”
“I DID NOT!”
“Then what DID happen?”
“Um… stuff….”
Holly, though sitting nearby, wasn’t really paying attention, and did not notice the quarrelling. She was deaf, after all, her lessons from Volkner, however, had paid off. She was quite capable of reading lips, for the most part. She sometimes misses a few words, but it’s a lot easier to get your point across to her than it once was.
Nuke had been eavesdropping, and came over to join in the conver-… scratch that, to annoy the hell out of Volkner.
“Girl troubles? There’s always Holly!” Nuke joked.
“GROSS, DUDE!” Volkner exclaimed.
“Nuke, you sicko…. They’re practically related at this point!” Candi replied.
Meanwhile, in a structure eerily similar to the one in the desert that was resting on top of a large mountain, a black female dog with blue eyes, white paws, white fur on her chest, and about 3 white spots o her right hip sat on a cold metal table. The floor was white tile, and the lights were very bright. You could easily tell by the surroundings that the room was for medical purposes.
“Ok, Luci, just one more…” said a researcher as he stuck a needle in her side, and injected a blue fluid.
“Yeah, that’s it, walk out so I can break out of this metal hell….” Luci said as the man exited the room.
“Sucker….” She chuckled hopping off the table and walking out of the room, “Now how do I get out of here?” she thought as she wandered the halls. She was looking around, but not really paying attention when she bumped into someone’s legs.
“Hello there!” said a sharp dressed woman with blonde hair and blue eyes. She picked up the young dog and looked at a small tag on her ear. “No. 666 …. You can’t be out, bad dog…” spoke the woman as she began to tote the dog back.
Luci began panting and furiously wagging her tail. The woman giggled and lifted her up to her face. “Aren’t you cute?” she said just before the pant turned to a growl. Luci bit her in the nose, and the woman screamed, and dropped her. She immediately began running away to search for an exit.
It took a while, but she finally found a large door with a keypad next to it. She let out a gleeful yelp and began jumping at the keypad, trying to reach it. She eventually became unnerved and started growling at it. She jumped one last time and dug her claws into the device. Rather than figure out a combination, she just busted it. The door slid open and she ran off the freedom. It was cold on top of the mountain, and she began to shiver as she looked around.
“Cold?” a dark voice called. It was Creed, who approached rather slowly. “She’s just like me… an experiment…” He thought to himself.
“Who are you?” Luci replied.”
“My name is Creed…. Well… as far as I know…. I’m like you… an experiment.”
“Oh… I’m Luci.”
“So, what’d they do to you? Super strength? Telepathy? Element manipulation?”
“huh?”
“Never mind…. Well, come on, we’ve got work to do…”
“Huh? Work? What are you talking about?”
“Just come with me.”
“Oh….okay…I guess….”

Yeah, Cept I mispelled Dalmatian about 5 times. lol
Chapter 3
Creed and Luci weren’t even a mile away from the lab, when Creed realized something. He stopped in his tracks, and Luci who was following behind him bumped into him and fell over in the snow.
“What time do they usually shut down that lab?” Creed asked.
“Usually around ten PM… Why?” Luci replied.
“You were created just like me, and all your information is in their computer. Let’s go back and wait for them t shut down. Then we can break in, and get your information.”
“What kind of information? I’m Luci, and I’m 19 and female…. What else is there to know?”
“You may be surprised…”
“Also single!” Luci said with a wink.”
“Ok….”
Luci gave a grunt when he just turned away. They headed back up to the lab to wait for nightfall.
Back on the farm, Volkner sat next to a broken down red truck from the 60’s. It had no wheels or an engine. Just a red, rusted shell. He was looking into a beautiful orange sunset, a look of pensiveness on his face. A small breeze began to blow, and the charm around his neck blew around a bit.
“Alright, what’s bothering you?” Amaranth said, lying on the hood of the truck.
“You scared me… I didn’t know you were there, sis…”
“Yeah, whatever, something is on your mind, I can tell.”
“……”
“Spill it, Volk!”
