I was talking DND on a discord server of mine and it got me wondering if anyone here know about it or enjoy it themselves. Now, I know there are groups out there like Critical Role but I wanna see what you all have to say about DND. Do you know about it? And if you do, do you play it or do you want to play it?

I have seen numerous Videos about D & D, and I would certainly like to try it some when, myself. These D & D Videos incluede; Counter Monkey, D 20 Live & Puffin Forest, and they do show intriguing D & D Experiances.
I think the one I base Kendra on is part of a D & D Group, on her first game, but things have been busy with said group.
Like I post, however, I would like to try playing D & D some when.
What types of D & D Experiances do you have, Pups?

D&D is something I've been getting into as recently as the last... year and a half, I'd say? I'm currently in one regular weekly game with a group of online friends, and I've been having a great time with it! Our party is not comprised of... shall we say.. the most upstanding citizens, but the way we interact with one another has been entertaining and worthwhile alone. I used to play in an in-person group as well, but I have a feeling our game is done and over with.
For those who are interested in following a D&D story, but aren't able to play in a game themselves, there are also many different shows and podcasts available that offer an engaging narrative while making use of the mechanics. My personal favorite (though admittedly I'm currently behind on it) is Critical Role, a weekly game streamed live and played by several people who work in the voice acting industry. Matthew Mercer's storytelling ability is a gift. They have two campaigns: one that ended in 2017 but was grown out of the home game they'd been playing long before they started streaming, and an ongoing one that's been running since January 2018 (and is the one I'm more inherently familiar with.)
There's also The Adventure Zone, often seen as the much sillier counterpart to CritRole, which is a podcast done by the McElroy brothers and family. I've personally never listened to this one, but I know there's a less strict emphasis on the rules of the game, as well as a much deeper story underneath it's incredibly goofy exterior that's worth listening for.
Both of these are sort of the poster child for a larger D&D-based franchise as well: TAZ has been enjoying a successful graphic novel adaptation, and CritRole has comics detailing the backstories of their first campaign characters, as well as an animated television series (also about their first campaign characters) coming in a few years.
And, as far as actual tabletop games go, since this is a Dalmatian forum and all... I've been told Pugmire is basically just D&D but with dogs. Probably worth looking into.
