AniMatt’s take on Missing Link:
Story: 7/10 Animation: 10/10 Characters: 7/10
Overall: 8/10 = 80%
So now that we’ve got four animated films this year, we can now begin the ranking!
1. How to Train Your Dragon 3 - 86% 2. Missing Link - 80% 3. Lego Movie 2 - 70% 4. Wonder Park - 43%
Not sure if he’ll include Penguin Highway in his countdown for this year.

I was reading around and Missing Link is not doing well at the box-office. The reviewer at ultimatedisney said it may have to do with the movie's rather uncertain audience.
Anyway, the next movie will probably not be an improvement: UglyDolls.

I know this be the unpopular opinion but I didnt like How To Train Your Dragon 3 as much I thought I would. But Im glad at least Dreamworks is making this the last one and ending it on a high note. Unlike Disney/Pixar with the unnecessary Toy Story 4..........sigh

Unlike Disney/Pixar with the unnecessary Toy Story 4..........sigh Actually, most people seem to be branding Dragon 3 as the worst of the trilogy. I happen to be the opposite. So if anyone is the unpopular opinion, it’s me. As for Toy Story 4, opinions are mixed right now. There are about four different demographics. You’re either in a demographic that’s saying... 1. “Yes! I am super hyped about this!” 2. “Another one? Uh...okay.” 3. “Pixar is just trying to make more money!” 4. “Pixar, you’d better prove it’s worth continuing after that perfect ending!”

I mean I feel its so unessary for another one. I mean I would love a Spinoff movie or a new Toy Story with new toys, but in my opinion, Andy's Toy Story is complete and they dont need another movie with Woody and Buzz.

"The Queen's Corgi" is already coming out a little late, in real life all Queen Elizabeth II's famous corgis have passed on , but the animated film itself is going to date itself hard in the coming years after it comes out. Despite the premise the film apparently features a parody of large parody of President Donald Trump (named as such) with the story featuring him visiting the palace to have dinner with the Queen. It's not even a good parody, it's extremely shallow to the point it misses the mark (Trump shows up for said dinner in a solid gold Rolls-Royce).
I'm not a Trump supporter but he's going to be out of office in five years tops if we don't kick him to curb next year. Making fun of him is going to date the film a lot harder than using a generic "jerk U.S. President" character like so many British productions do.

Totally. At least when Beavis and Butthead Do America featured Bill Clinton they had the sense to not refer to him by name.
Politics don't tend to make for lasting movies.

The Animaniacs used to make fun of Bill Clinton all the time. And they did refer to his name as well. And their cartoon has been a lasting and well remembered show. In fact, I heard they are actually going to be rebooting and creating another Animaniacs show soon. I just hope its good

Well, I don’t have much to say about The Queen’s Corgi other than it’s only going to be released in the UK. Sounds like another certain animated show about dogs that we all know.
Also, in a couple weeks, the UK is getting the new Shaun the Sheep movie, but the US isn’t getting that until December!

Yeah. It’s coming next year, but it’s going to be a Hulu exclusive

Well, tomorrow, we are getting UglyDolls. It’s not looking good at all. It currently has a score of 33% on Rotten Tomatoes, so I have a feeling this will be the big stinker of the year. Either that or Spies in Disguise or Abominable.

Either that or Spies in Disguise or Abominable. It's not doing so hot at the box-office either. After it's first week it's only made $9.6 million against a budget of $45-53 million. The irony is, it was bumped up one week only to get buried under Avengers: Endgame when it was supposed to avoid direct competition with Pokémon: Detective Pikachu. Talk about stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Just saw AniMatt’s review of UglyDolls. The verdict?
Story: 2/10 Animation: 7/10 Characters: 3/10 Songs: 4/10
Overall: 4/10 = 40%
SEAL OF GARBAGE!
So now, here’s how it looks:
1. How to Train Your Dragon 3 - 86% 2. Missing Link - 80% 3. Lego Movie 2 - 70% 4. Wonder Park - 43% 5. UglyDolls - 40%
Looks like UglyDolls now currently ranks as his pick for the worst animated film of the year. I had doubts about that one anyway.