Volkner held his silence and bowed his head. Then he returned to looking at the sunset. “You wouldn’t understand…” He said closing his eyes.
“Is it Fay? I saw you two breaking up coming from a mile away.”
Volkner gave an annoyed grunt as he lied down in the grass. “I thought you were trying to help?” He said giving her a strange look.
Amaranth giggles, and jumped down from the hood. “You live on a farm with well over a hundred Dalmatians. I’m sure you can find SOMEONE else…”
“I don-“
“Don’t give me that “I don’t want anyone else” bull crap!... Look… girls are going to come and go for you, just like guys for me, but-“
“Wait a minute, hold on! I’ve never even seen a guy pass you a glance!” Volkner laughed.
“…..Volkner,… ugh … Sometimes I want to hug your neck, other times I want to strangle it….”
“You’re my sister, isn’t that normal?”
“Whatever….” Amaranth said walking off.
Night fell quickly, and soon, the lab shut down, and the staff left. A stack of boxes was stacked next to a window in the back. Creed hopped up the boxes and broke through the window, and Luci followed close behind.
“They could’ve turned off these lights… it’s too bright…” Creed said, wincing his eyes.
“Does this lab look like the one you came from?” Luci asked.
“Almost identical… I’ll bet it’s built the same… follow me.” Creed said, as he ran through the corridors searching for the main lab.
“You mean like I’ve been doing for the last 6 hours? I think I can handle it.” Luci joked.
They stumbled onto a huge double door. A motion sensor picked up a presence, and the doors opened, revealing a lab almost exactly like the other one. Creed ran to the main computer and jumped into the chair. He hit a few keys, and her information came up, just like his.
Project No. 666 Codename: [INFORMATION CLASSIFIED]
Name: Luci Specimen: Female Dalmatian, age 19
Side Notes: Strange Negative fur pattern.
Further Information
[INFORMATION CLASSIFIED]
“Hm… it’s a bit different from the other system… but it’s pretty similar. I’m not getting what I need from this… we’ll have to go deeper into the system.” Creed said tapping a nail impatiently. He tapped a few keys a text box appeared. At a loss for ideas, he didn’t know what to type.
“Did you hear anything that could be of importance while you were here?” Creed asked.
“Um… I don’t really know. I heard some of the head researchers mentioning something about “Amr…um…Arma…ged…….Armageedun?” she mispronounced.
“Armageddon?”
“Yeah! That!”
“Interesting….” Creed said as his typed “Armageddon” in the text box.
“Bingo...hehehe” Creed laughed as a second page with deeper information appeared.
Project No. 666 Codename: A.R.M.A.G.E.D.D.O.N.
Name: Luci Specimen: Female Dalmatian, age 19
Side Notes: Strange Negative fur pattern.
Further Information
Specimen proved capable of telekinetics and pyrokinetics in it’s early stages of creation. Specimen also seems to have forgotten about these abilities, or lost to have lost them over time. She has not tried to use them since she was a puppy years ago.
Warning: Specimen opens black gate.
“Black gate?” Creed spoke aloud.
“What?” Luci asked, cocking her head to the side.
“Nothing… I was thinking out loud, that’s all.” Creed replied. He brought up a search, and typed “Black Gate”. The page changed again, with the exact information he had searched for. Luci could not see the screen in her position, and still had no idea what Creed had read.
The “Black gate” is an inter-dimensional gate that project No. 001 is locked behind. The black gate should not be opened. Project No. 001was a failure, and was too powerful. In the case this gate is opened, open the White Gate. The project No. 666, A.R.M.A.G.E.D.D.O.N. is necessary to open this gate.
The words “White Gate” were blue, and a clickable link. Creed clicked the text, taking to another page.
The “White Gate” is an inter-dimensional gate much like the “Black Gate” Project N0. 002 was created and held behind this gate purposely, not because it was too dangerous, but to be released in the case that the black gate should ever be opened. Project No. 777, E.D.E.N. is needed to open the gate.
“Find something interesting?” Luci asked curiously.
