May I ask; Is Ani Mat doing a Review of Klaus, or does he only Review Films that come to Cinema, where he is!?

I think he only reviews mainstream films that got a worldwide theatrical release. Other movies that are international, DTV, or Netflix exclusives he saves for his Classic Reviews.

The nominees for this year's Annie Awards were just announced! Here's what we have as competitors for Best Animated Feature:
Frozen II How to Train Your Dragon 3 Klaus Missing Link Toy Story 4
Those all seem like appropriate choices, even though Klaus is a Netflix exclusive, it has been getting amazing reviews. I wonder how this will effect the Oscars.
If any of you are wondering, here is what all the Mainstream animated films of this year have been nominated for:
How To Train Your Dragon 3: - Best Animated Feature - Outstanding Achievement in Character Animation - Outstanding Achievement in Production Design - Outstanding Achievement for Writing - Outstanding Achievement for Editorial
Missing Link: - Best Animated Feature - Outstanding Achievement for Animated Effects - Outstanding Achievement for Character Animation - Outstanding Achievement for Directing - Outstanding Achievement for Production Design - Outstanding Achievement for Storyboarding - Outstanding Achievement for Editorial
The Secret Life of Pets 2: - Outstanding Achievement for Voice Acting (Jenny Slate as Gidget) - Outstanding Achievement for Editorial
Toy Story 4: - Best Animated Feature - Outstanding Achievement for Animated Effects - Outstanding Achievement for Music - Outstanding Achievement for Voice Acting (Tony Hale as Forky) - Outstanding Achievement for Editorial
Abominable: - Outstanding Achievement for Animated Effects - Outstanding Achievement for Character Design - Outstanding Achievement for Production Design - Outstanding Achievement for Voice Acting (Tenzing Norgay Trainor as Jin)
The Addams Family: - Outstanding Achievement for Character Design - Outstanding Achievement for Production Design
Frozen II: - Best Animated Feature - Outstanding Achievement for Animated Effects - Outstanding Achievement for Character Animation - Outstanding Achievement for Character Design - Outstanding Achievement for Directing - Outstanding Achievement for Music - Outstanding Achievement for Voice Acting - Outstanding Achievement for Writing
Spies in Disguise: - Outstanding Achievement for Character Design - Outstanding Achievement for Music
Klaus: - Best Animated Feature - Outstanding Achievement for Character Animation - Outstanding Achievement for Character Design - Outstanding Achievement for Directing - Outstanding Achievement for Production Design - Outstanding Achievement for Storyboarding - Outstanding Achievement for Editorial
Any movies I haven't mention did not get any nominations for the Annie's, so sorry all you Lego Movie fans! Though there's also nothing for Wonder Park, UglyDolls, Angry Birds 2, Arctic Dogs and Playmobil, but let's be honest: None of those films really deserve any awards.

With Christmas coming, we have one more animated film to co-incidence with it: Spies in Disguise.
Here is its RT consensus:
Currently its critical score is 76%.
A cheerfully undemanding animated adventure that's elevated by its voice cast, Spies in Disguise is funny, fast-paced, and family-friendly enough to satisfy.

With this year being over now, and looking back at all the animated films that came out this year, I think I managed to decide on the Best and Worst of this year:
Top 5 Best: #5 - Arctic Dogs #4 - Frozen II #3 - The Secret Life of Pets 2 #2 - How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World #1 - Toy Story 4
Top 5 Worst: #5 - The Addams Family #4 - UglyDolls #3 - Angry Birds Movie 2 #2 - The Playmobil Movie #1 - Missing Link
That leaves the honorable mentions. Where would I put them? I guess I’ll put The LEGO Movie 2 and Wonder Park in the BEST category, while Abominable and Spies in Disguise would go in the WORST category.

Okay! Now that we have Spies in Disguise, our final major animated film of the year, I will say this was not the best year of animated films. Not just in terms of quality, but for box-office gross they seemed to have underperformed. In any case I will now give: TreyVore's picks for Top 5 Best and Worst Animated Films of 2019Top 5 Best#5: The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part #4: How to Train Your Dragon: the Hidden World #3: Missing Link #2: Toy Story 4 #1: Frozen 2 Top 5 Worst#5: Wonder Park #4: The Addams Family #3: UglyDolls #2: Playmobil: the Movie #1: Arctic Dogs Interesting choices, Trey. Even though they look similar to AniMat’s opinions. If I may ask: With the other four films, where would you rank them? Which two would you put in the best category, and which two would you put in the worst category? Those being... The Secret Life of Pets 2 Angry Birds 2 Abominable Spies in Disguise

Probably because it's the only film that is not either a remake or a sequel.

You guys seem very close-minded about this sort of thing. I don’t know why you guys always have to insist on thinking just because a movie is a sequel, that means it’s not going to win or get nominated. That’s just nonsense! Toy Story 3 was a sequel, and it won that Oscar. Not to mention Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, the third installment to the trilogy, won for BEST PICTURE! Award shows don’t always dismiss certain movies just because they are sequels or remakes. I don’t know where the fridge you guys keep getting that idea.

Sequels can be amazing (Godfather Part II also won Best Picture) but many are seen as "cash grabs" that may not have solely been made for artistic purposes and get knocked for it even if that wasn't the case. Awards shows also do reward stop motion animation like Missing Link because of how intricate it is.

Well, yeah, you have a point there, but...Missing Link sucked! Not to mention it flopped at the box office. I guess the Golden Globes decided to pick a dark horse for a winner this year.

There is also the fact that Toy Story 3 and Frozen already won that award.
I guess now we wait for the Oscars.
