Okay, this is the eighth Episode, but this is more of a focus on Shane and this story takes a few weeks after Blake's Journey.
Inside the barn, it was dark, as an Adult Male Doberman with pointy ears, a black upper body and an orangish lower body, sat down on the floor with a lit candle stick, his name was TJ. "Can you extinguish this flame without making any noise or being seen?" TJ asked.
A Male Dalmatian with a Bandanna tried to catch the flame.
But TJ dodged it. "Too careless, Shane."
A Male Dalmatian with a Green Collar appeared and tried to distinguish the flame but TJ dodged him as well. "Too Noisy, Blake." He said to him.
A Male Dalmatian with a Red Collar tried taking out the flame twice but TJ dodged him as well. "Too reckless, Shawn." He said to him.
A pup in the shadows above her master opened her eyes, dropped down and cut the candle with her claws and held the candle to blow it out, the light revealed to be a Female Dalmatian with two white ears and three spots in a straight line on her body, her name was Balance.
TJ was impressed with Balance's attempt as he clapped his paws and the lights inside the barn came on. "That was very impressive, Balance." He said to Balance.
Shawn, Blake and Shane got up.
Shawn looked at his sister. "Teacher's pet." He remarked.
Balance smiled and threw the candle stick to Shawn. "Ninja drop out."
Blake and Shane just ooh'ed as Shawn grabbed the candle stick and crushed it in his paw.
Sensing tension between Balance and Shawn, TJ looked at both Balance and Shawn. "That is enough." He spoke, trying to break them up. "You pups have done exceedingly well, these past few weeks, I'm very pleased with all four of you."
Blake smiled as he wagged his tail.
"While there's still more to learn, I'm sure you four will be able to impress me even further." TJ continued. "Now, go on and play."
"Thanks, sensei." The pups spoke.
The pups left the barn and headed outside to stretch their legs.
Shane on the other paw, wanted to check out what nature had in store for him as he stopped and looked out into the woods.
Balance stopped and looked at Shane. "You coming, Lucky and the others has some plans for a game that they would like to go over with us." She said to him.
Shane shook his head. "No, you guys go on ahead, I'm going to check something out at Hiccup Hole." He said to his sister.
"Okay, just be safe." Balance said to Shane.
"Don't worry, I will." Shane spoke.
Shane ran into the woods, birds chirping from on top of the tree limbs, were music to his ears. "The wonderful world of Nature." He spoke as he circled around, as he continued his way into the woods. He smiled as he kept his eyes peeled for anything that was making sounds or was moving.
"Mom did say that you can experience Nature in your own backyard, but this is amazing." He said to himself, he watched as a Dragonfly had entered the area, he watched it fly sideways and forward. "Amazing!"
Shane breathed in the fresh air from the woods around him, recalling how there has been protests from news reports, he wondered if it's possible for people to sell air if tree's weren't around, but deep down, he knew that it would never come to this, he's seen people place new trees in place of old ones before on the TV.
The only thing that really intrigued him was when the Narrator of the Nature show had been discussing the natural habitat of the animal of the week, but he couldn't enjoy it long enough when Blake was in the room, naming every Animal in sight.
As he got toward Hiccup Hole, he noticed Lucy The Goose swimming in the pond, he did recall that Lucy wasn't very friendly since they've been rescued, but did remember that Colonel spoke to old Trowser, who said that Lucy was deeply worried about the pups, so he figured that she just didn't want to admit that she cares deeply about the pups and hides that pretty well.
He moved on without giving it a second thought about taking a dip in the pond, the only thing he cared about was what was waiting on the other side of the forest, of course he knew that Shawn wouldn't go as there were bugs that would pesture him as he hated the sight of bugs, himself on the other paw didn't see anything wrong with them.
Shane the heard some whimpering from a far as he continued, as he got closer, the whimper started getting louder and louder as he saw a Dalmatian with a series of spots on her back that formed a Diamond, but her eyes were different from his and everyone else's as the eyes were Yellow. "Hey there." He said to her.
The pup looked at him as she backed away as far as the trap could let her. "Who are you and who sent you?" She asked.
Shane walked over to the trap that was set before him, it looked like it had snared the pup's hind leg in it's grip. "No one sent me." He replied to the pup. "The name's Shane by the way." He examined the trap.
"Are you a friend or foe?" The pup growled, by the tone of voice, Shane didn't believe that the pup would trust him.
"Neither, but I'm not here to hurt you." Shane replied to the pup. "What's your name?"
The pup couldn't really remember the name she was called. "I can't... remember." She said to Shane.
Shane pulled the two ends of the bear trap loose from Diamond's leg. "Amnesia, huh?" He asked as he watched the pup get her hind leg from the bear trap. He released the two pieces. He then walked over to the pup to inspect the leg. "I'm sure your memory will return soon."
"One can only hope." The pup spoke.
"I'm sure it will, for now, I'll call you, Diamond." Shane spoke.
"Why?" Diamond asked.
"Cause you have a Diamond shaped spot on your back." Shane replied.
"Oh, that..." Diamond said.
"Do you know how you got here?" Shane asked as he sat down on the soft patches of grass.
Diamond just lowered her head as she looked away out of the corner of her eyes, her ears drooped a little. "No, only thing I can remember is running from a bully named Mikoto." She replied.
"Mikoto?" Shane asked.