“Not a thing… let’s get out of here…” Creed said closing the screens and jumping down from the computer.

Great work, supergamecube. ^^ This fic is becoming even more interesting with each chapter.
Sorry I didn't review chapter 2, but it was great as well. Loved seeing the interactions between Volkner and Nuke and Volkner and his sister. ^^
I do hope nothing serious is coming in between Fay and Volkner, though. I'd hate to see those two break up...

Time will tell, Raiden. ( I just noticed, it censored c ocking to thingying XD )
Chapter 4
Morning came, and Volkner got up just before sunrise to go for his morning walk, as always. As he nudged the barn door open, he gave a yawn and stretched. He was walking around the outskirts of the farm, the sun barely risen in the sky when he heard a familiar English accent , “Remember me?”
“Of course… I remember all the weirdos I meet!” Volkner laughed.
Eisenheim gave a shot chuckle before he came out of hiding, appearing in front of Volkner from thin air.
“You’ve gotten good at that…” Volkner commented.
“Thank you…. And how’s that sister of your’s?”
“Amaranth? She’s good.”
“…hmm…. The lovely Amaranth… she’s a fine peice of-“
“DON’T YOU DARE FINISH THAT SENTENCE!”
“What? I was going to say work….”
“Oh…..”
“I see your mind is still in the gutter, old friend.”
“Yeah, whatever…. Well, I’ll see you around. I gotta get goin’”
“Ok then, Volkner…. Now you see me…” said Eisenheim before he disappeared.
In a small cave, just big enough for the dog’s to fit into, Creed woke up with a yawn. He poked Luci’s shoulder telling her to get up but she didn’t respond. Annoyed, he punched her in the arm. She was barely phased, and wrapped her forearms around his neck and drew him in.
“5 more minutes…” she murmured.
“Let go of me!” Creed complaining struggling to get away. While he was struggling, she woke up.
“Good morning!” Luci exclaimed.
“Get…off…of…me….”
“Awww, why? You so cute, and soft and-“
“I AM NOT CUTE!!!” Creed yelled as he loosened her grip and walked outside.
“Yeah, whatever…..” Luci said and she stood to her feet and stretched.
“We need to find another experiment like us… No. 777….” Creed informed Luci.
“Why?”
“Her code name was E.D.E.N. , and she is the key to the “White Gate” ”
“White Gate? Sounds pretty…”
“Yeah, well it’s getting in the way of my plans…. If it’s opened, we can’t open the “Black Gate”.”
“Who do we need to open that one?”
“….I don’t know.”
“Oh… what’s behind it?”
“…I… don’t know….” Creed said. He knew he was lying to her, but he had to keep it a secret for now.
“Then why do you want to open it?”
“JUST SHUT UP, OKAY?!”
“…..i’m sorry…” Luci whined.
On the farm, Volkner was lying outide the barn with the gang, as usual. Dirge approached him from behind, and he did not notice.
“Boo….” He said as Volkner jumped to his feet.
“Hehe…. Long time no see, kid.”
“…..what’s going on this time?...you don’t just pay visits, Dirge, what happened?” Volkner asked.
“ A couple of genetic experiments escaped in the area… I heard about it yesterday.”
“You see, Volkner?! You couldn’t just be satisfied! You had to be bored again! THINGS HAPPEN WHEN YOU ARE BORED!” Amaranth complained.

Chapter 5
“We have to wait for nightfall again… we need more information….” Creed said looking up the mountain at the lab.
“So, what are you gonna do with…um… “E.D.E.N.” when we find it?” Luci asked.
“Do we have a choice?... We’ll most likely have to kill it.”
“Oh….”
“Do you have a problem with that?”
“Oh, no… not really”
“Good.”
“Where are these gates anyway?”
“I don’t know…. We’ll just have to find them.”
Back on the farm, Dirge explained to everyone how he’d heard of the two genetic experiments escaped. His brother, Requiem, came from a long ways to tell him.
A brown eyed Dalmatian approached as he was introduced. He had no distinguishing features worth noting.
“…this time I’ve gotten a little… extra help.” Dirge said, “This is Drake.”
“Now, as many times as I’ve requested your help, I’m sure you know how to get through the woods on your own. My brother is on the other side. He’ll tell you what you need to know.” Dirge said as he walked off.
“Umm.., hi.” Volkner said.
“Hello…” Drake replied.
“I don’t know if Dirge told you, but I’m Volkner. This is Candi, Nuke, Holly and Amaranth. Holly is deaf, so she can’t hear you, but she can read lips decently.”
“Alright… shall we take our leave?” Drake asked, examining one of his claws.
“I suppose so.” Volkner replied. They all headed out for the woods beyond the farm. This time of the year, it didn’t look quite as big but it was still a giant maze in actuality. It was a much prettier sight, however since the trees were all blooming.
Just as they were entering the forest, Fay came running towards them from behind. “Volkner!” she exclaimed as she approached.
“Volkner… I… heard you were leaving again…”
“And what would you care anyway?” Volkner replied in a harsh tone.
“Volkner… I know I was stupid….but…”
“I don’t need this right now, ok…” Volkner said as the party continued.
“Ok, that’s it dude, I HAVE to know what happened!!! It’s driving me NUTS!” Nuke screamed.
“…..sorry… it’s none of your business… nothing personal.” Volkner said, taking the lead.
It was almost dusk, and they were still wandering the mazelike forest.
“Just face it Volkner, you’re lost… again…” Amaranth said putting a paw to her forehead.
“We are not lost ok!... we’re just…location impaired!”
“Guys… I hear something!” Drake commented.
A Dalmatian with a blood stained coat and spots that looked almost like dark drops of blood jumped from the brush, tackling Drake to the ground. He began growling viciously, preparing to bite him in the neck. Volkner pounced onto him and knocked him off of Drake.
“Congratulations, you owe me!” Volkner teased.
Another dog jumped down from a tree, headed for Volkner.
“Look out!” Drake yelled jumping above Volkner. He swiped his claws across the dog’s face, and she fell to the ground, and rolled a bit. She had black paws, a black tail and black ears. Besides a few normal spots here a there, her right hip features a spot that looks like a skull, and her right foreleg is bloodstained, like the other dog’s entire coat.
“And THAT makes us even!” Drake said.
A brown wolf with eerie yellow eyes jumped onto the scene and picked up carnage by the neck, throwing back into the brush he jumped from.
“Cyra! Let’s go! We can’t take them no… your days are numbered…. Drake Hellsing….” The male dog said as he retreated.
“Right. You aren’t hurt, are you, Carnage?” Cyra asked.
“Of course not! How could you ask such a pointless question.”

Chapter 6
“Are you all okay?” The wolf asked.
“I’m fine… are you Dirge’s brother?” Volkner asked.
“Yes… Requiem. I’m going to show you the way to a lab near here… my son claims to have found another… There may be some useful information to fid around them. We don’t really know what happened to the escaped projects.”
“What exactly ARE the projects?” Nuke asked.
“Well… most say they are canine… I’ve heard a few rumors, but…”
Amaranth thought for a moment before asking, “Were they captured and then used as experiments?...or?”
“Look, I don’t have all the answers, otherwise, we wouldn’t be looking for them.”
Requiem lead them out of the woods, and night fell as they walked a large green pasture. “We’ll stop here for tonight...” Requiem said.
“Here? In the open?” Nuke exclaimed.
“Shut up! It’s not like these experiments are goin’ on a killin’ spree!” Drake said.
“Oh yeah? And how would YOU know? What about those two that attacked us in the woods? They were after YOU! I say we leave this guy in the dust! It’s HIM they’re after, not us! He’s endangering us all!” Nuke complained.
“Nuke, just shut your muzzle for once…” Amaranth said with a paw on her forehead.
A few miles away, Creed and Luci headed back into the lab. Creed was again sitting in the chair at the computer screen, while Luci was looking up from the floor. From her view, the screen was just a bright light. “Let’s see…. Project E.D.E.N. …” Creed murmured as he typed. With a few clicks of the mouse, he found what he was looking for.
Project E.D.E.N. was given the name “Faith” at first. For an unknown reason, they changed her name to Fay. She went missing a few months ago, and her current location is unknown. Subject has no abnormalities, and should not be considered a threat.
Heh… this is gonna be a piece of cake…” Creed said hopping down from the chair.
“Find what you needed?” Luci asked.
“Yeah… this should be a synch if we can just find her….” Creed said walking out of the room as Luci followed behind him. As they walked the brightly lit hallways, Luci had a look of thought on her face.
“Creed… we were both made the same way… well, as far as I know. And we are both very different but we…share a lot in common… don’t you feel like we have some sort of strange connection?” Luci said shyly.
“………………..nope” Creed replied as he entered the room with the shattered window and jumped out.
On the farm, Fay was lying on a stack of hay in the barn. She couldn’t sleep no matter how hard she tried. A male dalamatian approached the haystack. He had lots of small and large spots all over, especially around his face, and paws. In total, there were 30 spots on his body. He was a bit of a player, and easily falls for anything that’s canine and female.
“What’s wrong, beautiful?” He asked.
“Go away, Luke! I never want to see you again…” Fay said as a tear rolled down her cheek.
“That isn’t what you said last week!” Luke replied with a laugh.
“I was stupid, Luke! That was the dumbest thing I’ve EVER done! It cost me a lot, so just go away!”
“Don’t tell me you miss that loser… Volkner?”
Fay growled a bit before standing up and swiping her right paw across his face. With a yelp he held his left eyes, and a bit a blood seeped through his toes. He gave a grunt as he jumped off the haystack and left.
The next morning, Volkner and the others got a rude awakening from Requiem.
“Come on, all of you, up! We’ve got work to do!” Requiem said shaking them individually. Everyone was up except for Holly and Nuke. Holly was a heavy sleeper in the first place, combined with her being deaf… it made it hard to get her up sometimes. Nuke…. Well, Nuke is just lazy. Amaranth shook Holly for a few minutes until she finally woke up. She gave a yawn as she stood up and stretched.
“Nuke get up!” Volkner said jabbing Nuke in his ribs.
“Five more minutes mom….” Nuke murmured.
“I SAID WAKE UP!!!” Volkner quipped as Nuke jumped to his feet.
“…You could’ve just, like, shook me or something ya know!” Nuke said.
“…wheres the fun in that?” Volkner replied.
After leading them a few more miles through the field, they came upon a mountain. It wasn’t too tall, but it was still big. There was snow at the top of it.
“I’m old, and weak… I’ll only slow you down. I’ll wait here.” Requiem said, as he laid down.
About half way up,,,,,, Creed and Luci were heading down, when Luci stopped Creed.
“Look! Who are they?” she asked.
“It doesn’t matter… they’ll only be corpses when we’re through with them.
“You’re…going to kill them?”
“If they try and stop me, yes… do you… have a problem with that?” Creed asked.
“Oh! No… I’ll fight right by your side if I have to…” Luci replied.

Chapter 7
Creed and Luci began further down the mountain. They were close enough to hear what the others were saying, and decided to eavesdrop.
Volkner and the others started up the mountain. Amaranth rushed in front of the others to get to Volkner, who was leading the way.
“Look, I know this isn’t exactly the greatest time, but why don’t you just tell me what happened with Fay?!” She asked. Volkner stopped in his tracks and shot her a glance. She immediately backed off. “Sorry…” she said sadly.
“Did that girl just say…Fay?” Creed asked.
“I think so, why?” Luci replied.
“Project E.D.E.N. … her name is Fay. Ok, it’s final. We won’t kill them. We’ll befriend them and they can take us to her.”
Creed and Luci dashed down the mountain and not far from the bottom came in contact with Volkner and the others.
“Sorry if I was eavesdropping, but did you say “Fay” ?” Creed asked.
“Who wants to know?” Volkner replied.
“Fay is the name of an escaped project. She got out a few years ago. Those two other projects are searching for her… and it won’t be a good thing if she’s found.”
“And how do you know all this stuff?”
“Me and Luci here broke into that lab at night and got some information. We HAVE to find Fay before they do. My name’s Creed.”
“Oh, this is just WONDERFUL!” Volkner Complained heading back down. “I don’t guess we have a choice but to trust them…”
“You’ll have to excuse my brother… his name’s Volkner. You see, Fay is his Ma-..um.. ex mate and they’ve been kinda fighting… not the best time.” Amaranth said.
“It’s fine. We’d better catch up before your brother leaves us, umm…”
“Amaranth.”
“Amaranth…”
When they all reached the bottom, Requiem met them with a surprised look on his face. “My! Back already?!” he laughed.
“Yeah… these two beat us to the job. They gave us some info, and we’d better head back to the farm. Someone named Fay is there and she might be in danger.” Drake informed him.
“C’mon, Volk! Can’t ya just make up?! You know you wanna! Just go up and give a big ol’ kiss!” Nuke said laughing. Volkner backhanded him in the jaw and he fell over backwards.
“Ow…” Nuke murmured.
They arrived at the farm by nightfall and giving a yawn, Volkner said “Let’s do this in the morning…”
“That’s fine.” Creed said as they all went their separate ways.
“That idiot… Can you believe him?! He brought us right to her!” creed laughed.
“He’ll probably come to save her, you know?” Luci said.
“They’re mad with each other! Why would he care now?!”
“Because, I can tell he has a strong sense of justice… Isn’t it kinda romantic though?” Luci giggled.
“………no.”
“Pfft! You wouldn’t know romance if it bit you!”
“Good, I don’t want to.”
Luci’s ears dropped a bit as she stood and followed his lead.
It was late at night, and Volkner was sleeping on top of the old rusted truck from before. A noise woke him up, and he stood up and yawned as he stretched. He heard it again… it was like a distant scream or cry for help. He rushed to the barn where he ran into Drake and Nuke.
“It woke you too, huh?” Drake asked.
“Holy crap, something woke up Nuke…” Volkner commented.
“Aw, shut up!” Nuke replied.
“Where’s it coming from?” Volkner asked.
“It sounded like it was coming from the barn, but… it’s stopped.” Drake replied.
“I wonder who it….. CREED! I knew we shouldn’t have trusted him… I’ll tear him apart!” Volkner said running around the barn to the back side.
“Volkner, wait!” Drake said following behind him.
“Hey, how come you guys always ditch ME?!” Nuke said as he followed also.

Chapter 8
“Shut your mouth! … Now… I’m gonna make this as painless as possible…” Creed said, Fay shaking in fear in front of him.
“I should’ve known better than to trust you!” Volkner said with a growl.
“Oh well, looks like you caught me… I’ll just kill you both.”
“It won’t be quite so easy…” Drake said coming from around the corner.
“Yeah, you’ve got more than just Volk to go through!” Nuke added as he too came around the corner of the barn.
“Creed… let me fight them first. I don’t know what you’re planning, but… if you die, the task can’t be completed.” Luci said.
“No, Luci, without YOU I can’t complete the task.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll come back alive anyway!” Luci replied stepping forward. She stared at Volkner, at first blankly but then aggressively. She charged at Volkner, and swiped her right paw at him. He dodged it, and a barrage of attacks that followed. With one last swing she caught the corner of his eye and cut him across his cheek. Still he did not retaliate.
“What’s wrong with?!” Luci asked.
“Sorry… you may be my enemy, but… I don’t hit girls…”
“BUT I DO!” Amaranth yelled tackling her from the side.
“Where’d you come from?!” Volkner asked.
“You guys woke me up… good thing you did.”
“I can’t take this anymore… I’m going to end this now.” Creed said as he slowly walked towards Volkner. He simply stood in front of him without a word. He glanced over at Luci, who was wincing on the ground. “Are you okay?” He asked.
“Yeah… I’ll be fine…” she replied with a cough.
“Good…” He said turning his attention back to Volkner. He grabbed him by the throat and lifted him into the air. His grip tightened around Volkner’s neck as he gasped for air. He was sensing something fast approaching, and in a split second reached out with his free paw and grabbed Nuke, who had tried to jump him from the side, by the leg and threw him to the ground.
“You’re all pathetic…” Creed said throwing Volkner at his sister. He collided with her, and they both fell to the ground.
“I’ve finally got you, Hellsing!” a dark voice called as carnage closed in on Drake.
“Luci! Quick! While they’re distracted!” Creed said, hitting Fay in the back of the head, knocking her unconscious. He picked her up onto his back and ran off.
Carnage pinned Drake to the ground, and was again tackled off by Volkner. “Nuke!” Drake yelled as Cyra closed in on Nuke from behind. Amaranth jumped over him and swiped a claw across Cyra’s face, and she flinched for a moment, but quickly recovered.
Cyra’s eyes began glowing a sickly green color and the white in her eyes were engulfed in a cloudy darkness. A dark spirit began rising out of her and swiftly entered Amaranth’s body. Amaranth’s eyes began a glowing eerie black, and her face was emotionless. She turned towards Nuke. She raised her paw towards him and a blackish purple energy shot out from her and sent Nuke flying. He landed in the dirt and rolled a bit. He gave a few coughs before standing back to his feet. “What’s happening?!” Nuke yelled in frustration.
“We have no business with the rest of you! As much pleasure as I’d derive from spilling all of your blood on the ground, We’ll let you all go… if you give us Drake…” Carnage said.
“Just do it! Go after Fay! My death is nothing compared to the loss of many!” Drake said.
“I can’t do that, Drake… I don’t leave comrades behind.” Volkner replied.

another short one...
Chapter 9
“…Fine… I’ll just have to take you all down” Carnage said as he charged towards Drake with a ferocious growl. Just as he pounced, a transparent blur appeared in front of Drake, and it quickly formed into a canine – Eisenheim, who took the blow for Drake. Carnage had him pined to the ground as he dug his nails into his flesh.
“Go… now’s your only chance!” Eisenheim said as Carnage bit him in his jugular, finishing him.
The others started to flee, the possessed Amaranth chasing behind them.
“Don’t worry! Keep running! Once we’re out of Cyra’s range, the spirit will leave Amaranth’s body.” Drake said.
“Hey, what about Holly and Candi?!” Nuke commented.
“It’s getting too dangerous… I’d rather leave them behind…” Volkner replied.
As they entered the forest, Amaranth’s eyes returned to their normal color and she collapsed onto the ground breathing heavily. Volkner rushed to her, and lifting her onto his back asked “Are you okay?”
“I…think so…” she replied.
“C’mon, we have to find Fay…”
“So you’ve finally forgiven her?”
“…….”
“Sorry….”
“I think I might know…” Verith said approaching them.
“It’s been a long time, Verith…” Volkner said.
“Yeah… well… there’s this one lab I found that’s been abandoned and I saw them heading that way… I knew better than to engage them alone.”
“Can you take us?”
“Of course. Just follow me, it isn’t too far. You know that little town outside the forest? It’s in the middle of it… not the best place to set up a top secret lab if you ask me…”
Verith took them to the town, and as they walked the cobblestone streets a small Scottish terrier began approaching them swiftly.
“Oh no….” Volkner said putting his paw to his forehead.
“Why, hello again!” The terrier said.
“Douglass, we don’t have time this is VERY important, now move before people DIE!” Volkner said with a growl.
“I swear, young people these days have no manners at all…” Douglass mumbled as he trailed off.
It was well past midnight when they arrived outside the lab. It was in a dark abandoned neighborhood, and the house around were boarded up. The lab rested on top of a slope, old, cracked cement stair leading up to the doorway. As they started up the stairs, Creed stepped outside and they all stopped in their tracks.
“It’s nice to know I have such worthy opponents… but unfortunately, in every game, there must be… a loser….” Creed said, looking down on them from above.

The views keep going up, so someone must still be reading, but some feedback would be kinda nice...
Chapter 10
“Luci!!” Creed called, as Luci came rushing out. “You’re the key to the black gate…”
“I am?”
“Yes… now I need you to focus… just find the energy… and let it go…”
“Are you sure it’s me?”
“Yes, I’m positive, now do it!”
“What’s she doing?” Volkner asked.
“She’s opening the “Black Gate” …” Creed answered
“Why are you telling me this?!”
“It’s too late now… there isn’t a thing you can do to stop me anyway… it doesn’t matter.”
“Then why did you take Fay?”
“She’s the key to the “White Gate”… if that were this be opened, this would be futile…”
“Yet you brought her to the site where it’s all taking place? How stupid can you get…”
“She’s unconscious… what can she do now?”
Luci’s eyes began to glow a strange red color and a large, black double door appeared behind everyone. It looked like it was made of wood, and it was at least the size of a two story house. The doors slowly opened, and it was pitch black inside, like a void. The winds grew eerily calm and there wasn’t a single sound to be heard.
“What…the hell IS that thing?!” Nuke said backing away, as Drake, Amaranth, Verith and Volkner did also.
Creed had an evil smirk on his face, and Luci hid behind him in fear. A deep growl could be heard coming from inside the gate, and the glow of red eyes slowly emerged. A large, gray paw with sharp talon like claws reached out from inside… and then another… and as it reared it head all they could do was cower in the wake of its size and appearance. It was like a quadruped werewolf mixed with a demon. Its blood red eyes pierced the darkest of places and struck fear in the hearts of those who looked into them. It was at least three times the size of an average canine.
Volkner and the others ran up the stairs, right passed Creed and Luci and ran inside the building.
“Hiding will do you no good…” creed said as they passed him. “You can thank me later for releasing you… I think we’ll make quite a team!” Creed laughed.
“I don’t do teams… and I don’t take orders from you…” the creature said in a dark foreboding tone.
Inside, the lab was dark and obviously abandoned. Walls were covered with mildew and everything was falling apart. They stumbled into a room with a hard metal table where Fay lay unconscious.
“Fay, get up!” Volkner called hopping onto the table and shaking her a bit.
She slowly came to her senses and stood up. “Please… tell me he didn’t-“
“It’s too late, he did…”
“You know you’re-“
“Yeah, I know, I’m the key, I just didn’t want to say anything about that, now let’s find a big area that I can summon it to.” Fay said as they all scurried out of the room, and looked for the main lab. Surely the room would be big enough.
Busting through the double doors, they entered the abandoned laboratory. Almost nothing was in the spacious room, it was perfect. Fay sat down and closed her eyes, trying to concentrate. The creature outside gave a ferocious roar, and windows shattered all around the building.
“Yeah, sorry to rush you, but HURRY UP!!!” Nuke panicked.
Fay opened her eyes and they started to glow a blinding gold color as the large door appeared. It was white with a golden border and the same size as the other gate. When it opened, however there was a blinding light, and a Dalmatian – albeit without spots- but a Dalmatian none the less walked out. She was female, and the size of an ordinary adult dog. Almost instantly she looked at Volkner.
“You’re alive…” she spoke softly.
“I’m sorry, have we met?” Volkner replied, quite confused.
“Volkner… I’m your mother…”
“What?! That’s impossible! My mother is dead! She’s been dead for 15 and a half years!”
“…Your replacement mother that is… I wasn’t always behind this gate, but they knew I’d have to alive the day this happened, and I don’t age in there so… I can’t die in there. I knew I couldn’t bring you and my other pups along, so I left you with someone I could trust. So, where are your siblings?”
“..I’m the only one left… there’s Amaranth, but she’s my half sister… different mom…”
“Yeah, hate to interrupt the mushy lovey heart breaking mother son reunion thing, but THERES A TWO STORY DEMON THINGY TRYING TO KILL US!” Nuke exclaimed.
